  • Let's have a look at Microsoft's new credential for Azure Storage Accounts.
For more details about our course, please go to www.udemy.com/course/microsof...
    ---
The requirements for the Azure Blob Storage/Files Microsoft Applied Skills are:
Create and configure a storage account
    Create and configure Blob Storage
    Create and configure Azure Files
    Configure encryption
    Configure networking for storage
    In this video, we will:
Create a storage account, a container, and uploading a file to that container.
Generate a Shared Access Container (SAS), so that others can have access to that file.
Locating the various tabs that you need to know for this Microsoft Applied Skills assessment.
    ---
In our 2.5 hour video course, first, we’ll create and configure a storage account. We’ll look at some detail at configuration, both when creating the storage account and after it has been created.
Then we’ll configure your uploaded files. We’ll look at access tiers, lifecycle management, soft delete and versioning for blobs, together with how users can access the data.
Finally, we’ll configure how your files are encrypted, and how the Azure Storage Account can interact with other Azure services using Virtual Networks.
There are several practice activities in this course, so you can be sure that you are learning.
By the end of the course, you'll be much more confident about creating and configuring Azure Storage Accounts and perhaps even take the official Microsoft assessment. That would look great on your CV or resume.

If an Azure datacenter fails, azureapp1 must fail over to a datacenter in the same zone. In the event of a regional failure, azureapp1 must fail over to a different region.
In this case, should I choose GRS or GZRS?

Hi English. Thank you for your question. Geo-Zone-Redundant Storage (GZRS) is the appropriate choice. GZRS will provide the redundancy across multiple zones within the same region for datacenter-level resilience and also replicate your data to a secondary region for regional-level resilience. GRS
intermediate option with failover capabilities in a secondary region.
      Recommended for backup scenarios.
This detail is written when making your choice. Wouldn't GRS selection be enough?

@@englishman1104 Do not think GRS satisfied the requirement. It wanted first Zone redundancy, and then also geo redundancy. So that leaves GZRS.
