Hey Quincy, you need to do an episode comparing Abdul Carter vs Mason Graham (as he might end up being the fallback selection (if Abdul Carter goes first)
With the physicality of the NFL, there's no way Hunter can hold up playing both ways. Look at how often Denzel Ward gets injured. Now imagine if he played both sides of the field. he'd be lucky to dress for 5 games a season.
If I take Travis I'm making him go full time at whatever position I need from him. Maybe he can play the other position occasionally during emergencies.
I think we should use Hunter to our advantage. He's got enough stamina to play both sides (defense over offense, though). It'd actually make sense for the Browns because of what stefanski's done with versatile players. He'd also be a good KR in the new kicking format.
I might be oversimplifying it but in my book picking him is a two for one pick. Even if he plays receiver on third downs it puts major pressure on the defense. Having is the kind of problem the Browns need.
Any one of the super blue chippers, Hunter, Carter or Graham would be great. No need to roll the dice on one the mediocre QB prospects with such a high pick. Maybe a trade out would be good, so they could stockpile some picks to move up in next year's draft to take a QB.
People are lazy. They’re only cop out thing to say is “he can’t play both sides” how do you know he can’t play both sides? No one in college has played both sides the way he did, and people said the same thing when he got to Colorado. He’s simply the best football player in this class by a wide margin.
If we leave the draft with either Hunter or Carter I wouldn’t be mad but my only worry is Hunter got hurt in college a couple times. What to say he won’t get hurt in the Pros
More likely to happen if he’s playing both sides of the ball. I imagine part of the game plan would be to get hands on him on every play so he’s less of himself by the 4th. Different when grown men are doing that vs. college kids.
wouldn't hate it if they got him in the 3rd or 4th round, but I'd really rather our franchise guy be a great thrower of the football - Baker or Burrow style - than a guy who runs well but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn like rookie Josh Allen or Kaepernick
We play in a division with the best quarterbacks as a whole. Abdul Carter lets Myles Garrett play That much more dangerously. The faster you can get to the quarterback The more mistakes they're going to make. I'd love Travis Hunter but just think Carter brings more to the table in terms of change. Yes I know better coverage gives Garrett more time to attack the quarterback but I'd still rather see somebody with him wrecking the offensive line
Love Travis’ athleticism, but I love his hardworking personality and mindset even more. Seems like a great kid and I wish him the best even if he doesn’t get drafted by the browns 💯
Same dudes a man but lil boy he’s super dedicated got good character he’s as sure shot as it gets delima is he worth the 2 I could see my snatching him though I’m cool with him are Carter we need game wreaker,he’s a Swiss Army knife on steroids he’s like 2 players in one and he can return kicks to,how do u pass on thst
Hey Q gave me Hunter, Carter or a kings ransom including swooping top first round picks, a player, a second plus another first in 2026 … If someone wants to trade for our second overall the browns must fleece them like the texans fleeced us for derrick watson …. LetEmKnow!!
Travis Hunter is a 3 ball, high risk high reward, Abdul Carter is more of a layup (still high reward) Berry is already kind of fighting for his job and in order to get back on track after the Watson miscalculation he needs to get a couple easy buckets
it shouldnt be a knock on travis that he can do both if he is tracking as a generational cb prospect and has shown durability, browns wouldnt play him every down on O but would save it for specialty situations. Plus corners graded this high generally have a high hit rate. Hunter would give us arguably the best secondary in the league and free up an agressive jim schwartz defense to let loose like 2 yrs ago
If we're able to draft Travis Hunter, we should NOT try to use him in special teams because it would make him subject to even more injury. If we want to use him in more than one way, then go to his strengths as Receiver and Cornerback, teaming up on the opposite side of Jeudy and Ward.
The combine will tell us everything we need to know. Hunter is an incredible player but he also has a kid otw. As of now for me… it’s Abdul Carter no matter what
If the Browns do draft him, why not let him play both ways this first year. We have the depth at corner if he does get banged up, or tired. But just let him go both ways and evaluate if that’s working or if he’s playing better at a certain position
Hunter is a great looking prospect. Plays with heart and grit. Talented. Skilled. Decorated. Hes the definitional build around prospect. Its not about getting him to play both ways. It's about having a versitile tool that has elite traits for the current NFL landscape. Dieon went forth overall. Every guy ahead of him had pro bowl careers, but forth isnt first. Im not saying Hunter will be Sanders, but he is capable of being the best cb in football. 🤷 If hes best available, Im happy with him. Trade down to him even better.
Yeah he comes with the gold digger and that drama. Can you imagine the soft in the fanbase, those who believe all the false narratives, dealing with his girl trash talking Cleveland wanting Travis to go to Miami after a couple games?
There need to be no hesitation. At two get Carter and pair him with Myles. That would be s dynamic dual getting after the QB. That would make our defense scary.
Even Deion didn't really play more than as a gadget on offense besides one season, I think the endurance is just impossible to play both sides in full.
If you draft Travis Hunter, and refuse to let him play wide receiver you’ll be sitting a top receiver in the league on the bench when ur on offense. Travis is a shut down but he also has incredible ball skills, teams will avoid Denzel which means Travis will have plenty of opportunities for take aways. As well as having him lined up across from Jerry Jeudy on offense. Oh my. Travis makes so much sense for cleveland.
