Custom 18" Neca Terminator Endoskeleton build

- Early last year I started out modifying a 18 inch Neca Endoskeleton.
My goal was to make it as accurate as possible to a "real" one.
I've had a few people asking how I did it so I made this video.
Apologies for all the photos and lack of video clips (there is some video clips)
I never intended this to be a video upon completion. For future projects I'll be sure to video them.

Amazing work 👌 very inspiring. Looks 100 times better after the rebuild. I tried to do the same a failed 😔 so I'm building one from a magazine. Called build the terminator.
It's twice as big has a lot of metal parts and if you custom the face it will look amazing 😁😎

This is absolutely brilliant! Did you airbrush the liquid chrome or just apply the pen? I could never get the pen to self level on my custom Sarah Connor Chronicles Terminator I'm painting!

Thank you! It's bass guitar strings. I used them for the neck and shoulder hoses too. Just cut them to size.

it looks so much better & authentic, but are you going to chrome it all over, (if the new parts will chrome) & then it should look as good as the hot toys endo or side show one

Thank you. I'd love to do more but this one took quite a while, almost 6 months work went into this to get the level of detail I wanted. Although much of that was trial and error and working out how to build parts. Maybe later this year when I've sorted out a proper work space.

excellent work, I don't know of anyone that's satisfied with the original Neca figure, I neve thought it would be possible to make this amount of improvement. to it how long did it all take? most enthusiasts only chrome over this figure which helps, but their still stuck with that mass produced looking toy version plus 18 " is a great scale for this particular character properly show casing the brilliant detail..
Thank you, im very proud of it! Its hard to tell as I did it on and off over the course of a year but at a guess I'd say about 2 months work when into it.
Or can you atleast tell me how you did the custom eyes please?... I want to buy two of these from Ebay and mod the eyes so that they stay on until I turn them off. Please sir, your help would be greatly appreciated ❤❤❤

I didn't use any coating, just the kiwi liquid shoe polish for weathering. It's only a display piece so it won't be getting handled.
How did you apply the Molotow liquid chrome?
Air spray gun, marker pen, or brush?
I want to make mine chrome without any body modifications. Looks like a ton of work.
Straight out of the marker and then with a brush for the hard to reach places. It took me about 2-3 days to fully chrome. If you do use molotow liquid chrome be very careful not to touch it once applied and have somewhere ready to let it dry. Also, I'd recommend priming and a black gloss undercoat.. the gloss provides a nice smooth surface for the liquid chrome to flow more evenly for a better finish.
@@gilmorecreations8572 I can't believe the shoe polish didn't kill the chrome. I tried something similar to a robocop I was working on and the kiwi made it super dull. Insane work bud, I still have my t800 there waiting, but it is such a daunting job to start... I know it will consume all my weekends ahaha
r you going to repaint the figure either Robocop metallic or maybe terminator mirror chrome? or leave it that god awful battle ship plasticy grey?

I have seen a lot of modification and development on the terminator models, and they were not of this quality. I even think about imitating your work.
Would I be able to send you 2 brand new ones and you could paint them for me and put in better eyes? I will pay you of course :) no base needed :)
