I was looking for this comment from Harsha-DK. Aus were actually defensive in their tactics. They should have declared and asked India to bat for a minimum of 5-6 overs. Looking at our top order form, 1-2 wickets were definitely on the cards.
@@jayantchatterji3262even 50 runs is not a huge amount if it means India lose a couple of wickets. Australia are extremely defensive and clearly scared to lose (this is true even if they go on to win this match). Almost any other team would have tried to score some quick runs and declared.

India hit 324 on final day in Brisbane test few years ago and everyone said the same thing that India wouldn’t chase the score but they did. Indian team is uncertain,. Very difficult to predict what is coming up. Hope they chase down the target set by Aus tomorrow and I know it’s difficult.

We keep saying individual milestone don't mean much if you are running behind in the game but still somehow we spend more time discussing and celebrating individual milestone. Great contribution from Nitish and off course Bumrah, but the job is not done yet, Australia is still leading the game and on top. So I am sorry to say that bringing out whole life of a player after one century is not so exciting when India can still lose the game.
The way we bowled today, we deserved to get Australia out under 120-130, could have got Khawaja and Labuschagne out much earlier and Cummins and Lyon would not have got these may runs too if luck was on our side. We bowled extremely well but it was just not our day especially Yashasvi which will force us to chase atleast 100 runs more than we should have which will cost us the match, the BGT and he WTC final. Bumrah deserved better support and luck today I feel. Even Akashdeep bowled much better than his figures show.
What an exciting game and format! India created a moment where it seemed we could win, but it eventually slipped away. Most probably, we are heading to another Draw.
India will likely go for draw and if Kohli still touches an outside off delivery, he should retire and if not be dropped. Unless the Indian top order put hard yards, it's Aus 2-1.
It was 2004. I used to work in the PCR of CNBC Biz. No TV 18 back then. My first job. Couple of months or so into the job. There was some cricket interview happening. I stood next to Ganguly and and Harsha. Was a little surprised to see that Ganguly was taller than me. Dravid came later in the day. It was clearly said to just put me at ease. I was sort of frozen, obviously, but not too much to emit nervous vibes. As nobody really minded my presence4 too much. Harsha said something to me, the most insignificant guy in the room. It wasn't because he saw me nervous or in need of comforting words. It was just so clear that Harsha would naturally speak in his soothing voice to whoever was standing next to him. Especially if it was someone who was a nobody.
Just when you think India is getting on top, Our players makes the immense efforts to handover the game to Australia. Giving hopes only to disappoint at the end. If Australias low order can bat well, India can too. What they should see is see off the first 1 hour of the day. Why the hell does this not get into their minds?
I was in the B17 ground stands. I'm not exaggerating. All the players, Sarfaraz, Abhimanyu, and Bumrah, themselves asked us to cheer on every ball, saying it was a message from VK. Watching in the stands and the drama makes a lot of the difference.
India should play for draw, won't be easy though on Day 5, probably gets the batsmen who are out of form to get themselves into form before heading into Sydney.
It’s possible for India to win the match, because it’s flat track. They just need to be patient for the first 15 to 20 overs and don’t lose early wickets. I have a very strong belief, India will win or draw .❤️
Catches win matches today was the day team 🇮🇳 could have packed aus below 275 we had good chance to win the match don't know what is issues to take tail early
@@Shekhar03231 Siraj dropped when Aus head lead of 279. Quite unfortunate. But by the time the pitch flattened out. So it took 50+ overs for wicket to flatten out. So thats what Team India needs to do, to win, bat more than allotted overs, but in 48 overs match can be done and dusted if our approach is like ODI, we will lose for sure. Example of Gabba is correct but apart from potential good starts, we need someone who can hold the strike like Pujara who himself played 200 balls. Who can play like this?
I wonder why you said so. I know our top order hasnt been performing for a lengthy period but just like Australia played entire's day play today, India too can bat out 3 sessions. Frankly its 2.5 sessions, the last hour of the day can be called off if India doesn't lose too many wickets. Moreover, Starc is off the boil. Its only 2.5 bowlers - Cummins, Boland and Lyon
@@VikasSingh-fn2je I think if Jaiswal caught some catches, Aus would collapse to 150 max and 255 score. Then these idiots on twitter would again bark if we lost 3-4 wickets. The ball is nipping even after 43 overs, but match could be done within that. If match goes beyond these 43 overs, Australia will not win, DRAW OR INDIA.
