If I was an employee of a store and somebody told me "the customer is always right" I'd say: "well I guess you're hired" or "that's the only reason we'll hire you"
the idea that the click fanbase could occupy a country is terrifying edit- 1.3k people have liked my comment, thats already enough to takeover a small city state like Vatican City
The woman wanting her fiancé to get rid of his daughter, WHO'S MOTHER DIED AT BIRTH, is crazy. I hope the fiancé found out about it and got rid of her. What a horrible human being
Since she's asking for advice, my advice to her would be to try REALLY hard to imagine how she would feel if her fiance said something like that to her. I know it's hard for her to imagine that other people have their own thoughts, dreams, wants, and wishes, but just TRY and consider someone else for a second. And if she manages it, good, keep doing it. Everyone she meets, she should try to imagine that they have their own lives and aren't just props in hers. If she can't do that, I'd suggest that maybe that guy could stand to raise a second child who's mother has died.
Technically yes, I was brought into the world by a straight couple. However, my mom is pansexual and thought she would've ended up with a woman until she met and got to know my dad. Being in a straight relationship doesn't take away the multi-sexuality of people in said relationship.
Exactly. My mother is bi, and I’m ace, yet I have a kid. And when I was growing up I had a friend who’s bio mom is a lesbian. She got married young, had kids, but several years in to the marriage realized she was gay and just wasn’t happy. So they divorced and a couple years later the mom married (in a ceremony as it wasn’t legal yet) her girlfriend. And her ex-husband was at the wedding. It’s just ridiculous for anyone to assume that only straight people have children.
Indeed. My mum grew up in a time when marrying and having a family was just “what you do” my mum didn’t even know what asexuality was until I explained it to her, but she knew that she wasn’t really attracted to people in a sexual way. But chances are, if I told an anti-asexual person that my mum is Ace, they’d give me an earful about how she can’t be ace or else I wouldn’t exist, or stupidity like that.
Fox in A box I lucked out growing up two doors down from an openly gay couple in a time when that wasn’t the norm. It just seemed normal to me. My own parents were divorced, so I had a dad, mom, and step-dad, so it seemed completely logical to my 6-year-old brain that my friend had a dad, mom, and step-mom. I still remember her mom explaining to us that “the princesses in movies fall in love with princes, but sometimes the princess falls in love with another princess. Or the prince falls in love with a prince. They just don’t show that on tv. But it happens all the time.” It was entirely logical to us. Why wouldn’t a girl fall in love with a girl? So when other adults around us started talking about “perversion” and “the sanctity of marriage” we just rolled our eyes and ignored them because we already knew how wrong they were.

