Propagandhi "How to Clean Everything" has got to be the most influential album on Fat Wreck. The songwriting, the mixing, the art direction of the album...all iconic.

Strung out is the unsung hero of fat wreck chords in my opinion. American Paradox, Exile in Oblivion, and Suburban Teenage Wasteland are such amazing albums front to back. Wish they got the recognition they deserve.
To this day, everything they put out is excellent. Agents.. was probably the only one I don't go back and listen to, but even still had some good songs
Picking up Surivival of the Fattest comp on a whim, little did I know how my life was about to changed forever thanks to hearing SO for the first time. These dudes and Prop I can thank many times over for saving my life. Exile in Oblivion for me, despite something with that production grinding my gears. That record is Jason's best songwriting (which is saying a LOT), not a single mediocre track and my favourite song of all time (never speak again). Now we got Arpril fast approaching 🤘🤘(if anyone's seeing this 3 years later). Strung out, fuck yeah!

What fat wreck chords did back in the 90s(and much into the early 2000s) was insane for an independent label. They had so much talent and it mostly went unnoticed. I always felt very fortunate to stumble on the "fat music for fat people" comp by chance as a kid, the guy who sold it to me ripped me off but it was worth it! And having that music as the soundtrack to your skating and snowboarding sessions, it was perfect!
Yes!!! Hi-Standard are amazing!! I’ve loved them since finding that record in a small record store back then. I’d love to see them play one day but I highly doubt that will happen now ☹️
not to flex but I was fortunate enough to see Fat 25 year anniversary show in Tokyo and Hi-Standard were not only the most supported but the better sounding band that day. They are tight live.
So glad to see Fat Mike consider "So long and thanks for all the shoes" their best album... I heartily agree, there's not a single weak song in that album. A true classic.
Oh yeah and I'd love to put Potemkin City limits but unfortunately, except for me thinking it's not known enough, it kinda symbolises tensions between the band and Mike.
@Dan Evertt 100 percent agreed. After the bass player left, they kind of strayed way too far into hardcore and kind of lost the sound that I liked. To each their own, though.
@Dan Evertt That's a super weird response, a tad childish. Of course I like those records they're probably my favorite band if I have one, but as musicians they've improved dramatically over the years in their output.
I don't care how it's done, Tony's demos and other unreleased tracks NEED to be released. Having Yotam sing those demos and having Rory, Dave, and Matt record the music would be incredibly amazing
My Top 10: 1) Strung Out - Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues (1996) 2) Bracket - E Is For Everything (1996) 3) Snuff - Tweet Tweet My Lovely (1998) 4) Good Riddance - Operation Phoenix (1999) 5) Screeching Weasel - Bark Like A Dog (1996) 6) Me First - Have A Ball (1997) 7) Lagwagon - Let's Talk About Feelings (1998) 8) Riverdales - Storm The Streets (1997) 9) No Use For A Name - More Betterness (1999) 10) Face To Face - Don't Turn Away (1992)
I wish he would have mentioned the Riverdales or SW, but he and Ben don't like each other, so there'd be no way. Definitely two of the bands he meant when he mentioned dropping bands.
Glad to see Five Lessons Learned by Swingin Utters in there, I thought that was a real masterwork, the way the whole album hung together in a cohesive way was a rare and great thing.
Mike is a legend in punk rock. He won’t want to hear that but he is. This video is a really great insight into some of the things he’s done for the scene and the records he’s put out. Cheers Fatty/AP
The bad thing was that if it kicked ass, it only did so for 30 seconds... (It takes me longer to type out Hearts Frozen Solid, Thawed Once More by the Spring of Rage, Despair, and Hopelessness than the song lasts, and I want more every time).
