I actually didn’t find out that it came out until I got home because I don’t really use much social media, and I didn’t really have a good reason to check my phone at work. It was actually my dad of all people to tell me it came out (because he follows RobTop's twitter for some reason), which is pretty funny imo.
bro 2.2 actually cured me of the flu, i was sick and lying downstairs on the couch watching yt shorts when my friend messaged me saying 2.2 was out. thought he was joking and then robtop pinged everyone in the discord and i ran upstairs. was so excited that i forgot i was sick and the next morning i was feeling fine LOL
i was taking a walk with my family and i told my sister that if 2.2 released while we were outside then it would be the best day ever (i had already told her about robtop submitting the update earlier). Then when we arrived back home I saw it updated
funny story: i was playing 2v2 box fights in fortnite with my friends, and when i was told 2.2 dropped i immediately closed fortnite and booted up gd and didnt tell my friends why until an hour later
When 2.2 dropped, I was in Puerto Rico, in my cousin's room. I was playing on my laptop, lying down on an inflatable mattress with REALLY bad posture, when I saw that RobTop pinged everyone to check steam.
It came out as I was driving home from work, and after I got home I remember opening my phone and seeing the message that went like "As you probably know, 2.2 just came out..." felt surreal
i was waiting for the playboi carti song to drop and then my friend hits me up with the robtop tweet, i thought it was a joke at first but then when i check steam all i see is a update button. this was crazy
I was on my computer looking at the steam database when I saw the beta branch get deleted and the public changed from 6 years to seconds since it was last opened. Was absolutely insane lol.
i was in a voice chat with 2 of my friends playing some roblox, and i alt tabbed to youtube and refreshed the page to watch some videos, and i saw colon's stream and i was like ''what?'' and i opened up steam and i saw the ''update queued'' sign there, and me and my friends just started going nuts. all 3 of us were playing dash, i beat it first and started messing around in the editor until they also beat it, and after that we started racing the tower levels, it was an experience. definitely the best day of my life.

I was asleep and didn't realise until 6am the morning after when I was on the bus to work so that shift I took about 10 bathroom breaks just to play the update lmao

Colon wouldn’t really troll about that and theres no way its just a coincidence that two big people in the community are trolling at the same time about 2.2. So i clicked on colon’s stream and see him playing dash in practice. Then I immediately updated my game and got on.
I was getting a haircut so that I could be ready for Christmas but then 15 minutes later my brothers were shouting saying "2.2 IS OUT" at first I thought they were just joking, after I was done getting my haircut, I check my steam on my computer "then, I saw a UPDATE, was it Gonna be 2.2 or 2.114, IT WAS 2.2, I WAS SO EXCITED TO PLAY THE NEW LEVELS THEN I SAW DASH I WAS HOLY SH!T IM PLAYING DASH.
I was playing Shitty Aquatic Auroras, I heard the ping from the official Discord server and yeah the rest is history. The next day however, I left to go to Canada, where I was for the next 2 weeks, so I didn’t get to enjoy the very start of 2.2

I was home and was busy that day ehen i decided randomly to check gd on steam. Then suddenly i noticed that there were patch notes but didnt see i could update the game so i thought they were just released ahead of time or something. It got me excited but then when i looked on Discord to see if people had information about this i saw people spamming about 2.2 being put. Thought it was a joke and then i looked back and saw robtop said check steam a few hours ago. So then i reloaded the page and just had a panic attack
