Hello I just found your channel and subscribed, I like your videos they are informative. I am actually considering to study social work in university. Do you have any tips for beginners? 🙂
@@fantasyhaven3900 Hi!! Thank you 😊 Beginner tips: - Try to get a field placement at a place you can see yourself working at OR with a population you’d like to work with - Don’t be afraid to ask your professors questions and take advantage of their office hours - Pay special attention to the different theoretical frameworks because that’s what will guide your practice primarily
Thank you for the video! I wanted to know if it was possible for an LCSW to do their work abroad like countries in Europe ? Also did you ever look into doing a LMFT?
@@ashleycastaneda775 Hey Ashley! Yes, it’s possible for a LCSW to do their work abroad. You need to contact the Board of Social Work in Europe to find out the licensure reciprocity requirements. And no, I never looked into that.
Heyy hew subscriber here! I have a question, I am an MSW student in my first year and have just been placed in a primary school for my first ever placement (my bachelor's degree was in something different). I am quite nervous and feel uncertain about what I need to do. In the first semester, my courses have been basic introductory stuff for social workers, but nothing covered how to approach placement - I am situated in Australia. Have you been in the same boat? If so, how was it, and did you enjoy your time? Sorry for the long question, just kinda anxious about this new environment!

Hey I always wondered what do social workers do for the summer being that the students aren’t there ?
Great question, Ashlee! It depends on the agency that they work for but some do virtual counseling sessions, attend trainings, etc.
Hie mame kindly give me some tips on social work adults interview
Hi Renee! This is a loaded question. Please feel free to schedule a consultation with me (link in description).