I'm really not sure if every album here is on the list but he discusses these. Great list isn't it? I agree with Mike's 'So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes' is the best NOFX album =) maybe the best on Fat. 00:50 Bad Cop/Bad Cop - Warriors 02:09 Dillinger Four 02:53 Against Me - As The Eternal Cowboy 03:44 Good Riddance - A Comprehensive Guide To Modern Rebellion 05:14 Lagwagon - Let's Talk About Feelings (Hoss) 04:22 Face to Face - Don't turn away 05:58 No Use For A Name - Feel Good Record Of The Year (Leche Con Carne) 08:11 Hi-Standart - Growing Up 10:00 Strung Out - Twisted By Design 10:30 Me First And The Gimme Gimmes - Love Their Country 12:05 Propaghandi - How To Clean Everything 13:30 Snuff - Demmamussabebkonk 14:35 Me First And The Gimme Gimmes - Have A Ball 14:53 Survival Of The Fattest 15:37 Short Music For Short People 16:49 Rock Against Bush Vol. I & II 18:07 The Songs of Tony Sly: A Tribute 19:17 Anti-Flag - Terror State 19:30 Swingin' Utters - Five Lessons Learned 19:53 NOFX - The War On Errorism 21:17 NOFX - So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes 22:35 Mad Caddies - Duck and Cover 24:17 Cokie The Clown - Self Titled 26:25 Frenzal Rhomb - We Lived Like Kings 27:22 Get Dead - Dancing With The Curse 28:16 The Real McKenzies - Oot & Aboot 30:16 Sick Of It All - Call To Amrs 31:10 Tilt - 'Til It Kills 31:50 Descendents - Cool To Be You 32:34 Less Than Jake - Borders & Bounderies 33:27 Rise Against - The Unraveling 34:57 Closet Fiends - Self Titled
So many memories just hearing about these. Lagwagon - Hoss and No Use for a Name - Leche con Carne. Listened to them so many times when i was a teenager. What an awesome time for music and to be a punk kid.
Fat was a huge part of my upbringing. Seen most of these bands from '92 to up to now. Moved to S.F. for my 20s largely because of my love for Fat and Bay Area bands. So many fun times... Thank you Mike!!!
LOL OMG !!!!! When Mike is talking about Face to Face. That's me, 4:31, in the front with my hat on backwards wearing a T-top. (that was at Spankey's Cafe, and it got hot as f*ck in that place).
This was so rad! You AP guys must doing thing like this with punk rock more often. Also there is a lot of good new punk bands out there. By the way, thanks!
During a crazy random series of events I managed to see Hi Standard open for Green Day in Japan in 1995 at the Harumi Futo Center. They CRUSHED it. (almost literally...the crowd was in these weird farm like holding pens on the open floor and alot of us banded together to try and prevent the crowd from crushing people against the rail system). Awesome list from an amazing label. LOTs of new albums for me to purchase!!!!
ThreeToesofFury man that must of been awesome!!!! I saw Green Day for the first time in 95 back when they were in there prime!!! I miss old Green Day. And angry fist and the road were great records by Hi Standard. Love them both!!!
I was actually stoked to see him put Feel Good Record of the Year as the NUFAN record...that record is so fucking good and he’s right; Tony Sly was an incredible songwriter. Also it was nice to hear him confirm that Bad Cop Bad Cop really is as dope as I thought they were
Cokie You’re Welcome is one of the most emotionally heavy albums Ive ever listened to - it’s absolutely brilliant. Watching you perform it as Cokie is really hard and the audience doesn’t know what to feel so it just makes the experience not only genius but wicked sad. Thanks for ripping yourself open and bearing it all for us!
watching Mike talk about Tony Sly breaks my heart. Two of punk rock’s best songwriters and best friends, I can see the love and the pain attached to it.
that was nice of him to shout out Less Than Jake. I bought their See The Light album from Fat Wreck and always saw that LP as having the essence of the Fat Wreck sound throughout it.
Trashed, not Thrashed, is a classic album. I Think My Older Brother Used To Listen To Lagwagon is pretty awful, but I wonder how much Jesse leaving after was already affecting it.
SonicDefiance Sorry, that was my auto correct typing,I know it's Trashed, and it was of course a joke. It, Hoss and Double Plaidinum are my favorites from these guys.