@@queblue7153 Great point here. Carter is a part time player on one side of the ball. A valuable one, but his 135 pound playing weight is not going to allow him to be on the field except for 3rd and 4 or longer. Wright abd McGuire still getting those snaps. Hunter can be an impactful every-down player on either side of the ball and an impactful part timer on the other. Hunter or Graham over Carter, easy.
Simply put it's hunter over sanders and even deion sanders would tell you that. Kid is randy moss 2. Top level talent with small town mentality. If you would go back and draft randy, you should draft hunter. And there's no rules against playing both sides in the nfl that I know of. His position depends on match ups week to week
6’1 and 185 does not scream randy moss-desean jackson seems more appropriate-moss was so unbelievable as a prospect. I just can not believe he will come close to that level.
@nerothelost9605 I've known people with the physique that didn't come close either. This kid has the right mentality and that is what truly makes the difference
Hunter is talented but not worth the 2nd overall pick. The fact he wants to play both sides of the ball, would that be a distraction? I would trade down if Carter is gone and hope to gain extra picks.....
I think Hunter’s injury history shows that he won’t be able to start both sides of the ball in the NFL. That being said he should definitely start at CB and take snaps in the WR3 rotation I think so on the browns it would be him splitting with Bell/Thrash/Woods II depending on the package
Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like Travis Hunter is just a rich man’s version of Jabril Peppers. Don’t get me wrong I loved Peppers when he was here, but I feel like if we drafted Hunter, he wouldn’t reach his full potential in a place like Cleveland. That’s why I’m 100% in the camp of either taking Carter at 2, or trading down to get our hands on Campbell from LSU to replace Jed Wills.
Abdul Carter is going to go #1. The Browns REALLY need to figure out who they're going to take at #2. There is no chance a man can play both ways in today's 17-game NFL season. He won't last the full season, and if he does, he won't last more than three seasons.
Exactly he’s one of a kind but to say he’s running full time that’s ridiculous he’s not a machine however knickel bk/2 /slot/returner I could see my guy as a faster Debo
I could EASILY see him paired opposite Ward 🤤😁, just like you Carter heads could see him paired with Garrett! With Martin & Newsome regressing this year (along with the whole damn team) we certainly could use him in our pass first/happy league big time! Schwartz is like "flip a coin, I'll take either" (win win).
Could the browns take Travis and then use him week by week based on the matchups? Opponent has a weak secondary? Play em that week at Wr. Opponent has explosive passing offense OR we are down a CB, play em on D
The good thing about Hunter is that he’s has to be a bust a two position to be considered a bad pick. That’s my reasoning for taking him. What’s the likelihood that he’s a bad corner and WR?
What kind.of.competition does Big 12 really play against? I mean they are fast and small and get hurt alot in college. Like an earlier comment said, what happens when grown men hitting these dudes. He would defintely not be able to play both sides of the ball...he really did not even pull that off in college without getting hurt.
I just don’t think cornerback or wide receiver constitute as big enough needs for this team to spend the second overall pick on Hunter. Defensive end, defensive tackle, offensive line, QB. Fix the problems.
Your criticism of Hunter is fair, just like I think Carter is too small and no ideal for the direction the league is headed playing bully ball. Dude wrecked the game with one arm and still lost. It's why I lean QB. None of these other guys impact the game as much.
There's no way he's gonna be a full time 2 way player in the nfl. Injuries will start to pile up as the seasons go on and corner and wr are probably the two most injury prone positions . He needs to master 1 position and then decide whether to expand what he does. Just take the guy you know what he is in Carter. I can easily see a team getting to ambitious with hunter and it not working out like it did simmons and he never reaches his potential.the #2 pick is to valuable to take a guy you dont know exactly what he is and how to use him
Too many ifs and unknowns for me to feel comfortable picking Hunter... i also believe if hes not your no1 option or a bell cow on offense, hes not worth it...he would have to be a perennial pro bowler on defense... I dont know why people dont bring up cris Gamble from Ostate...Travis Hunter is clearly better, but by how much?...Gamble had a decent career, but nobody brings him up... With Carter, the Only worry is his weight, but even if he doesn't get bigger (99%time all men gain muscle & weight from21-26 naturally)theres plenty of comparisons that show Carter can still be dominant in the pros...So looking at it from a risk-reward standpoint, its clearly obvious who is a safer choice.... TBH a really good TE would be more important to the Browns and what their trying to do on offense this year than another WR.... Pairing an elite player opposite Myles is also more important for our defense, than another really good corner ...Q ☝🏽💯
@stevendcompton abdul carter. Similar decision in 2017 with garrett or trubisky. Take the guy you know what he is and can plug him in right away opposite garrett. Forcing a QB pick or taking a player you don't know how to use never works out

@eddiegeorge1878 why fanboy he wasn't a I'll go get that receiver when he was playing mid-teams there's many times where he was shut down and he was never a shutdown corner against any team he played against Chris Gamble was both of those and he wasn't even in the running for a Heisman
@2:23 Tet McMillan is easily hands down leagues above travis at receiver. This is olympic level cope right here.
We need to draft that running back Jenty
Wouldn’t be surprised if this is the pick considering dingleberrys fascination with receivers
Abdul CARTER or Get outta Town
