Sketchup quiet different from autocad, don’t compare both software. Just Understand sketchup tool, automatically you will do all autocad functions here.
Once we create custom shortcut keys in current templates...It will be working on other templates also or otherwise we want to assign again and again while opening new template???
Actually after 2010 all sketchup versions are good. Each Latest version just improved their tools and settings. Just Try latest version always feel best experience

Where to download mirror tool using similar autocad.
No mirror tool in sketchup, use scale tool to mirror or get extensions in extension warehouse

I am just teaching courses. I didn’t work projects.because i don’t have time.lot of exterior designers available in market please approach them.
