This was conditioning and programming at its finest. Those were the most hard ass rock ass cookies you’ve ever tasted but because the commercial was bangin, so were the cookies.
Imagine how much Nabisco spent on this since at that time computer graphics were the most expensive animation technology of the age. I bet it cost them the price of over 100,000,000 cookies to make this ad. Also never forget Nabisco was founded as a price fixing scheme so they many hundreds of independent cookie companies could avoid competing with eachother's prices essentially making them a cartel akin to DeBeers, Standard Oil, and modern day Microsoft. They exist to screw you over financially, not that there's anything inherently wrong with that, you choose to give them your buisness.
Is this an early version of the Chunky Chips Ahoy! commercial, or a later version? I remember the commercial vividly, but with a completely different tune. I'm not sure whether the version I remember came before or after this one. Also wish the Chewy Chips Ahoy! commercial from this series would show up. It was like a circus-themed commercial.