Twisted By Design is, in many ways, a more impressive album (definitely more popular, too) but Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues is the one closest to my heart. I remember listening to that on a hand-me-down pirated cassette tape when I was 14 and being obsessed with the song "Solitaire". Great video, listening to Closet Fiends right now... visceral
Grabbed it at Wal-Mart for $8 when I was in middle school. Saw it had NOFX, Rancid, Green Day, thought, "this looks cool, don't know these other bands but whatever, I like short songs." Put me onto so many good bands: Aerobitch, Poison Idea,AFI, Adrenalin O.D., list goes on. I'd replay the ones I really liked over and over and just obsess over that CD. Come to think of it, there were a lot of classic hardcore bands on there that, as far as I know, never put anything out on Fat.
Seriously. They had been in a sappy slump for a while and that record was a rebirth for them. It was their Process of Belief or whatever. Too bad it was the last one.
Survival of the fatest and physical fatness opened the door to so many other bands for me! Being in Australia it was hard back then to get hold of great punk records! We had some great bands here like the hard-ons,frenzal rhomb, body jar, the meanies, root beer and others but before the internet it was hard to track down great albums
Great video Mike! So glad you signed my all time favorite band, The Suicide Machines, to your label. Hopefully when tours get back going, there will be a Nofx/ The Suicide Machines tour.. maybe bring Lagwagon with y'all too up to the Motor City.
Thanks AP for no censorship and Fat Mike for his honesty and well thought out picks and the reasons why . I was surprised that some picks were my Favs too like HI-STANDARD / FRENZAL RHOMB / D4. Also the great comps ! (they were a great way to listen a lot of good bnads) I agree with Mike Mad Caddies are way underated especially as of late !
Mad Caddies are one of the most consistent bands still going and Dillinger Four is a lot of fun. Of course Mike didn't mention it since it wasn't released by FAT, but Midwestern Songs of the Americas is, in my opinion, one of the best records of the late-90's in general.
Man this brought back memories. This is basically all my teens right here. Straight classics. That time was something in that world you just had to be around for. Can't explain the feel.
Lagwagon - Let's Talk About Feelings and Hoss or Blaze, can't decide NOFX - So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes Rise Against - The Unraveling Propagandhi - Less Talk More Rock Perfect albums front to back.
Tony Sly was one of the best songwriters to ever bless this earth. Toast to Tony Sly!!! I was really late to the party, but the first song I heard from No Use For A Name was "Night of the Living Living". I was listening to a Fat Wreck pandora playlist back in 2012. Yeah, I know, I had NUFAN right in my face for 15 years by that point, but it WAS "The Feel Good Record of the Year" that made me a No Use For A Name AND a Tony Sly fan.
They also hadn't released a particularly good record in a while. It was a huge return to form for them. Moving way from the sappy emo inspired stuff they were mired in for a few albums there was a good idea. They sounded so vital and powerful on Feel Good. It's too bad we didn't get to see how they would evolve from there.
I’ve never seen them open for a band , be on $5 compilations, or have a big promotion for their records. If it wasn’t for this video, I would have never heard of them. I’m sure most people don’t go out of their way to discover bands like them. They’re amazing though and I’m not even half way done to the album.
Thank goodness 'The Unraveling' made the cut. What a genuinely fantastic record from start to finish. So goddamn formative to my music taste as a 12-13 year old kid.
AP keep doing videos like this, 2000-2007 my favorite magazine I know times change and music does too but this shit right here is a fire vid, you can see how emotional he talks about tonys demo and wants to record it
We're thrilled you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching! What's your favorite Fat Wreck record? We were bummed that Night Birds 'Mutiny At Muscle Beach' was left out-but who could argue with Fat Mike? All 30 of these albums are amazing.
pretty oldschool. I think i'd need to pick 3x Top5 from the first / second and third Fat generation. Love newer albums by bands like Bad Cop Bad Cop, Dead to me, toyguitar, Masked Intruder, TBR and so on but can't compare them to the old classics because they come with another feeling of the glory 90s
Holy shit, new album incoming soon! I knew one was coming eventually but to hear Mike say that he's been working on this one for two years is crazy. The Frank Turner split album is really good but I can't fucking wait for another full Nofx album.