66 year old grandmother here, heavily tattooed, and I get a lot of attention when I go out and about. All of it has been positive, including from people of my age or older, with no tattoos, who talk about how they wish they'd had the courage to get tatted themselves. I also get teens and young adults stopping me, telling me they hope they can be like me when they get older. So, no negative attention. Oh, by the way, I used to be a teacher. Oh, by the way, I and my partner (also female) had 2 children together (she was the one who got pregnant - I already had 2 who were young adults) through insemination by donor. So, not a straight couple.... Oh, and the donor was a gay friend, so no straight people involved in the creation of 2 human beings. Thank you, Click, for being the blasphemous, sarcastic, humerous , caring, empathic person you are. Keep going!
Holy. Shit. Can u be my grandmother? My mom’s probably my biggest ally (I’ll say my age range is 16-18), but her mom is being incredibly rude. Can we both adopt you as grandma? You actually sound like you’d be the coolest 66-year-old I’d ever have the pleasure of meeting!
That makes me feel way better about my tattoos. Last few years been feeling that i need to remove them all, wearing long sleeves in summer and whatnot.
Honestly, my best advice for the "no stepmom" Karen would be "tell your fiancé about wanting to get rid of his daughter right away so he doesn't end up marrying a monster"
@@ignisshadowflame1027 I think that's what Stechus was saying. Dump the step "mom", and fight to save her son from that amoral monster, to raise him in a non karen household... Then again, that could just be me.
i think those bullies need more intense psychological help than anyone depressed/SHing/suicidal. like… yikes….(also i have been suicidal - i know how much psychological help is needed there, and karens need more)
Fun fact: I was told by an interviewer at a restaurant that a lot of restaurants and stores here in Australia, do NOT use "the customer is always right" and have every reason to deny a person service if they're being rude. I'm not sure about other countries, but I absolutely love this.
In Australia our drop bears control the Karen population... Actually, pretty much all of our wildlife controls the Karen population. Most of our plants too. Also our wildfires. Followed by our floods. And our rip tides take the swimming karens. We have nothing to fear in Australia.
"The customer is always right" has never been any policy for any business ever. It's purely an advertising slogan (that, today, is actually illegal to use in many cases, because modern truth-in-advertising laws means stores aren't allowed to advertise policies that they don't actually have).
Customer is always right. If they want whip cream on their filet mignon, you whip up some cream and charge money for it. That is what it actually means, the phrase comes from hospitality business. It means "no matter how stupid the request is to you, you sell it". For retail this means that no matter how stupid some new fad is, you sell it. You don't have to understand why they want it, you just sell it. It does not mean customer is literally right about everything, they are only right when they want something that you can sell to them.
I love when people try to be progressive but end up saying “[Insert Race] are too stupid to realize they’re being oppressed.” It’s the pinnacle of hypocrisy🤣.
I love how Click's videos are getting longer. Nothing like ending your day laughing at Karens with the world's most cursed and also most wholesome man.
On the "a Karen works here": I went to a really expensive store in my home town and was just looking around. Apparently they didn't like the look of me, and one of the attendants kept following me around and then started to tell me about how I probably couldn't afford the items I was taking a closer look at. She clearly wasn't bright enough to realise that almost all of the clothes I was wearing were from the same designer, only I am a goth so it were all black items from their collection. Anyway, I told my mom, so the next week we went back there. My mother at the time spent a few hundred euros at that particular store every month. So we went in, looked around, the attendant recognised both my mother as a huge costumer and me as the person she treated that way. My mother just said something along the lines of "nah, let's go to *same designer store one city over*. I will cherish the way the blood left that attendants face for the rest of my life. She'll think twice about being a judgemental idiot in the future.
no 🤦♂they scamed you this is actually a very common tactic in big designer stores insult the customer make them feel poor so they spend money to prove you wrong Being rude is a sales tactic that actually gets people to buy more. Experts are calling this the “Pretty Woman effect”-when a salesperson insults you or assumes you can't afford something, you automatically want to prove them wrong. google it
"Thank a straight person for your existence" My daughter: ".....who am I thanking? My bisexual mom or my bisexual trans mom? I mean I guess my dad is straight, but he didn't have anything to do with my conception......"
No, no.. you're supposed to go up to some random stranger, ask them if they're straight, and if they say "yes", then thank them for helping to bring you into this world!
Yeah, I’m so sick of ignorant people, thinking they’ve owned anyone with that quote. Good news is it’ll eventually die out as a delusional argument in the face of modern medicine and Science.
15:40 They pride themselves in being "natural" and "real", but I can guarantee, if people actually listened and all started to dress and present "normal", Karens would be the first people to try and stand out to be special
@@wolvie1618 I agree. It's none of her business what people do with their appearance. Let them be since it doesn't actively affect her. Besides, there's only so many effects you can do with makeup and everyone picks the same face. Personally I think it makes them looks like clones (not necessarily a bad thing or ugly,) so people are more likely to get tired of seeing the same thing, and in turn it tends to make people who look different (like myself) more attractive. I actually sometimes wished MORE people wore makeup because then everyone would be on the same playing field and you would actually need some damn depth for people to be interested...
Best part about buying those extra dresses besides pissing off the Karen. You can donate them to the Cinderella charity which helps provide prom/homecoming dresses to girls who can't afford them in the store.
As someone who has been homeless, I can tell you now that donating to Goodwill or Salvation Army does not mean the homeless get the items you donated. All of those donations other than food go into the stores run by those "organizations" and are sold. I was personally banned from the Salvation Army in the town I was homeless in because a woman who was donating winter clothes and jackets personally handed me a jacket instead of giving it to the donation collector. It was mid winter and my jacket was extremely worn out and in obvious need of replacement, but the worker didn't care and told me that I could go into the store and buy a jacket that was already for sale there. Really? You're going to tell someone that is obviously freezing and broke to give up a jacket that was just handed directly to him, telling them to go and find money to buy something you were given for free? Also, yes, the Salvation Army has beds available, but after 3 nights they charge basically the same as a cheap hotel room for the use of the same bed. I understand that they need to pay their bills as well as the staff, but charging someone who is homeless and looking for help just as much if not more than if they were to go to a hotel is a bad joke. Especially when you are only giving them a bed, usually a bunk bed, and not a full room with a shower and a bathroom like they would get by going to a hotel.
Wow. What a bunch of crap! That woman was donating for people like you to have it. There are coat drives at my church every year. Now I wonder where that stuff goes.
@@maureenlaneski2802 churches that do little charity drives like that are generally pretty good about actually doing what they say they will. If you have questions, ask the event organizer for specifics. For example, a church that I frequented that fed people breakfast twice a week did annual charity drives for things like sleeping bags, shoes, socks, and toiletries. Everything they collected was bundled into basically a christmas gift that was given to people who showed up for breakfast on a specified date that was announced every time they fed people for about a month in advance. I'll be honest, those christmas gift bundles they handed out probably saved me from freezing to death more than a few times. If you ever find yourself doubting a charity drive, and the event organizer can't satisfy your curiosity, the best thing you can do to help is simply talk to people like they're actually people. Far too often homeless people are treated as if they don't even exist. It can be extremely depressing trying to come up with something to eat for the day, only to have everyone that passes by act like you aren't even there. I found myself looking down off of a bridge overpass more than I care to admit. The main thing that kept me going was someone simply rolling down their window as I sat there with my sign and holding a short conversation while waiting for the light to turn green. That guy that you see on the same corner with the same battered cardboard sign every day? Ask him how his day is going, what he's trying to come up with the money for, or hell, just ask him his name and introduce yourself. Maybe get to know a little bit about him and strike up a conversation whenever you have a moment to spare. Simply doing that could possibly wind up saving his life by letting him know that at some level, he still matters to somebody.
Smaller Churches are generally the best places to get help, a lot of Churches will give you food and a place to be out of the weather for a while. Unfortunately, most of the food that people donate to the homeless is either sugar or carbs, it's very hard to get anything that's actually healthy.
I stay away from SalArmy, the "thrift" store here costs as much as going to clearance in any other store. They can sell my items after they buy them from me, but they don't do they don't get them. We have coat and hat drives at several local credit unions and smaller churches and organizations that aren't businesses.
The "get rid of your daughter, I don't wanna be a stepmom!" Karen is kinda LITERALLY becoming the actual Evil Stempother from "Cinderella". What the eff. Also my mom has that "Coexist" sticker on a shelf. It's awesome just the way it is. :)
My stepmother tried that shit. She had two sons from a previous marriage, then once she'd married my father, she told him to get rid of me (he raised me on his own). Here is a "Karen" moment I would like to share. Backstory - I am a 48 yr old who looks very young for my age & I used to work in "Big box" retail. I have work in or around hardware & paint for many years & considered a "paint expert" where I work at now. Now, the story: As per store procedure, we floor associates take turns greeting customers. During this shift, the only females working was myself & the cashier, which left 2 floor associates & the. Shift manager. This entitled "Karen" comes in. I say the normal script "Good afternon, Welcome to ***. What can I help you find today? She just shrugged & said "You can't help me, honey." She proceeded to go the back of the store where another fellow associate who was busy cutting keys for another customer. This woman was throwing a fit so bad that it could hear all over the store. She was screaming " Where is the customer service in this store?" The manager (who is Hispanic) come up to the "Karen" & asked "How may I help you?" From what I could hear, She was being very derogatory saying that "All of your kind are stealing jobs from Americans & she wanted a white man to help her at the paint desk. The "white male" met the lady at the desk. The "Karen" wanted advice on paint colors for a specific room. This associate stated that he was colorblind & he will get the " paint expert" I come over to paint desk & he said " here is our "paint expert." She can help you. The Karen said " A woman? Really? I need to speak to your manager, IMMEDIATELY." The manager working that night was a African-American male & watching in the distance of everything going down. He came up the paint desk...The "Karen" was enraged! The " Karen" starting throwing a fit & saying how me & the other male was "being rude" & refusing to help her. The manager then stated that he had been watching everything that happened from a far & saw no violations of customer service & offered to review the video with her to see if there were any violations he may have overlooked. The manager then stated that I was the "paint expert" with years of experience & I would be the best to answer all her questions. The " Karen" just threw another hissy-fit & stomped out the door saying how "horrible" the customer service was. Thankfully, she hasn't been back since.
Ugh this brings back terrible memories I was the woman in the lawn section of a store. I have encyclopedia brain and knew an alarming amount about my section and people would refuse to let me help them and get offended when male coworkers from other departments would bring me in. Like please ma'am/sir I fixed a guys chainsaw for him earlier I'm pretty sure I can help you. And the offense when I would lift stuff, just downstocking mallets and some old guy told me I shouldn't be doing it one of the men should. I proceeded to have a photoshoot with the mallets it was fun.
the step daughter one reminded me of a story where the wife was also pregnant recently with stepdaughter and early on in the relationship she chose to work instead of being a stay at home mom (they honestly didn't have the financial leeway, etc) however with the new kiddo she thought about it again and they did have the leeway now so she decided she wanted to take care of both kids as a stay at home mom, husband didn't like that considering it as favoritism and unfair to step daughter who the wife loves, it got to the point that EVERYBODY, a therapist, his brother/family, and of course his daughter, because she couldn't understand why he was tearing the family apart, was telling him he was in the wrong but he wouldn't compromise... the last update I heard was she was pretty much at the stage where she was going through with divorce I believe
That really sucks! I hope the former stepmother can still have a relationship with the stepdaughter that she loves and cares for! Because it’s absurd that this man tore apart a happy family just because his now ex-wife had more financial stability to dedicate herself to her children full time. That’s not how all families have to be, because some would prefer for both of the parents to work to provide for the family. That’s just as valid. But if one partner genuinely wants to be a stay at home parent, they should be allowed to if they financially can. And it’s not favoritism, which the stepdaughter herself was aware of. The stepmother was just able to do something now she couldn’t before, and likely felt like raising a baby and and older child at the same time was enough of a responsibility in and of itself that she wanted to dedicate herself to that. The fact that this man refused to consider anyone else’s perspective no matter who told him he was wrong, not even from a therapist, his family and the daughter he was claiming to be defending; it’s ridiculous. What a sad situation.

