They do run hot. My recommendation would be to order one with the liquid cooling option. It also includes a heat sink for the VRM. I removed the hard drive and cage and moved the case fan to that location, so it blows across the motherboard. My GPU is a triple fan 6600XT and wouldn't fit with the fan in the original location. At idle my CPU is in the low 30s, at load in the 60s. The GPU is in the 40s at idle and hits in the 70s under full load. This is with the 10700K and no overclock.

Does your Alienware overheat? I have been seeing a lot of reviews where people say that this alienware computer does not have enough cooling.
