I have been a Logic user for 23 years since it was Emagic. I used the Luna Free to mix a song just as a challenge. I bought it and have stopped using Logic since. This thing is a beast. If you have ever used outboard gear or like that kinda setup, you will like it.
Hello, Adam - Nice teaser on Luna. I was temped to explore the wonders of Luna way earlier in 2023. However, it was exactly the "Mac Only" bit that turned me cold. Philosophically, I don't care for the "If you want to use this DAW you will have to change out your entire DAW hardware setup." That sucks. In contrast with, for example, Harrison Mixbus - "You can use our product on (just about) ANY hardware setup you have." THAT, "boys & girls" is one of Harrison's greatest selling points. Ok. So with that having been said... I concur that Luna does have many new-to-date features and capabilities and, when combined with the SSL controller you spotlighted here, it should be a really great DAW for existing (and transitioning) Mac users. It should be interesting to see what version 10 of Harrison Mixbus will add (around Feb/March 2024)... Stay Tuned!!!!!! Very Best Wishes and Success to Bardon Music for 2024!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Patrick for your kind words, I now realize that I should've mentioned that Luna no longer is attached to hardware so you can use it with any interface you have
I have used Ableton Live for producing and Logic Pro X for mixing.... But after UAD makes Luna free, I have switched to Logic for producing and use Luna for mix and master... Really love Luna ❤
That's my current set up, Logic and Maschine for production based on the genre I'm working on and Luna and Mixbus for mixing based on what I had for lunch that day haha
@@royalemuzikproductionz stop the cap!!! My brother rob refuses to let go of luna... There hasn't been a day I've been there that luna didn't do something stupid. I keep a PC on a kvm for those times I'm around. I highly doubt luna hasn't crashed for you in 3 years, I'm calling cap.
don't get me wrong I work in Ableton 12 yrs now and the struggle been real but ,if I could carry all of my workflow id itch Ableton especially for crashing and not finding samples@@davidcache

💯 best DAW by far

Best DAW for free of charge even without the pro version it’s still a beast with vst3 plugins installed on your Mac 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Ah says it's only for mac users.
FREE!!!!!*
* with purchase of a Mac.
It is free because it now opens your wallet to their plugins even more.
it is a Trojan horse haha, but gotta say that UAD Plugs are amazing

sorry @55 LUNA offers nothing but a cliche niche, I rather download the cracked version of Luna pro, has all the UAD plugs with it lol!

Luna crashes too often to be "the best"
Not ready for primetime.
About 3 years I got Luna with an Apollo twin x I bought and I’ve never had a crash yet

@@therearenoruleshere that's more believable. But I call cap on 3 years.
@@therearenoruleshere logic is amazing. Protools loves to break. Luna had a rough start, glad to hear its better now.
