We have sent ONE small space probe to within 3 million miles of the sun... we are in NO way, shape or form anywhere CLOSE to being able to build millions (if not billions) of tons of structures, transport all of that to the sun only to then have to construct it all around the sun... To echo the previous reply... Delusion!! 😂😂😂
Why is he such a negative nelly? Actually, earth could become a Dyson sphere, and it doesn't have to harness the Sun's energy, it could generate energy from the magnetic and kinetic friction between rings. I've been working on miniature spheres magnetized, hovering on platforms, hollowed out so that each layer of the spheres iron crust became rings, even added miniature organic life, water, sand & ice making these spheres miniature worlds one day for purchase but the Dyson spheres are like mini eternal engines and on a grander scale this could make interstellar space travel possible. Inform yourself you, negative person.
@georgehenderson4112 I find it sad that you think you're in touch with reality so much that you dont have your own mind. You're just rehashing what science has taught you. Real science is about new theories, especially if it's hypothetical and not tested or proven. May my practical approach inspire and influence. We should be peer reviewing and collaborating, not making negative remarks.
You think there should have been a second space craft filming it? V expensive and given the heat, impossible but you be you. Don't let facts mess you up.
It was four million miles from the surface, that's 16 times further than the distance from the earth to the moon. It's impressive but by no means unbelievable.
@@irqittuq415 They weren't trying to break a record, they were trying to get close to study the sun's corona, which is sort of like the sun's atmosphere. It's an important thing to research, because the sun regularly produces coronal mass ejections of radiation that, if strong enough, can damage electronics and potentially even harm our health through damaging the ozone layer.

You could say that about any attempt to advance science. Yet science has brought us from a hand to mouth peasant existence with regular famines, to the modern world of relative plenty.
I agree science is important but the way the world is right now, we have people starving and a genocide in progress this seems like the last priority for how much it cost. Learning about the sun means nothing when we can’t even look after each other
I remember the Thunderbirds episode.
Now what they'll never tell you is that they went at night.
😁
Looks like we're closer to the Dyson sphere than we know. Let's hope the collective unity of humanity can work together to achieve such a structure.

What has this to do with overpriced vacuum cleaners that don't work?

Why would people need to know about the sun, we dont grow out food in it, we use Macdonald's ?
Why are you doing that but that is crazy!
The government has nothing better to do than take vast amounts of taxpayer money are breaking meaningless records
Animations and cartoons for the masses🤣🤣🤣
Don't forget government gays handing each other nepotistic contracts for vast sums of money

i swear people will believe anything as long as a newscaster is saying it 😂
Please present your irrefutable proof that it didn't happen.

@@Dorgpoopand POINTLESS. Why not just aim a satellite directly into the sun to break such a record?

Literally burning money they could have fed people what a waste of resources
Yes, but it's fun to do this just to irritate the likes of your type 😂😂😂
The critical data makes it a good trade.
Agriculture depends on the sun so understanding it might help.

Learning about the sun means nothing when we can’t even look after each other
Why?
To try and figure how to absorb energy from the sun
@ actually to study the corona & coronal mass ejections
@@jaxtherippah970but there's already been photosynthesis doing this for the last 3.8 billion years
@@TheYahmezthat is NOT TRUE. If it was, then THAT would have been mentioned as the new record in the headline. IT WAS NOT.