That's definitely one of my favorite Fat albums, if not my favorite. $Wingin' Utters A Juvenile Product of The Working Class and Five Lessons Learned are definitely in my top favorite releases by Fat.
Some of my favorite fat releases were by none more black, schevchucks vocals always blew me away. Always a huge kid dynamite fan, so these followed up kid dynamites albums quite well for me
The “California dreaming” cover by Hi Standard and “Vincent” by NOFX are songs I played so many times from Survival of the Fittest. I still do from time to time still.
I’ve spent a lot of time around street kids and learned a lot about the way most of them live and it makes me really happy to hear Mike talk about his experience with Sam, without Fat putting out those 5 songs Sam would have likely only been remembered by those who knew her and a few TH-cam videos, when punk finally dies it’ll die knowing that Fat was one of the only labels that actually gave a shit about punk as a whole, the bands they signed, and the records they put out, May Sam live forever through her songs just like the other Fat Wreck related deaths before her
The Dickies "All This and Puppet Stew" glaring omission for me. Screeching Weasel and MXPX also. I think he coulda skipped the NOFX, Me First, and Cokie entries in humility, and just mentioned in the beginning that he was doing that to make room for extra bands,...
Anyone who doesn’t know Frenzal Rhomb should check them out right now. The humour is very Australian and takes a couple listens to get into, but damn it’s good
What an intense ride being part of NOFX and FAT. So many highs but too much loss. I'm just a middle aged guy now in NZ who came up within the limited punk rock scene we had in NM. And I'm struggling with my lost brothers and sisters too. We had good times. But to be at the apex of it all. Fuck. Life of a Repo Man is always intense. I really appreciate how honest Mike is and has always been from what I've seen. And the dresses are really fun.
Excellent list, Mike! However, I am gonna go on record and say that I absolutely loved your Cokie record, and I have listened to it 8 times since release. It is a real and raw work of art and I enjoy the cry, thoroughly. I have no idea if anyone feels the same way......
I have such a distinct memory of being 13, putting a Short Songs for Short People comp in my CD player after getting it at a show, and the player said 99 tracks, and would play the last 3 as one track. Love that album!
5:50 When Derrick left in ‘96, Caper wanted to split because he didn’t want to play with another drummer. Mike convinced them to stay together and get a new drummer.
Yeah, that makes sense, especially after Derrick died and they put out Resolve. Their first 3 are my favorites, I love Lagwagon and everything they've put out, every one of there records is solid in my opinion. 2005 and onward has been a very different Lagwagon, understandably. Even Railer, which sounds a hell of a lot like their early 90's records, somehow still has a similar melancholy to Hang. They've been through a lot and I'm glad they're still working together. Cool fucking band, cool fucking people.

yeah, those and punk-o-rama
I miss Tony Sly. An No Use For A Name. I'm glad he did all that acoustic stuff before he died.
I still torture my son and his friends with that album.
Daily Grind and Leche con Carne were insanely good! Definitely where it began for me.
Yes!!! Hi-Standard are amazing!! I’ve loved them since finding that record in a small record store back then. I’d love to see them play one day but I highly doubt that will happen now ☹️

That record changed everything for NOFX. It’s when they really figured out how they wanted to sound I think.
My fav by far. Changd my life
Definitely my fav NOFX album :)
The best one, for sure.
My favorite as well
Today's empire tomorrow's ashes is to me the best album on fat. Maybe my favorite album ever. They took it to a whole new level on that one.
Oh yeah and I'd love to put Potemkin City limits but unfortunately, except for me thinking it's not known enough, it kinda symbolises tensions between the band and Mike.
Apparently fat started having an issue with them around that time. Funny enough, I think that was when propagandhi started getting really good
@Dan Evertt 100 percent agreed. After the bass player left, they kind of strayed way too far into hardcore and kind of lost the sound that I liked. To each their own, though.
@Dan Evertt You crazy bruv, they've done nothing but improve since. Supporting Caste is better than Victory Lap though, it's an unbeatable record.

