Petalcorin is noob. He could have outboxed Alvarado by using the jab. He should have fired some jabs and move to a different angle before Alvarado gains momentum. Heck, he could have pushed him back if only he used his jabs followed by nasty combinations from an angle where Alvarado will be too outbalanced to counter and march forward. Look at the beginning of Rounds 5 and 6, ganun sana! Ginagaya kasi si Pacquiao with that split-counter, lead lefts di naman nya master. Nakalimutan tuloy na may right jab and right hand pa sya. That's what exactly what I am criticizing with the out-boxers and boxer-puncher of today. They are trying to mimic Floyd Mayweather's fighting in the ropes style but doesn't have the right skills set to execute it.