I think I have an example of the rare, elusive male Karen. The dude who wrote the Malleus Maleficarum (The Hammer of Witches, AKA the book that started the original Witch Hunts). Literally written because a woman told him to go away, that he was a horrible monk, and to leave her alone. Wild story, but true.
No no, he was just straight up an evil Incel. He wanted one woman in particular who did not want him back (sister dodged a cannon ball) so he wrote that trying to get her killed. He put all the "attributes" of this woman who dared to have an opinion about him that wasn't "oh yes, my lord and master, of course!" so he condemned countless women to death.
I Am Not A Lawyer but I am an American and the landlord threatening to raise rent *might* fall under voter intimidation, which Is Illegal. As far as I can see it is mainly illegal around polling places but each state usually has its own rules, too
"Section 241 of the Hatch Act "makes it a ten-year felony to 'conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate' any person in the free exercise of any right or privilege secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States - including the right to vote."" I am inclined to say this is 100% voter intimidation as they are threatening people in most likely a position of low income with price rises if they don't vote for what they're saying. This is def illegal
Well let's look at it reasonably for a moment. Landlord stated that rent was gonna double if the candidate he wanted to win lost making a clear threat in attempt to intimidate voters so I'm gonna go with yes it is illegal and with it being in a letter sent to tenants it would be a case easily won. I'm pretty sure that is a federal law so a state would have to follow it too but can make the laws stricter.
Yeah, uh, for the homeless man stealing from the "donation" bin at a Goodwill, I think it needs to be said. The donation bin at Goodwill isn't to donate it *to* the poor/homeless, it's donating it to *Goodwill* to sell. They don't even wash the stuff you give them because it'd be too "costly." After they sell it, the proceeds are given to charity, minus paying workers, upkeep, and whatever skimming likely happens (as you'll find in a lot of US-based charities). Goodwill is basically a store that's entire schtick is they take charitable donations from people who want to help the poor/homeless, put them on sale for low prices, (likely) poor people buy them, and then the profit is donated to charities. Basically this was clothes someone donated to Goodwill that the store wanted to sell, but a homeless man took them because he desperately needed them to survive. Because Goodwill was planning to *sell* the clothes, they had the homeless guy arrested for theft and the clothes taken back rather than just let him keep the clothes.
They act the part of the charity, but in reality they are a retail chain that relies on "donations" rather than getting things from a distributor. There are plenty of other competing stores that never try to claim any sort of charity status. Savers comes to mind.
Goodwill is a not-for-profit. This means they're allowed to generate a profit. Additionally many stores take advantage of the ability to pay disabled people less than minimum wage, while yes the US Govt is shifty for allowing the practice, it still a litmus test, and goodwill failed
The median income of a Goodwill executive is $290,000 annually with the top making $652,000 annually. It takes in $4.8 BILLION annually and less than 1/8th of the profit goes to charity work. Don't donate to Goodwill. Shop at other thrift stores.

