Love your videos guys. Many Temples look unused, but in fact they're not. Every village has at least main Temples for various occasions, including funeral and cremation ceremonies. Every Clan in Bali also has a at least 1 Clan Temple at Besakih. Our own big Clan has quite a few. In addition, we have numerous large family Temples in different areas of Bali where my wife's families and ancestors originated. Some of these may only be used once or twice per year. Cheers 👍🙏🙏🙏
I had my first but not last visit to Sidemen about a month ago. I stayed next to your hotel and had a coffee there. I also sat at exactly the same tables at both the restaurants you featured! Such a beautiful peaceful place. Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you venturing out and about guys. Thanks for taking us along. Heading into that area next year.....where was the traditional market at end of video?
Definitely a worthwhile trip. Add a half hour to that trip and you'll be able to ride up to our villa once its built, only 2 hrs from Kuta and you're already 20 mins further along
@@roamingRichard it certainly is. Sidemen is our favourite place in Bali to relax and escape the craziness. The scooter ride up there isn't too bad either. It takes us about 75 minutes and riding up and around the surrounding mountains is awesome 👍
Hi guys, wondering how you travelled to Sideman? And what did it cost? Do you think next time you would take yourselves there by Scooter now that you have a bit more experience?
Thank you both for sharing your staycation with us, it looked beautiful and tranquil! It’s been great watching your videos from the day you moved over……..so lovely meeting you and chatting tonight! Cheers, Lynette and Ken
I have been riding big powerful motorcycles for 40 years in Australia, and I never hire a scooter in Indonesia or SE Asia. I am really scared for those who ride who have never ridden before, they are a danger to themselves and others. I like your sensible attitude and that you are going the right way about it by having lessons. I believe tourists should not be rented bikes if they don't hold a bike licence in their home countries. You will need a scooter living in Bali and it will become easier and like second nature after awhile. Have fun, fellow bikers. Remember to tick the box on your travel insurance to cover you on the scooter and get an international licence if you are a tourist.
So yummy, lots of menu choices with a beautiful atmosphere. Love it, thank you Richard & Karen ❤
Thanks for watching 🙏

Jeez, that fella riding the scooter across the bridge at 10:47 was hookin' in. He must be the local ambo.
Ha Ha yes they are very confident riders

They are in the Main Street we just stumble across them
I reckon if you get there early you would see so much more
Thanks you two! Really enjoyed that 🙂

@@lindysutherland4563 yes so true
Sidemen nice
Yes it is 👍
Looks like a great alternative to Ubud.
It’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy the tranquility 👍
Never been to Bali but you're selling it to me! Whens the best time to visit?
Thanks for watching🙏
The dry season is between April and October
It’s not as hot then
We have stayed at Sawah Indah! Sideman is beautiful but I fear it will get overrun like Ubud in the future.😢
Hopefully it stays as is 🙏
Hi guys, wondering how you travelled to Sideman? And what did it cost? Do you think next time you would take yourselves there by Scooter now that you have a bit more experience?
Hi we got a driver and it cost $35 each way . So many trucks and winding roads , so I wouldn’t be comfortable riding up
Thank you both for sharing your staycation with us, it looked beautiful and tranquil!
