I think Yozakura Family really has it all. Action, romance, comedy, and suspense all being carried out by amazing characters. I could make an essay on the character writing of the series alone and the consistent theme of moving on from grief and tragedy.

Been reading the manga since it's first month of serializing, im glad we finally got a physical release. it's crazy how much chapters we have for the manga and not a single word of anime adaption yet.

It is great that Chibi covered Yozakura Family. It is a pretty underrated series that should get more attention. Yeah the start of the series is slow but it picks up pretty nicely in the 30s.
Okay, but Mutsume and Taiyo as a couple are just chefs kiss. The sibling relationship is so good, and each one has a great characterization each one with his way of dealing with trauma and loss and its just... so good!
Mission: Yozakura Family is a true gem for SJ and has one of the funniest, wholesome and badass families anywhere plus Taiyo with Mutsumi great couple not to mention spy action greatness

If you are looking for more mangas to read I can also recommend ''Sousou no Frieren'' If you have not read it yet. It is nothing like Yozakura family as a manga but It is a very well written and awesome story

Well Yozakura Family is about Spies as is Naruto about Ninjas and One Piece about Pirates.
Weirdly enough I also caught up to MYF yesterday. Didn't expect this video. I really love this series and the main antagonist. Also Taiyo and Mutsumi are one of the cutest couple. Hopefully it gets an anime ASAP

It is such an underrated manga
It does slow down in chapter 12 to 25 but it picks up in a big way after that. The character's the power system and art are all really Great 👍🏻

I'm sad these series was released on Hulu they don't advertise the Anime they have and great shows fall out in the cracks of advertise series. The series is super cool yet so little people know about it because Hulu.

It’s a great series, and actually quite surprising it hasn’t gotten an anime adaption considering how long it’s been out now. It’s nothing game changing nor a masterpiece but it’s just overall solid, something that is I think rare these days, since the adaptations that do come out now are either super hyped series that are obviously good or otherwise flops and abominations. The series reminds me of a modern take of Katekyo Hitman Reborn

I stumbled on this one a while back and was immediately hooked. But I didn't see many people talking about it and saw how new it was and immediately started getting worried that it was gonna get the axe soon, glad to see that's not been the case... yet
After 150 chapters, it's been safe from being axed

I just caught up with the series recently and it is a good series. The recent arcs by far better than the previous ones (especially because we kind of move away from Mutsumi being the catalyst that the villains are after and goes into a more interesting route), the only problem I have is that Taiyo does not really get any character development, just power-ups (he is the same as he was in the beginning, with his only kind of flaw, afraid of forming relationships, being resolve really early in the series). The tragedy of his family being dead does not really come into playing in the story in a way to develop his character and just there to remind us that he has a sad backstory.
eh I disagree, it comes into play with the Train arc and the fight with kawashita
@@carrit10TV in the Train arc his family is mostly used to develop the "villain" of that arc as well as show Taiyo seeing his little brother die in order to give him a temporary berserk power boost (but it never has any impact on his character at all after that).
In the Kawashita fight, it is used just as a reminder (in a hypocritical way)
@@Yudaisei0 it literally develops him, look at chapter 58. Kawashita fight was less so but it was more about his self doubt and loss of willpower because of him going through so much trauma him thinking it was enough
@@carrit10TV I know chapter 58 and he really did not get any character development that was not already there. Him wanting to protect Mutsumi and his new normal was already there, so nothing new. His brother's death could have been something more impactful if done better than just a flashback in one chapter to give Taiyo a power boost and never brought up again afterwords.
In his fight with Kawashita his family, like I said, was just a reminder, did not really develop his character (also Kawashita's speech to Taiyo is so "idiotic").
In the end, in both, what happened was that Mutsumi has to remind Taiyo to not give up and stop using the power-up incorrectly, so that we the reader are reminded that Mutsumi is the reason Taiyo is capable of doing anything.
@@Yudaisei0 The final paragraph I agree with, but I do think some development happened with his family still being on his mind. He's been burdened by two families and now only has one in mind
I honestly think this hasn't gotten an anime adaptation yet, because Jump doesn't want it to air alongside Spy x Family. Even though they are completely different in tone and execution, a lot of people will simply see "oh, 2 anime about spies".
I'm actually willing to bet we'll get some news about this series once SxF's current anime begins airing its final chapters.
I saw the first volume of this at Barnes and Noble the other day and debated whether or not to pick it up. Now I will. It sounds very intriguing