I said this based on the trend of performances so far. Ofcourse you are welcome to think that India may win or draw but in general Australia has been the better team overall throughout the series and this match in particular. They have the killer instinct to make a victory happen and as you say India's batting order has not been performing well. It would require India to put up a superlative batting performance to even draw the test (the kind seen in Perth 2nd innings) and for me Indian victory is really out of question.
@@sabhas007 🥶 Only 5 times since 1882 has a 5-match test series (home/away) been drawn 1-1 and none have occurred in this century. A draw here means an automatic draw at Sydney because first 2 days in Sydney are washed out.India again will create history with this draw. It will also mean that Australia can’t beat India since Perth 2018, the next time India tour here would be in 2028, after a whole decade. Can we do it though?
Hopefully now it is clear why I said Australia will win this test match. Until India sort out their batting especially Rohit and Virat nothing much is going to happen in Sydney.

Rohit Sharma finally into red ball cricket captaincy so well this day, but in last session he lost the track. Defensive field again Lyon, not going with bouncers plan against tail. Hope we don't lose this match, all on out batters
This doesn’t get discussed but I think India should look into training Bumrah’s slip catching. If he fields at slip, he could bowl longer spells as seems to be the requirement now. James Anderson’s prolonged career could very well be from this fact.
Wish we had Shami and we would have won most games. Why do Indian fast bowlers are always injured?? Never seen AUS fast bowlers out for a long time due to injury.
I think Indias gonna gamble and go for the win. I think the most crucial partnership will be Jaiswal and Rohit. They are aggressive batters if they push hard and get 100 in 10 overs and they depart. I think our middle order and add another 150 together. I think Reddy and Pant will push hard the last few hours and add 100 partnership. The key partnership is the opening one if they go aggressive for 10-15 overs we got the game. We just have to maintain our composure and be animated and stay positive.
That is a defensive tactic because if the batsmen looking to defend eventually they will got out they should looking to score tomorrow after the seeing the newball off
R sridhar from Bangalore feels that India has take risk and go for attacking batting in the 2nd inngs. If they for defensive batting, Aus will win. Our top order has to bat boldly with quick runs without going rashly like Pant in the 1st inngs. One four in every over will do the thing rightly.
India’s test pool now Jaiswal Rohit Rahul Gill Kohli Sarfaraz Pant Jurel Nitish reddy Jadeja Washington Axar Kuldeep Bumrah Shami Siraj Akash Harshit Prasidhh We still need 2-3 good pace bowling options though for Bumrah.
What a test, old school excellence. Yes, Bumrah is one of the best ever seen, it’s such a shame he has no support to continually keep the pressure on the batsmen. Nearly half the post is about Bumrah. Cummins has it all, bowling, batting and his captaincy. The best short ball in the game. His performance should have been mentioned in this post especially on today’s play. However, this schoolboy worshipping is not what I’d expect from Harsha after such an amazing day of cricket. It’s almost like you didn’t watch the game.
At 91 for six..a good. supporting bowler could have finished the tail.from that dropped catch, indian chances got weakened..to chase 250 was easier than 340.. India has the wherewithal to do it ..for this a century opening stand like in Perth is needed.. thereafter Aussies will become an ordinary bowling unit as evident as when Reddy sundar partnership..so a very good start can draw the game as well..then think of winning later if time and overs remaining..by then Aussies will be shattered if it is 250 for 3 by tea time Rohit should definitely deliver tomorrow.. otherwise a retirement is imminent for he as a captain had not delivered 10 percent as a batter. for which he is famous for
sorry sir i m from nepal i love ipl ,i have been watching ipl since 1st edition but bgt specially at Australia is more more interesting, enjoyable and satisfaction as a cricket fan than ipl,ipl is nothing infron of bgt series
Harsha you don’t have to go far to find the right adjective for Bumrah… He is now serving Indian Cricket single handed, what Tendulkar did for years….. THE GOD
I think tomorrow after every boundary batsman should celebrate like Australia,, sure it will put aunties under pressure .. If we can able to do this someone from their Boling squad get some side strain and they will bowl will only 2 bowlers
Rohit Jaiswal Nitish and Pant are key to play positive game to score runs while Virat KL Jaddu Washi can play support or anchoring... GG ROHIT and Team India will play for a WIN. but it all depends on how TOP order performs.. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Somehow I feel India will go all guns blazing with the bat. Yashasvi had a bad day. Rohit is having a very calm series. Both are aggressive batters and this is a perfect stage for them to come out of these lows. First 20ovs if India can get 100 runs without losing a wicket, I will put my bet on India to win this.