@ViniSocramSaint you might be surprised how well some evil people can hide there evil, his taste probably isnt the cause of this scenario happening, and he'll probably learn a lesson and have slightly different standards
5:05 the voting one is definitely illegal. Threatening to double your tenants rent if your preferred candidate doesn't win is not allowed. A boss is allowed to say he wants this candidate to win, but not to threaten to fire employees if the other candidate wins. A union can suggest their preferred candidate, but again they can't force anyone to vote for them. Anytime a threat is attached to not getting their candidate it becomes an illegal act. And writing it down....well, that's stupid.

33:31 "customer is always right in terms of Taste" reminded me of another phrase most people don't know the last half of. "blood is thicker than water" is actually "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb", which means the opposite of the misremembered phrase. Chosen family bonds will always be stronger than the family you were born into. Blood family can suck, and if that's the case for whoever reads this, hold on. If they won't accept you, there's absolutely people out there who would LOVE to have you around.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Having a shitty family can make you paranoid and think that the people who do like you are "faking it", and it's very painful and difficult to come to terms with. Sometimes life is so hard no amount of professional help will work, so it can feel like we're better off dead for some of us. Sure, a couple of people can disagree, but none of those people are considering our suffering. They typically want us alive so THEY don't suffer, so we continue to beat our great burdens. It fucking sucks, but life sucks. It's whatever, I guess...

