Thai King makes first comments after months of pro-democracy protests

  • Under increasing pressure from protesters demanding reforms to the monarchy, Thailand’s king and queen met with thousands of adoring supporters in Bangkok. Crowds of royal devotees reached out to touch the monarch's hand, and gave the couple yellow roses as they went by. Members of the media were also allowed unusually close access. In a rare interview given to CNN and Channel 4 News, the king’s gave his first public comments on the pro-democracy demonstrations which have gripped the country for months. When asked what he would say to the protesters, King Maha Vajiralongkorn first said 'no comment' before adding 'we love them all the same' and that 'Thailand is a land of compromise'. Protesters say King Maha Vajiralongkorn's powers are too great and want to reverse changes that gave him personal control of some army units and a palace fortune valued in the tens of billions of dollars

I believe, even most Thai protesters love the King, and the King and Queen love all Thai people.
The King and the Queen are both well educated and very intelligent, if anyone can compromise a new unity and brighter future for Thailand, I believe they are the ones.
Democracy still ask for a head of the State. President or King.
That’s an easy choice in Thailand because Thai’s do love their King.

Since he loves to be in Germany n took his position for granted, i don't think being stripped as a king will shock him much. Even he try to act as a king now (after the pressure from protester), his did it just to save his royal status. whats the point of being a king that cant even functioned properly for the people.