Yashsvi had a slightly off day…understatement of the year. Harsha is really poor, he is always underplaying huge mess ups - Dropping of Labuschagne was a disaster
What a batting shambles this has become for India. If all of us can see Rohit & Kohli have lost it why can't 😮the coaches? Dropping Gill non sensical, should have been Rohit. With so much effort put in by the bowlers,Coach should step down to.
DK … liked what you said about the bowling action of Akash Deep … isn’t this what our Bowling Coach shld be mentoring during practice and working on the release and length … especially our bowling coach who is from SENA country…. PS: During his tenure as Pakistan Coach almost all their bowlers had career threatening injuries and I hope he is not leading Bumrah on that Path
Jaiswal is probably having his worst day since he made his international debut. Cut him some slack. Rohit should have a chat with him and tell him to let it go. Glad that Pant went to Jaiswal and said it’s ok.
Harsha.. when you use the words ''twist''; reminded me of Sydney 2008. India were into the last hour and Kumble holding fort. Ian Chappel and you were commentating. And as you kept using this word ''is there another twist in the tale'', Chappel gets irritated with you on air. Of course India lost that test with 7 balls remaining as Michael Clarke wraps up 3 wickets (if memory serves me well).
Anyhow india played far better than Australia. India never give up if there is no drop chances Australia were bundle out for 135..till Sundar we have batting so there is chance for win.
Cricbuzz needs people who critically analyse the game. Right now, everyone sounds like fanboys rather than analyst.

I was looking for this comment from Harsha-DK. Aus were actually defensive in their tactics. They should have declared and asked India to bat for a minimum of 5-6 overs. Looking at our top order form, 1-2 wickets were definitely on the cards.
@@sameervaze6648their bowlers are not 100% fit
@sameervaze6648 had aus declared and jaiswal smacked 20-30 they would have been in huge trouble tomorrow.
@@jayantchatterji3262even 50 runs is not a huge amount if it means India lose a couple of wickets. Australia are extremely defensive and clearly scared to lose (this is true even if they go on to win this match). Almost any other team would have tried to score some quick runs and declared.
@@rahulsrinivas3224 They did right thing, for them it’s okay to draw this test match. But in case India chase down 280-290 target, the next match would be irrelevant. India being as previous winner would keep the trophy even if they manage to win the next game.
They thought in best possible way so far.
With all due respect, but India will not be getting 333+ runs on a 5th day MCG pitch. Its not going to happen.
They meant. You shouldnt go for a draw. If you go for a draw you are dobe
Ll talk tomorrow😊
India hit 324 on final day in Brisbane test few years ago and everyone said the same thing that India wouldn’t chase the score but they did. Indian team is uncertain,. Very difficult to predict what is coming up. Hope they chase down the target set by Aus tomorrow and I know it’s difficult.
@ for that gill gave a good start in 2021. Will rohit / yashasvi give a good start?
@ Feel yashaswi will score because of the 3 dropped chances today and Rohit knows he’s playing his penultimate test. Would like to sign off on a high winning the BGT.
Australia might just have brought draw into contention ,big time.Chasing 280 odd and 30 for 2 could have been a funeral in waiting for India
Steve Smith got out caught behind, which match did you watch Harsha??
yeah even i got confused what Harsh was talking about 😂At least DK should have corrected him.
That spell of Bumrah is one of the best I have witness by a fast bowler after Jimmy Andersons magical spell at Chennai.
Rohit did well no doubt, but I feel he did not attack the tail enders enough
Everyone has luck. No point cribbing about Aussies, Indian batsmen also have their own share of luck
One of the greatest test matches between these two titans…Bumrah is just simply brilliant!
I was in the B17 ground stands. I'm not exaggerating. All the players, Sarfaraz, Abhimanyu, and Bumrah, themselves asked us to cheer on every ball, saying it was a message from VK. Watching in the stands and the drama makes a lot of the difference.
No chance for a win..
