The wooden balls are garland like for a fisherman or if you had a house on the water you might have just a Xmas tree with the garland n a few fishing ornaments..The balls are made to look like bobbers that help you tell if you have a fish on your hook...could be used in a kids room as deco after xmas...thanks for your cheerful attitude n sharing your adventures with us

I think what you mean to ask is... Why aren't these big businesses donating these items?
Saving it from the landfill is good enough for me! It is absolute nonsense to produce something for it not to be used but instead go straight to the dump because it is easier for the business to write it off as damages than it is for them to donate it. I don't think people understand how hard it is to dumpster dive. It's not all just taking a bunch of new stuff out of the dumpster... it's having a place to store it, unloading and loading it more times than we'd like to count, cleaning it, sometimes fixing it, organizing, figuring out where or to who it should go, then loading again, bringing it to that place...and yup, you guessed it, unloading again! Keep doing what you're doing! Great saves!
