  • This Javascript tutorial covers Javascript arrays and looping arrays in Javascript. Arrays store lists of items of any type. You can iterate a Javascript array with loops, making it easy to run actions on all of the items in the array.
    This is a Free Javascript Course designed for beginners. These Javascript lessons cover the basics of Javascript and programming basics from the very beginning.

    This is by far the best way to learn loops through a video because man some instructors make it much more complicated than it actually is.

    Fantastic tutorial series! Speaking as a teacher, your delivery is clear, jargon-free (unless absolutely necessary), and full of enough variety in examples as well as pointing out common pitfalls (like escaping special characters) that it's very easy to follow. I taught myself HTML coding in my teenage years, but I was afraid of javascript's complexity and avoided it. I learned PHP in my 20s and got a small intro to programming, but still in a friendly amount. Finally, in my 30s, these tutorial videos have demystified a lot about javascript programming that has kept me from trying it out in my own website making. Thank you so much!

    Internet tutorials are easily accessible and numerous, although that is a case in which quantity prevails over quality.However, your tutorials REALLY have quality and are easy to follow unlike many others. I am thankful to you! x)

    Just started taking a dive into Javascript, so these were great. I'd already covered this stuff so far, but it was a fantastic refresher / reminder, since I'm still just diving in, and your explanations were super clear and helped with some of my basic understandings. Might have been worth mentioning for people to avoid infinite loops in this video though :).

    I've tried learning many codes before like java c++ c# and even BASIC I just could never get into them because the tutorials were very bad and had little to no explanation so then I tried going to simple drag and drop codes like scratch game maker and construct they were good for a little while but they just couldn't handle very complex codes (except game maker which let you add your own code to it but it was java and c++ that you had to use) so then I kinda just gave up on learning to code for a few months and I would start small projects here and there but nothing could do what I wanted easily without restricting me then I found javascript I looked into and I thought hey this looks easy so then I look up on youtube javascript tutorial and was looking for a good tutorial and I found one of your older videos I found it clicked on the new and improved one that was in the suggestions tab and instantly got back into code so you sir, got a sub all l tutorial videos liked I really can't ask for any more of an explanation your awesome and my only complaint is I wish there was more :P again keep up the amazing work

      +Debbi Edmonds Yes, JS is tougher, because it's a true programming language, whereas HTML is more content markup and css is more style.
      The GOOD news - learning your first programming language is the hardest, once you learn JS, things like Ruby, Python, PHP, etc won't be near as difficult should you try to learn them.

    Super useful video tutorial series, thanks so much for sharing your skills/time. It would be great to see your examples functioning in real world webpages, as the console and alert dialogue feel quite isolated unlike html and css tuts where you can see practical examples which are easier to relate to, (or perhaps you could recommend such a video). Can't wait for your next episode in this series. You rock!!

    Hey Will, Thank you very much for great video's.
    You are the only person I watch regarding to development tutorials. I learnt HTML & CSS in 2011 by watching lynda tutorials and now in 2015 I found you on youtube. And I started learning coding again because you have the attitude to teach other's you know exactly what beginner's needs to learn. You know exactly that if you clear the basic concepts to beginner's then they will be able to fly through advanced stuff easily.
    I also teach my friends HTML & CSS and other new skills that I learn and just like you I try to explain as much as I can so they can learn better and get into this field and can start a better career. ( "without a university degree lol :D" )
    There is one thing that I wanna say about you " Only one person can teach that amazingly. The one who had struggled a lot to learn all skills and want others to learn alot from you. "
    Again thank you very much please keep teaching us we want to learn :) thanks..!!

      Yeah, I definitely have a lot of stuff in the pipeline. I'm trying to navigate between my 2 main audiences, which are beginners and people wanting the advanced stuff. I'll throw a few more beginner javascript videos in and then get back to some more advanced stuff.

    • @smoothbeak
      @smoothbeak 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LearnCode.academy I think you teach to both audiences very well, which is a rare gift.
      A few things clicked when you went over the idea of closures and how javascript is asynchronous etc - I am not sure if you have done any videos on prototypal inheritance, and other terms such as 'pseudo-classical inheritance' (I don't know what that is) but the videos that I have seen have all been geared towards people who come from other languages and understand the idea of classes, methods etc.
      So that would be something that could benefit from your style for sure.
      These video's are probably a bit easy for me now (although it's good to refresh), but I think they are very
      important for the newer people. I would have benefited from them a few months back even.
      Anyway, nice videos. I have just started going to a "Learn to Code" meetup in my city, and I will direct the people who are interested in learning JavaScript to some of your videos. Cheers

    • @learncodeacademy
      @learncodeacademy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Jeffery Thanks Daniel! Yeah, I definitely have it on the agenda to release some more advanced JS programming patterns. I'm probably going to be going back and forth between making videos for this beginner course and a JS programming patterns playlist for my next few videos.

      Awesome, a guy named Kyle Simpson talks about some good topics in detail, has written some books I think called "You Don't Know JavaScript". That level would be cool. All the best