1) Strung Out - Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues (1996)
2) Bracket - E Is For Everything (1996)
3) Snuff - Tweet Tweet My Lovely (1998)
4) Good Riddance - Operation Phoenix (1999)
5) Screeching Weasel - Bark Like A Dog (1996)
6) Me First - Have A Ball (1997)
7) Lagwagon - Let's Talk About Feelings (1998)
8) Riverdales - Storm The Streets (1997)
9) No Use For A Name - More Betterness (1999)
10) Face To Face - Don't Turn Away (1992)
Bracket's an interesting choice
Novelty forever from bracket is amazing
I wish he would have mentioned the Riverdales or SW, but he and Ben don't like each other, so there'd be no way. Definitely two of the bands he meant when he mentioned dropping bands.
Glad to see Five Lessons Learned by Swingin Utters in there, I thought that was a real masterwork, the way the whole album hung together in a cohesive way was a rare and great thing.
Mike is a legend in punk rock. He won’t want to hear that but he is. This video is a really great insight into some of the things he’s done for the scene and the records he’s put out. Cheers Fatty/AP
I'm pretty sure Mike loves to hear as much ego-stroking as people are willing to give him. He's not the most humble dude around...
Best thing about short music for short people is if the song sucks it only lasts 30 seconds.

“Don’t Turn Away” bridged the straightedge and punk scene. Very important record for us early 90s kids
That's how I first heard of them, via the straightedge scene.
True. My buddy brought that album over one afternoon, and we must've listened to it 30 times in a row.
I'm so glad Fat Mike picked "Let's Talk About Feelings" by Lagwagon. One of the best and best-produced punk releases of all time, imo.
I'm glad there was a commercial every 3 minutes.
Would love to hear a collaborative recording of Tony’s demos.
watching Mike talk about Tony Sly breaks my heart. Two of punk rock’s best songwriters and best friends, I can see the love and the pain attached to it.
Survival of the Fattest has a special place in my heart as "the first"
Me too!
@@IndigoDrum101 That one and FAT music for FAT people spent a lot of time in my Discman.
@@MrVisde Mine too! But originally I had to copy them to cassette first! The first 3 FAT comps are amazing.
I credit that album alone with getting me into both punk and Fat. That album means a whole fucking lot to me.
YES!!!
that was nice of him to shout out Less Than Jake. I bought their See The Light album from Fat Wreck and always saw that LP as having the essence of the Fat Wreck sound throughout it.
Lagwagon has never released a bad album
Trashed is bad by definition and by cover :D
@@borek92 How dare you!!!!!!
only other band other than the Beatles to have a classic trilogy.....
I want to hear that No Use + Yotam + Fat Mike record!!! RIP Tony Sly
Great video, listening to Closet Fiends right now... visceral
Short Music for Short People is so unique and most of the 101 songs were great.
chixdiggit did a good one
They all were pretty good but yea, unique!
I’d love to hear the nufan demos recorded. The feel good record was so good, their best, and made me very excited for what was next.
Seriously. They had been in a sappy slump for a while and that record was a rebirth for them. It was their Process of Belief or whatever. Too bad it was the last one.
Glad you recommended that Closet Fiends album ...listened to it today, heavy and powerful songs
That would be sick as hell
I love short music for short people. Cool to hear mike say everyone should listen to it at least once. Listened to it recently and was 16 again
Twisted by Design has got to be my favorite.
Dillon Mcconnell yessssssss!!! Saw them open for Face to Face back in 2011 and they blew my socks off!
Man this brought back memories. This is basically all my teens right here. Straight classics. That time was something in that world you just had to be around for. Can't explain the feel.
Tilt's Til' It Kills is one of my absolute favorite albums. I'm still in love with that band to this day.
It's an amazing record. So grateful I managed to catch them live once after they reunited to record and tour for Viewers Like You.
Lagwagon - Let's Talk About Feelings and Hoss or Blaze, can't decide
NOFX - So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes
Rise Against - The Unraveling
Propagandhi - Less Talk More Rock
Perfect albums front to back.
