Today's Pennsylvania most farms have been turned into industrial parks and residential community's, the trains, Steel, and most other Industry are long gone I watched Bethlehem Steel take its last gasp as the retries had there pension stop 😦. Allentown lost all it's landmark department stores eg: Hess, Harrisburg politicians slowly turn the state into NJ with over regulations, I could go on I have lived in several regions of PA from the Lehigh Valley to Laurel Highlands and northern tier it's not anything like this video today I wish it was 😂😂😂
What a fascinating look into how history saw my home state. The industry isn't what it once was, of course, but the natural beauty and climate really IS excellent! HEY! Cornwall is MY town! All riiight! Cornwall and Mt Gretna - two small treasures of PA. The iron ore is no longer mined; it's a water reservoir now.

I'm surprised that they didn't mention Bethlehem by name when talking about steel production. They did however mention the Lehigh Valley, which is where I live, so that's cool.
A great historical episode of the state of Pennsylvania it was one of the thirteen colonies and were the amish and the Quakers live there also are great historical buildings and also the once great industrial coal factories and how they lived and worked
Did you know PA was the only colony that refused to supply and create a militia for common defense, even into the Revolutionary War? It was up to Ben Franklin to come up with a creative work around, thanks to the stubbornness of the Quakers.

Hahaha I walked right into that did I! 🕳️

This gives reason why I live my whole life in Bucks County Pennsylvania. Rich in history, just hope that it survives another 100yrs!
@Tommy C that's so awesome, I went to Pennsbury, lol, it's a small world
So have I, but it is in terminal decline just like the rest of the country. In another generation or two, it will be unrecognizable.

Love driving "Scenic 6" (Pennsylvania Hwy., U.S. 6) across northern PA. Never a dull mile in the entire journey on this famous two lane road.