When you finish choosing one, could we take the rest you don't choose to try on?" and everything would have gone sooooo much better. Hell, they could even have become friends through that. JFC!
6:17 This actually happened to me, I was in kindergarten but an older guy came up and started yelling at my mom and I about Girl Scouts supporting abortion (to clarify we support but don't fund planned parenthood but the support goes to the education side of planned parenthood) after the yelling my mom told him something along the lines of " thank you I will now have to talk to my daughter later about what some of the things you just said mean." It shut him up REAl quick

@@jacthing1 Honestly, in my opinion the question "Do you ever want to have children and if so, should it be biological or is adoption okay too?" should come far in the beginning of dating. I mean sure, the opinion can change but thats not an assumption you should build your relationship on. Also, If you dont know them for that long it's easier to stop it now and find another partner who shares your belief on children then when you are already together for like 5 years. Because the thing is: Yes the father can have an opinion on whether or not he wants biological children but he cant expect his partner to carry a child for 9 months.
As someone who is adopted… that “mother” that asked her fiance to get rid of his daughter, is not fit to be a mother. Step or not. Also. As a trans woman with autism the amount of hate and bs i have to deal with is monumental. Please… you do you. Ill do me. Leave me alone!

People just don't understand what it's like to be suicidal. They think it's the easy way out, but it's not! Finding the courage to actually do it is definitely not easy! Plus it could happen to anyone! Until 2018, I never thought I would be in that situation! My ex husband told me once to just forget about my depression, and everything will be fine!
My stepdad once went on a long rant to me about how commiting suicide is beinb stupid and if they thought about it they'd realize just how dumb they are. He would not listen at all when I was trying to explain to him the kind of emotional and mental places those people are in. This was on the way to school. He regularly goes on those kinds of rants, although most of them are anti lgbtqia+ and calling me warped because I'm not homophobic or transphobic.
Even as someone who has been suicidal for months before I see it as the easy way out. And I only started to see it that way for me ever since I experienced it. the dog with surgery story reminds me of this story I heard about a woman and her child jumping the fence into someones backyard because they wanted to pet the dog. Even though the owner said no, the child still ran up to the dog, which was turned away from them as it was on its way to walk back into the house(the owner had told it to). The child basically ran up to it and started to violently pet the dog, which got scared and turned around and bit the child. The mother called the police about an agressive dog that "attacked" her child unprovoked. Even after seeing the security camera that the owner had, the judge still ordered for the dog to be put down. The mother and child did not get in any trouble even though the owner countered with trespassing. It's messed up. As a dog owner(St. Bernard, sweetest dog you'll ever meet, but protective). If I tell you that you can't pet him, you can't pet him. You don't know what the dog is capable of, you don't know what it's gone through(sister has a puppy saved from abused home) or it could be a service dog. Rule of thumb when it comes to animals in general, ask the owner is okay with you petting and if the owner says no, then it's a no and you can't pet it.
You get my dog put down. I sue you into oblivion. I even sue the judge. I then put the video up on every social media site I know. You won’t escape retribution.😈

"The customer is always right in terms of taste." - Honestly, even this isn't true. As a software developer, end user suggestions rarely ever fix the actual problem they're having. That's why "This part of the product doesn't work for me because of these reasons" is always better than "I think you should implement these modifications". It's more accurate here to say that the customer has no idea what they want until they have it, but they know when what they have isn't it.
As a fellow software developer, I refer to the end user suggestions as, "The user's 'WannaPony' List." It's important to whittle the WannaPony List down to what the customer actually _needs_ … but as a fellow software developer, you already know this. 😁
@@want-diversecontent3887 The saying isn't referring to tasting things with your tongue. It's referring to another definition of taste... In this case, knowing what kinds of things you want. For software, that corresponds to how the software is designed to function. This could be something as simple as whether to put a health bar at the top of the screen or in the bottom right corner, or it could be something more complex like whether or not to add an entirely new system to one specific player class to try to give them more versatility. Which changes are things that the end-user is going to enjoy? What will be _to their taste?_
I have a younger sister (let's call her M) and an even younger half-sister (C). While I certainly love them both, C is just the cutest little madlass and every opportunity I get to see her it makes my f@cking week. I have bi-polar disorder and I have had suicidal depressive episodes. About ten years ago, things were bad. When I reached out for help, someone I had thought was a friend started in on me about how I just needed to "grow up" and how no one likes a whiner. About two weeks later, I went to a crisis clinic for help. The guy lectured me on the fact that I could not be suicidal because my life wasn't bad enough. Seriously. Then he goes on to tell me about how he deals with homeless, pregnant teens. He said that he could send me to one of the ONLY mental hospitals in our state, but that he did not think it would help me to be around people with "real mental illnesses". Two days later, I tried to take my own life. I'm very lucky to be alive, although it has taken me a long time to feel lucky about it. Words can kill.