Hard to believe Cavalcade by The Flatliners didn’t make it on the list.
I was gonna say the same thing. Either that or Destroy to create
Your right.
Amazing band, amazing albums, but I don't think they're important
I'm 33 minutes in and I'm like "how has he not mentioned Flats yet?"
leftovervictim519 seriously!! They’re so underrated!!!
Awesome that he included Against Me! and Good Riddance. Two of my favourite groups.
Face to Face Dont Turn Away is one of the most influential punk albums of the 90s hands down.
We can't believe Hi-Standard is (still) so underrated outside of Asia. Just saying.
I’ve never seen them open for a band , be on $5 compilations, or have a big promotion for their records. If it wasn’t for this video, I would have never heard of them. I’m sure most people don’t go out of their way to discover bands like them. They’re amazing though and I’m not even half way done to the album.
Growing up and Making the Road are amazing punk records. Hi-Standard even has some really good newer stuff
Virtuoso Arts What are you talking about?
Virtuoso Arts It’s not video quality bud
Virtuoso Arts I like your style and you’re right this is the perfect video quality for fat mike
Strung Out.......Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues!!! My fave song, Radio Suicide; Jason Cruz never misses a note, period
Thank goodness 'The Unraveling' made the cut. What a genuinely fantastic record from start to finish. So goddamn formative to my music taste as a 12-13 year old kid.
I loved this walk down memory lane!! Crazy how many legendary bands were signed to one label
“Operation Phoenix” is one of the most ferocious Fat Wreck albums period, and slays “A Comprehensive Guide...”!
Oh man I love Good Riddance!
Yeah and I think Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues is better than Twisted By Design, I guess I'm alone on that.
Q: what is the fastest Fat record?
AP keep doing videos like this, 2000-2007 my favorite magazine I know times change and music does too but this shit right here is a fire vid, you can see how emotional he talks about tonys demo and wants to record it
We're thrilled you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching! What's your favorite Fat Wreck record? We were bummed that Night Birds 'Mutiny At Muscle Beach' was left out-but who could argue with Fat Mike? All 30 of these albums are amazing.
Really cool to hear Mike's favorite picks. Lawrence Arms' Oh! Calcutta! would definitely make my top thirty, in addition to a lot of these.
The comps and samplers were awesome and and helped introduce to so many bands.
My Personal Top 5 on FAT:
Twisted By Design
Leche Con Carne
Let's Talk About Feelings
The Decline
Symptoms of a Leveling Spirit
pretty oldschool.
Hell yes, the Decline. Still got my original transparent cd.
Holy shit, new album incoming soon! I knew one was coming eventually but to hear Mike say that he's been working on this one for two years is crazy. The Frank Turner split album is really good but I can't fucking wait for another full Nofx album.
Don't Turn Away is an awesome record. It's shameful that it never gets ranked in any punk or pop punk best lists.
That album is a great album front too back i just listened too that album the other day been grinding it since the early 90s
That's definitely one of my favorite Fat albums, if not my favorite. $Wingin' Utters A Juvenile Product of The Working Class and Five Lessons Learned are definitely in my top favorite releases by Fat.
Thank you for this. This is amazing.
I've always said "Feelings" is my favourite Lagwagon's album. Nowadays, it's also my favourite on Fatwreck at all! It's a fucking masterpiece!
"they feel like they have to keep backing him" lol exactly right! dude!
Some of my favorite fat releases were by none more black, schevchucks vocals always blew me away. Always a huge kid dynamite fan, so these followed up kid dynamites albums quite well for me
revolutions per minute from rise against might just be my very favorite fat wreck chords album, such a classic! every song is killer!
I've listened to eternal cowboy at least 5000 times.
what a special album and band.
The “California dreaming” cover by Hi Standard and “Vincent” by NOFX are songs I played so many times from Survival of the Fittest. I still do from time to time still.
