It's amazing and scary how little lug depth they had on the track and how little suspension they had on the sled unreal but they were still fun as hell
Looks like a Mikuni slide / float Carb. (So much better than those Diaphragm bottom weed eater carbs.) Ignition change too get rid of points I assume ? If so .. these changes make the sled so much more reliable.
My dad had a 440. He won a TON of races with it. That sled actually started out our Drag Racing career.
that is one clean Cat!
Those vintage Cats are so awesome looking!
Just found this one, Had a 400 73 Cheetah did the Mikuni conversion then a rubber track. Wish I still had that machine.
Sleek looking sled

That thing is beautiful
Had a 440 and a399 and needles to say that 399 ran with or ahead of just about any 440 and that cheetah 440 was well respected for its time
What a fine specimen of a Cheetah !

Nice sled. Envious.
Man that's nicer than my 73 John Deere 440....she's a beauty!
Had one. Vapour locked constantly.
You musta polished the tunnel❤
wow what a nice sled .almost it looks brand new . look like it don't have that many miles on it
💜
Question. How and what product did you use to get your aluminum so shiny? Looks great!
Is your 440 for sale??
Wrong carb, clutch and ignition amongst other things, nice sled but not genuine
Looks like they did some common upgrade to make it more reliable. Comet 102 clutch Mickey carb etc. I’d gladly ride that with that set up.