I love the small speech you gave to people suffering depression. I've personally gone through some similar things and having someone say what you did helps so much it's amazing.
I've had one Karen experience and it was glorious. I used to work as a cutter in the back of sports bar/pizza place. And this woman was having an issue and asked for a manager, but we only had one that day and he was busy in the back making the pizza. She hears this and barges through the door to the kitchen, pushing a poor waitresses on her ass and yells for a manager. She proceeded to get practically surrounded by our cooks (manager included) and they started yelling at her and forcing her out of the kitchen we had a camera that caught everything so they held this lady while I called the police because she assaulted the waitress. She was balling her eyes out at the end. Amazing

I'm with you Click (even though this'll prolly get buried). If anyone has any self-harming thoughts, it's ok to get help. You are not alone, and there are people that love you that don't want to see you hurt yourself. There is no shame in seeking help (from people who want you to not harm yourself). You can do it!
This comment is not buried! I'm here in agreement, I work in mental health care and we are here to help! Those damaging comments are so toxic, hurtful and evil. I truly hope the OPs got the help they needed.
I don't know if the person had self-harm or suicidal thoughts, but either way an answer like that can definitely tip a person off the edge. I have severe mental illness since decades, and when you're in that vulnerble state and ask for help - how you are treated is EVERYTHING. If the psychiatric care brushes me off during these times (because they're shitty or don't have recources), I self-harm. I tried, but I didn't get help. Fine, I'll deal with it on my own, the only way I know how. It has come to the point of me not seeking emergency psychiatric help, because I'm so scared of being met with predudice and negativity that causes me to self-harm. It's a little bit better now that I'm older, but as a young girl they never took me seriously and just sighed at me for being "difficult"... And obviously I needed the help since I have bipolar disorder, ADHD, anorexia etc. and I've been hospitalised and sectioned more times I can count. But that first contact when you reach out, how you are met is SO important. The reason I even started self-harming is because I didn't get enough help. I came to them and cried - the psychiatry didn't care. I came with bleeding arms - and all of a sudden they wanted to help me. This is many years ago now, I do think the pschyiatry is a bit better at handling us today, but yeah... I honstly don't seek help when I need it in fear of the psychiatrist treating me badly and just making everything worse :-(

Explanation here for 9:20. Goodwill is a nonprofit organization that conveniently takes donations then resells them. They were originally designed to provide jobs for people in low income areas while providing tax writeoffs to people that donate to them giving a benefit to both low and high income households. In reality, they’re business practices suck as demonstrated by the arresting of a man trying to get clothes to survive the cold. Anywho the donations are considered property of the store once donated so he was technically stealing store merchandise ergo he can be charged for robbery.
27:00 This one personally horrifies me. My parents divorced when I was nine years old and, as a social awkward kid who had undiagnosed autism, I wasn't really good at bonding with people and had grown up on stories and fairy tales instead. I was TERRIFIED that a stereotypical evil stepmother was going to come into the picture, to the point where, when my dad started dating again, he specifically told me about her and what she was like as a person because I was THAT SCARED. I got very lucky and my stepmother is one of the most wonderful people in the world and I basically consider her to be my real mother at this point. And even my overactive child mind couldn't come up with something THIS HORRIBLE. I hope to any deity that may exist that that girl's father saw through this and kept his child safe from this horrible horrible person.
Becoming a military spouse for the benefits of the serving spouse is definitely gold digging behavior. Don’t use someone for the military sposee status, that’s horrible for people who already got a lot to do

LOL No, the message of most religious beliefs (especially the abrahamic ones) is: obey or suffer. Have you ever read the Bible? Even Mein Kampf is not as hateful as the Bible. Granted there are some nice parts... but hey, even the Nazis had few nice things to them (i.e. they were very pro animal rights).

18:25 Fun Fact: that phrase the customer is always right pertains to a very specific thing from a specific store. A clothing store. The phrase was meant essentially if the person wants to wear a green plaid shirt and orange and purple striped pants let them it's on the employee to help make them look their best to the best of that employees ability without criticisms of their style essentially
That whole thing about holding tenants hostage over political beliefs is NOT legal in the U.S., but we also attacked our own capitol building over the same election, so I can't say I'm surprised.

27:00 I REALLY hope the girl's father found out about this. It's just absolutely horrible. I think nobody wants that wedding to happen. Wish the two of them the best so they can continue.
Just so you know, Goodwill is a multimillion dollar "charity" corporation who take donations and sell them for a profit. Only about 1/8 of the money actually goes to the work they do which is mainly job training for disabled people and not great there either. Their CEO makes over 700,000. It is mainly a tax shelter. Honestly none of the charities that accept donated items are that great these days because they are generally more focused on reselling things for a profit.

