I spent six months researching looms, techniques, and business models, went from back strap to rigid heddle, then purchased a floor loom for 94% off the ticketed price. 2025 is getting the courage to face its hydra of heddles 😅 Your videos were a light in the darkness. Thank you for being here.
My praise of last year is figuring out how to keep myself from burning out knitting a top-down sweater before getting to the sleeves, regardless of what the pattern says to do. 😂
Last year, I got official disability status and started getting state-funded help around the house! I got state-funded transportation too, which has freed me to be more social with less fatigue. Navigating all the bureaucracy is difficult and frustrating for people whose brains work typically, so I count it a big win that my injured brain and I made it happen...eventually. 😂🎉
Weaving question for you. I noticed you leave a “tail” when you start your weaving. I’m pretty sure your tie-offs at the end of weaving secure the end of the weaving, but I don’t think I’ve seen you weave in that little beginning tail. Do you just trim it off after creating your fringe on the beginning end, or do you put it on a needle and weave it in?
I love your sit and listen with the music. I get really into it and then it's over. So I listen to it again. 😊❤ Thank you

Last year, I ended things with my neglectful partner and have been slowly working towards leaving

I usually tie it into one of the fringe knots and then trim off the extra. Good call out!
