@@deployviews220 there is a way to do it that is allowed in tournaments according to tenz, my guess is what cortezia was used to, is the more common type which uses third-party software
That logic about cortezia shouldve done something else to warm up like aimlabs is silly. Youre essentially suggesting they play on an entirely new horizontal sensitivity while keeping the same vertical sensitivity. This kind of practice right before rhe match would be DETRIMENTAL compared to doing nothing as youd just be confusing ur brain and muscle memory.
good thing aim isnt muscle memory. and aimlabs has a built in stretch res aswell, and people that use stretch or left handed are just as good with or without their preferential settings. but yeah bit silly riot shouldve just let him play on the settings he wanted too play on.
I used to think muscle memory and consistent settings was the end goal, but I've since switched my position to think that these are tools to help you play in a comfortable way. A good player can adjust different aspects and adapt while still playing well, and if he's told he can't use stretch he needs to adapt -- he's getting paid to perform, not waste 3 hours and complain. Riot should allow for the usage of stretch resolution since it isn't harmful and doesn't give a competitive advantage, imo. Like with sensitivity, it's a tool that can be used. This doesn't remove the blame from cortezia for acting the way he did in response to that
@iinsaniity6729 this doesn't at all address the problem I mentioned that practice RIGHT BEFORE a match using a functionally different sensitivity is going to be DETRIMENTAL to his performance in the match. I completely agree that changing sens can be a very useful tool, especially while aim training, to improve long term as it can enable you to practice more effectively the different areas of aiming. However, when it comes to actually implementing all that practice, consistency of settings is super important as the more familiar you are with your sens, the quicker your body's reaction will be to your brain seeing something and telling it to move your crosshair to it. And finally, I don't even think his response to the situation was bad. Seeing as he felt he couldn't warm up without causing detriment to his play in the match itself, reading his bible and listening to music both sound like sensible ways to ground yourself before a high pressure/high adrenaline event.
@@ryanbrown5141muscle memory, at least how people normally think of it, isn't quite the right wording yeh. You don't learn muscle memory for specific length flicks etc, but there is absolutely an aspect of muscle memory in effect with aiming in the sense that aiming is essentially hand eye coordination which relies on familiarity with how your body moves. If your arm and wrist muscles suddenly doubled in strength you'd have to adjust to that in the same way a new sens too. Also, while most people can usually adapt fairly well to a new sens quickly, he's not gonna have that time after getting on stage to be able to readjust to his original settings if he's just been praccing with new ones. 100% agree it was a dumb decision by riot though, especially if the players are ALLOWED TO USE THOSE SETTINGS ON STAGE FOR THE MATCH ANYWAY.
One last thing to add, it's not necessarily true that people don't get worse when swapping res or left hand model to right etc. There's a famous example of a cs player called woxic. Absolute demon awper in csgo, but really struggled in cs2 (yes I'm aware of the changes to awping in cs2) who used left hand model. As soon as they added the ability to swap hands in cs2, he had an INSANE turn in his form and started frying again. This isn't directly relating to sens and res and aiming, but it's an interesting example of how seemingly unimportant visual changes can massively impact someone's ability just by affecting their familiarity and comfortability.
I feel like PRX is hitting the same role-issue induced ceiling that EDG was hitting before EDG’s champs run. I feel like Something and Smoggy are essentially the same type of player, really aggressive, has great play making, so I imagine giving Something an aggressive controller role with part-time Jett duties would suit him good.
Well, EDG did maintain there image of big brother by winning the first international trophy for china when no team was close to top 3-4 so even if they did not qualify i don't think they'll lose their respect but yes it would be a shock no less
as a prx fan, this is both concerning and unassuring of the teams state of play, tbf this is first game of the season and t1 was kinda stacked with buzz, stacks and meteor who are known to wreck prx when it matters. bind was disaterious (but frankly normal for their bind), fracture was really good for them and frankly split could've gone either way. this start is neither good or bad but worrying going into lower bracket this quickly. tho i think they will pick up the pace next couple of matches (cope)
They looked decent, but threw one too many rounds on split. I find their aggressive playstyle just becomes blatant throws on many of the rounds where they had the 1 man advantage. Shouldve been a comfortable win on split
Even if they do, i don't think this will sustain long-term. Jinggg and Something both want to be so aggressive. They need to drop one of em or put Jinggg on perma senti to stop this. Every team has that aggressor but having 2 just invites loss
Okay but he plays on that specific res. If he switches to a different one to warm up, then plays the match with his original, it could easily throw off his game. The mouse movements needed to hit precise shots could be slightly off and it's too risky.
Yeah just deciding to not warm up because you can’t get stretched is kinda stupid lmao. And I understand riots perspective about not allowing players to use device manager. Allowing any modifications to their PCs can jeopardize competitive integrity. And if the player doesn’t know what they’re doing, they could mess with the programs riot has set up for the POVs and replays. Therefore causing tech pauses
DGzin has also the same res as cortezia and he complained about it too. Riot is just punishing the players cuz they don't want to watch stretched res. I think RIOT should be fair and equal for all the players and allow them to warm up with their proper settings whatever they are.
I think if they aren't allowing true stretched for everyone then they are being fair and equal. If they are allowing for some and not for others then that is a problem. As long as there are common rules for everyone it's fair. Then it's on you to play the game within that ruleset and not use other settings.
Bro it rly changes everything when going from stretched to normal, the lineups, the player models, the pace of the game on the screen and the overall feeling. The players who play stretch should be allowed to play stretch no matter what its their years of practice on that particular setting and you cannot take it away. I cant hit any shots in even ranked when i go from stretched to normal res accidently
I think it happened last year with Flor as well. Itll happen next year and the year after too. When you have a team restricted to only the marginalized there will always be limitations to how good they can get.
you know whats fucked? Cortezia said he cant use ture stretched. and someone might shit talk him "then how did Dgzin performed just well with ture stretched" like its fucked
Which is completely fair, he is getting paid to PLAY a VIDEOGAME, and yet he can’t even open AimLabs and warm up at least 15 minutes? Seems like a baby rage to me, most pros use the stretched features IN GAME, Riot said no more external methods to do full stretched and he sat there crying and complaining… Come on man, it’s your job. Be a little more professional about it