Same here. I first showed signs of depression _at age 7._ I'm lucky in that, once I got into treatment (at 23), we found something that worked and kept my mood disorder in remission. So, I started helping others online with a mood disorder. Whenever we'd get one of those assfaces coming into an online support group, I would Tear. Them. Apart. Without mercy. I would not just flame them, but tried to do so as poetically and creatively as possible. Then I and others providing support would start doing damage control with the people in the middle of a depressive episode. The thing about non dairy milk substitutes is that minorities decended from places that didn't traditionally drink cows milk (like Africa) have a higher chance of being lactose intolerant because their ancestors never built up a tolerance like most Europeans did. So upcharging for lactose free milk can kinda be construed as being racist, when really it's just a series of unfortunate coincidences. Soy milk shouldn't be more expensive than regular milk, though, because that's kind of unfair for everyone who can't have lactose for whatever reason, imo. Not racist, but still dumb.
I don't think there is any racism behind upcharging for non-regular milk. If it was racism, the offenders would actually have to know that people without European ancestry are more likely to be lactose intolerant. Moreover, even if more people of Non-European ancestry are lactose intolerant, there are still those that are not while the higher price also targets people with European ancestry that are. It is simply another "reason" they use to justify asking for more money for the same product. It is non-regular that means it is special, you have to pay more for special. It's simple greed. Or, there could be a less cynical reason: the non-regular milk is actually more expensive to buy for the shop, and they simply pass on that price difference.
@@ValirAmaril I never said intent was the sole reason of anything being racist or not. I'm well aware that things/actions can be racist without them being intentionally so. Just that in this specific situation intend would make it racist, otherwise it would be just business 101. Or would you say that following basic business practice is racist because in the specific situation of lactose intolerance, more people with non-European ancestry are affected?

Since she's asking for advice, my advice to her would be to try REALLY hard to imagine how she would feel if her fiance said something like that to her. I know it's hard for her to imagine that other people have their own thoughts, dreams, wants, and wishes, but just TRY and consider someone else for a second.
And if she manages it, good, keep doing it. Everyone she meets, she should try to imagine that they have their own lives and aren't just props in hers.

But chances are, if I told an anti-asexual person that my mum is Ace, they’d give me an earful about how she can’t be ace or else I wouldn’t exist, or stupidity like that.
@@Annie_Annie__ that's a cute story, i like it!
But it happens all the time.”
It was entirely logical to us. Why wouldn’t a girl fall in love with a girl?

All of it has been positive, including from people of my age or older, with no tattoos, who talk about how they wish they'd had the courage to get tatted themselves. I also get teens and young adults stopping me, telling me they hope they can be like me when they get older. So, no negative attention. Oh, by the way, I used to be a teacher.
Oh, by the way, I and my partner (also female) had 2 children together (she was the one who got pregnant - I already had 2 who were young adults) through insemination by donor. Fun fact: I was told by an interviewer at a restaurant that a lot of restaurants and stores here in Australia, do NOT use "the customer is always right" and have every reason to deny a person service if they're being rude.
I'm not sure about other countries, but I absolutely love this.
Haha I have never actually seen a Karen in a resturant here, idk if it's because australians are chill or Karens are just rare. Love this tho! ^w^
God I miss Australia so much

The salvation army is fucking vile and they have ads and shops all over my town i hate it get me out of hereeee

No quotes needed; that's a Karen to a tee
Ugh this brings back terrible memories I was the woman in the lawn section of a store. I have encyclopedia brain and knew an alarming amount about my section and people would refuse to let me help them and get offended when male coworkers from other departments would bring me in. Like please ma'am/sir I fixed a guys chainsaw for him earlier I'm pretty sure I can help you. And the offense when I would lift stuff, just downstocking mallets and some old guy told me I shouldn't be doing it one of the men should. I proceeded to have a photoshoot with the mallets it was fun.
the step daughter one reminded me of a story where the wife was also pregnant recently with stepdaughter and early on in the relationship she chose to work instead of being a stay at home mom (they honestly didn't have the financial leeway, etc) however with the new kiddo she thought about it again and they did have the leeway now so she decided she wanted to take care of both kids as a stay at home mom, husband didn't like that considering it as favoritism and unfair to step daughter who the wife loves, it got to the point that EVERYBODY, a therapist, his brother/family, and of course his daughter, because she couldn't understand why he was tearing the family apart, was telling him he was in the wrong but he wouldn't compromise... the last update I heard was she was pretty much at the stage where she was going through with divorce I believe
yes I believe she got a divorce

I Am Not A Lawyer but I am an American and the landlord threatening to raise rent *might* fall under voter intimidation, which Is Illegal. As far as I can see it is mainly illegal around polling places but each state usually has its own rules, too
Not a lawyer either (maybe this is a question for Legal Eagle), but I'm pretty sure you're correct.
"Section 241 of the Hatch Act "makes it a ten-year felony to 'conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate' any person in the free exercise of any right or privilege secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States - including the right to vote.""
I am inclined to say this is 100% voter intimidation as they are threatening people in most likely a position of low income with price rises if they don't vote for what they're saying.

It's whatever, I guess...

the dog with surgery story reminds me of this story I heard about a woman and her child jumping the fence into someones backyard because they wanted to pet the dog.

