19 - Solving Systems of Equations by Addition, Part 1

    Learn how to solve a system of simultaneous equations by the method of addition (also called elimination).
    We multiply and add one equation to the other one in order to eliminate a variable, thereby finding the answer to the other variable in the set.

    can you choose which ever method of solving systems you want ? or would different equations need to be solved differently ?

      on tests they will specifically ask you to use a certain method for the question to show that you know both

      @@dwydeshruyde1409 Yup, I had to use this trick ( th-cam.com/video/Ks-wwYpS20Y/w-d-xo.html ) and then reverse engineer it to fit the certain method they were asking for. But that was before I found this channel Math and Science.

    OMG FINALLLY. i need a why, not just a how. What is the point of just how. Mabey math wouldn't be such a teeth pull if teachers explained why.

      Remember adding a negative u get a bigger negative -2 adding -42 gives u a bigger negative that's were he got negative -44

      He lined up the numbers kind of weird but -42+-2=-44 so he is still correct

      he has other videos solving with baby steps and very detailed explanations... you should look for it yourself, he is an amazing teacher you just have to find the right videos for your level
