Dress shopping is supposed to be something every bride enjoys, and for me it was miserable. I couldnt find anything to fit me, people were mean, and I questioned just giving up & buying a online casual dress from Lane Bryant. I always dreamed of feeling like a princess on my wedding day. Thankfully after driving 4+ hours two different times I found my dress & bought it off the rack. My dress was tight, so the fact that i'm now swimmimg in it is still so crazy to me. I am so glad you were able to find a beautiful wedding dress. And for the A-holes that were mean to you. The hard part was becoming involved with a man that obviously saw more than your size, and that alone is worth CELEBRATION! I have always been a size 5/6 in high school thru my 20's, and after having babies I went up to a size 7/8 in my 30's. In my 40's I required a thyroidectomy which left me cancer free, but no thyroid, thus my weight spiraled out of control, and by my early 50's I was 100 pounds heavier. My husband and I split up - and the only men I would encounter where men that thought, since I am a fat girl/woman, I have low self esteem. They wanted to mistreat me, or take my kindness for weakness. Well, at 140 lbs I had a strong and solid sense of self and at 240 pounds, still a strong sense of self. Like me - like my fat ass - don't like me - kiss my fat ass.
If money from bigger women isn't green enough for a judgmental bridal shop, I say bring your business to elsewhere.

I was married October 2013 and my daughter was born October 2014. 4 days before my 1 year anniversary. my daughter was born with heart problems and now that she is stable and doing well I am focusing on myself. I really admire you for not waiting to lose weight first before getting married! Good for you! Why wait to be with the love of your life to be a different size, right? It's wonderful that you saw beyond and have had this journey with a wonderful man as your husband! Your wonderful and beautiful, before and now.

You know how I found you? One day I decided to create an extra instagram account to keep track of my weightless journey. I came up with a name, that was already taken - fat girl fed up. :-) I am following you on insta, you are my everyday motivation and I am very proud of you. ;-) This year I am getting married, and I will be wearing size 24-26. Hopefully in one year I will be able to make similar comparison - as size 14 ;-)

In 1974, my mother got a picture of herself with her three kids (I was 4) while wearing her wedding dress. She was happy to still fit into it. I love this opposite success of NOT fitting into your gown!!

I adore this video. What a wonderful way to celebrate your healthy lifestyle. It also totally reminds me of exactly the same thing I like to do with the clothes I used to fit into. When I go to the plus-size section & look at the size I wore even just a year ago, I'm amazed at how big those clothes are compared to what I wear now. I'm wearing clothes I bought 20 years ago in high school because they finally fit me again. It's a wonderful feeling. Congratulations on your success.

When I got alterations done, the seamstress called me fat. It was so hurtful and I left crying. So, definitely understand what you went through.
Wow! What a great accomplishment!!! I lost about 97 pounds after I saw our wedding photos. It really brings a sense of reality after seeing how huge I was. It took me about a year as well. Since seeing your video it has inspired me to take another go at losing this 40 pounds I set as my original goal. Best of luck to you!

Well done on the weight loss and congratulations on your wedding. I too had issues with the bridal shops and my mum. One shop didn't even let me in the door as they would not be able to help me. My mum said she was disappointed that I didn't lose weight for the wedding. I actually got bigger with the stress and was a UK 24. Lost weight after. My husband has never seen my size and loved me for being me x

I was starting to lose my weight since April 21, 2017 and its amazing how my mother and sister support me to be fit.. And as of now, I'm still in my journey to lose my weight.. And I can say that, IT'S VERY HARD😂 I did cheat but I keep telling to myself that, I need to be fit for my own sake😊from 67 kg to 61 kg now.. Well my aim is 50 kg😊 hope I can make it😊😉 Thanks for giving me another inspiration to continue my journey. Lovelots😘😊