27:00 I REALLY hope the girl's father found out about this. It's just absolutely horrible. I think nobody wants that wedding to happen. Wish the two of them the best so they can continue.
wouldn't surprise me if he tried wrapping it up and she poked holes in his baby trapper
@@Crystal_Dylan it's the same Karen In the post before
Just so you know, Goodwill is a multimillion dollar "charity" corporation who take donations and sell them for a profit.
Salvation ar y too, but with more proselytizing for the Jesus myth in the process.
White Dove supports hospice. Check them out.
@@bloodink9508 Salvation Army do actual good work in my area and don't try forcing the Jesus thing down everyone's throat, but that's just a small branch in Canada.
Source: Mom and I were reliant on Salvation Army shelters for a good portion of my life growing up.
I worked at a habitat for humanity restore, and we generally took in everything. Anything sellable was sold dirt cheap and anything not sellable was either re-donated if possible, or broken down for recycling. If you couldn't come to us, we brought a truck to you so we could take it back with us. My store didn't, but other stores actually sent people out with tools to build shelters I think. We've had tools stolen from those vehicles.
Also, we re-donated clothes and shoes.
And I MEAN dirt cheap. My dad used to come in to buy shitloads of wood. We had an old man come in every day to buy cabinets. Every. Day. I dunno why but that's what he did.
This. You can find my comment for the real details, but long story short I worked there before. They pay low, toss stuff out if they can't sell, have no outdoor dump so you can't dive, just very wasteful if they don't see money in it, even if it works/is decent. Wasteful policies, insulting pay, and even known to pay below min. wage in some places because loopholes. They can burn in hell. I got a better job and got tf outta there.
I love that little laugh Click does before sentences when reading things in his Karen voice. I crack up every time.

I have personally struggled with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. There aren’t enough words in any language to express the amount of cold hard rage these fucking assholes make me feel.
Alright, time to go watch some OneTopic r/sapphoandherfriend to feel better.
I have honestly never related to someone more! I do the same
People urging someone to harm themselves should be charged with attempted murder.
@@John_Weiss in the UK, USA and Australia it's a criminal offence to tell someone to kys online, people have been taken to court before for this. You get charged with manslaughter if they actually do it
@@WolfgangDoW I'd heard of someone being charged for homicide for encouraging someone to kill themselves, but I wasn't sure whether it was a US federal law, only in certain states, or only in certain towns/cities.
Was looking for this comment. Going through depression and anxiety from my f*cked up early childhood and the aftermath of a divorce, on top of my biological father being a homophobe.
Karen, if I ever meet you in person, I’ll probably use much stronger words than what I’m gonna say here. Please just reconsider what you’re doing with your life, and stop putting others down for suffering.
@@mini-mei yeah, that's pretty much literally what I said, good job reading
@@mini-mei that's a very dated concept of racism. intent is irrelevant
@@mini-mei do you think the question 'was it intentional' or 'is it common business practice' is relevant to the people affected by it?
I absolutely love the 'thank a straight person for your existence' as an ace/aro, previously believed I was bisexual, birthmother! My daughter exists because of two very not straight people. Her bio-dad is pan as hell.
So “Homeless Man Steals Clothes From Donation Bin” took place literally a 2-3 minute walk from my house. My city will really arrest you for stealing $15 worth of clothes to stay warm, but they won’t give people in need actual shelter. Yup.
Fun animal fact: Groundhogs are also sometimes called “Whistle Pigs” (Lol, I did this one last Click video… but I’m not erasing it, instead you guy get 2 today!!)

Click does a perfect Karen impression. Literally when i imagine a Karen talk, this is how she sounds like in my head hahaha.
Once, when my little brother didn’t speak an ounce of English, a Karen came up to him and said: “this is America, speak English!” We were clearly in Canada and getting off the plane that came from Russia.😂
Karen so entitled she doesn't believe Canada exists..
i mean, the karen was Kind Of Right. canada is in the america continent
she still seems to have failed geography class though!

24:34 Best part is I recognize him, he's a comedian and that looks to be his Dry Bar special. His Tattoos and the preconceptions he faces over them are a big part of his act. If I remember correctly the title of which as I recall was "Why you shouldn't get a neck tattoo"
that suicide note one hurts so much. you're part of the reason they want to hurt themselves. I hope that person is ok because that hits too close to home
My grandmother was raised by her grandparents bc her fathers second wife didn't want her around. Thy lived in a very small town, but afterwards her father wouldn't even look at her when they met in the street. She's 92 yo and still cries when thinking about it
That is absolutely abhorrent behavior. Anyone that could do that to their own kin, was never a parent in the first place. Your grandmother thankfully wasn't raised by that abomination. She probably would have become just like him, if he had been apart of her life. Good riddance, I say. Tell her I said Hi and that her grandparents were incredible people that I would have love to have met. :)
I never understood why some people wouldn't want to be a stepparent, especially to a small child. Like, that's an instant family starter pack. You get to start with a little kid who probably already has a personality in the works, and that's like the most fun time to bond with a kid. Take them to the park, go to the movies, bake cookies with them, go to thier school play, build a fort with them, bring out your old games ((board and video)) and share, pick them up from school and take them out for ice cream after they had a bad day.