I’ve spent a lot of time around street kids and learned a lot about the way most of them live and it makes me really happy to hear Mike talk about his experience with Sam, without Fat putting out those 5 songs Sam would have likely only been remembered by those who knew her and a few TH-cam videos, when punk finally dies it’ll die knowing that Fat was one of the only labels that actually gave a shit about punk as a whole, the bands they signed, and the records they put out, May Sam live forever through her songs just like the other Fat Wreck related deaths before her
Loved no use for a name. I saw them back up bad religion in Melbourne Australia they were brilliant. God I miss the 90s.🍻🍻👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
The Dickies "All This and Puppet Stew" glaring omission for me. Screeching Weasel and MXPX also. I think he coulda skipped the NOFX, Me First, and Cokie entries in humility, and just mentioned in the beginning that he was doing that to make room for extra bands,...
Then it wouldn’t have been the 30 most important records that HE chose for HIS list. 😂
@@paddydemps2291 true. But my comment was the part where fans react to his list, lol.
Yaasss! Punk rock is where it's at. Do more stuff like this AP
Sad to see how tore up he is over Tony.
This is such a great video! A lot of these albums are some of my favorite albums ever!
Anyone who doesn’t know Frenzal Rhomb should check them out right now. The humour is very Australian and takes a couple listens to get into, but damn it’s good
I played bass in frenzal twice.
Andy Howard For real? That’s pretty dope, met the boys once and they’re some good dudes
I saw Hi-Standard on that NOFX tour. Kind of incredible that it was a once in a lifetime show.
The Closet Fiends story is the most interesting stuff in this video.
This video is gold. Never seen him talking in a semi serious way. Good list, many albums that I have never listened to.
there is a disturbing lack of Green Star by PEARS.
Next : The 30 Most important Punk records all of time by Fat Mike
Excellent list, Mike! However, I am gonna go on record and say that I absolutely loved your Cokie record, and I have listened to it 8 times since release. It is a real and raw work of art and I enjoy the cry, thoroughly. I have no idea if anyone feels the same way......
Wonder why he was so short about the Anti Flag record 😂
Duck and Cover is a perfect album. front to back, great tracks.
The guitar tone at the beginning of Demmasabebonk is perfections. Such a good tone
Slatfats definitely best Nofx album
I have such a distinct memory of being 13, putting a Short Songs for Short People comp in my CD player after getting it at a show, and the player said 99 tracks, and would play the last 3 as one track. Love that album!
Snuff were the best band on that label and the most under appreciated band in that whole genre
I agree dude. Snuff is/was so awesome.
Yo forreal i love that band
Good on ya for talking everybody into staying together, Mike. It can be hard to work through that shit sometimes.
Guns N Wankers, anyone????
Still listen to that record all the time, it's amazing.
absolutely!
theirs was always one of my favorite songs on "Fat Music for Fat People"
@@ArnieJames666 ...right? You know they recently reformed and were about to start touring but... Covid!
So glad he mentioned the unraveling
Awesome he included Survival of the Fattest. That album got me into so many bands.
I listened to that comp over and over
2 mins in and I've already discovered a new band. Thx Mike!
EDIT: This video has taken me into a TH-cam vortex like no other.
FRENZAL RHOMB are the greatest FAT band after NOFX.
Amen
Absolutely.
We ANOREXIA ISAN recorded a song with their guitar player Lindsay in our most recent album. The song is called FIND ME. Hope you like it.
Spent many a night at frenzal concerts in the mid to late nineties . They even played for my school !
Do You Wanna Fight Me? Still kills
very cool to learn about the back stage history of some of these bands
This was a fantastic watch. Surprised The Bombpops weren’t on this.
This video is awesome! Very interesting to listen to Mike talk. Bring back memories
Survival was what got me into punk. My brother in law gave me a copy and I was hooked for life.
Picked up on whim and literally changed my live overnight ❤
Those Good Riddance and Strung Out records were my skateboarding soundtrack
Strung Out is so great to skate to. Feels so natural
Strung Out man .... !!!
Great video...I'd love to see Jello Biafra do something similar for Alternative Tentacles!
Rerelease Short Music on mp3 Mike!