Top order batsmen should bat patiently and draw the test match..
For india Gentleman Game has become HateStory Movie, Instead of playing Gentle and Genuine, we are seeing Show off
India has played very well....they fought hard....Goodluck for tmrw 🎉❤
Harsha and DK not finding words, Please put Agarbatti Puja..
Only bowlers taking wickets and Getting runs for both teams.. What are the batters doing?
Catches win matches today was the day team 🇮🇳 could have packed aus below 275 we had good chance to win the match don't know what is issues to take tail early
Jaiswal is responsible for those extra runs by Labuchagne.
But who is responsible to let Aus go from 156-8 to 228-9 ?
@@Shekhar03231 Siraj dropped when Aus head lead of 279. Quite unfortunate. But by the time the pitch flattened out. So it took 50+ overs for wicket to flatten out. So thats what Team India needs to do, to win, bat more than allotted overs, but in 48 overs match can be done and dusted if our approach is like ODI, we will lose for sure.
Example of Gabba is correct but apart from potential good starts, we need someone who can hold the strike like Pujara who himself played 200 balls. Who can play like this?
333 is not easy & India better look for draw as it is not easy to play on day 5 & pace bowlers always target on kracked pitch area .
I think harsha sir is mentioning smith instead of labshu
I don't think there will be any twists only a straightforward Aussie victory
@@sabhas007 🥶
Only 5 times since 1882 has a 5-match test series (home/away) been drawn 1-1 and none have occurred in this century.
That EV reference for Bumrah was suggested by Mark Waugh on air for Fox Cricket.
Bumraah is dennis lillee
DK 😅😅 ROHIT SHARMA best day still made tail dragged... removed 2 n 3 slips for them...overused bumrah... undermine jadeja sundar... These are bootlikers of roko.. don't have spine
He did this bkunder in 1st akso underuse jadeja, no use of Washington, overuse of siraj and over stressed bumrah, why the hell someone cld tell him to change bowling strategy, pooooooooor bumrah
Konstas got under Harshas skin too 😂..spoke about him for like two minutes and the sending off
Great review Harsha and Dk, cribuzz reviews are way more entertaining that any other mainstream channels
I think if we can manage a left hand right hand batting pair through the day somehow , we have bright chancs to win , and that should be only intent
Rohit Sharma finally into red ball cricket captaincy so well this day, but in last session he lost the track. Defensive field again Lyon, not going with bouncers plan against tail. Hope we don't lose this match, all on out batters
Good day of test cricket
Bowlers bowled their heart out upto the batsmen to do the job
This doesn’t get discussed but I think India should look into training Bumrah’s slip catching. If he fields at slip, he could bowl longer spells as seems to be the requirement now. James Anderson’s prolonged career could very well be from this fact.
The GABBA was a road. The MCG has lost bounce and is 2 paced, which was the catalyst for most of the wickets today.
Wish we had Shami and we would have won most games. Why do Indian fast bowlers are always injured?? Never seen AUS fast bowlers out for a long time due to injury.
My name is Akarsh kumar ,I am big fan of cricket.
I have seen so many indian bowler and no one ruled world cricket like Bumrah. Never seen batsman so afraid of facing of him.
Well they might use the heavy roller tomorrow which will make India batting a little more tougher
Miss very good close in fielders like Eknath Solkar, Rusi Surti & S Venkatraghavan.
Most important that the 10th wicket partnership of Australia should not wag on day 5 in the Melbourne Test
We needed Pujara and Vihari to stay at the wicket for a longer time and play those 80- 90 overs. Missing them immensely
What nonsenses are saying these two PR agents of BCCI 😂
Looks like Yashasvi Jaiswal is trying to Emulate the Fielding Skills of the Legendary Vijay Manjrekar 😎
India has put in a good fight against the mighty aussies
India’s test pool now
Jaiswal
Rohit
Rahul
Gill
Kohli
Sarfaraz
Pant
Jurel
Nitish reddy
Jadeja
Washington
Axar
Kuldeep
Bumrah
Shami
Siraj
Akash
Harshit
Prasidhh
We still need 2-3 good pace bowling options though for Bumrah.
Just Imagine India without Bumrah. Can they even win any test if this superman of a bowler didn't play?
What a test, old school excellence.
Yes, Bumrah is one of the best ever seen, it’s such a shame he has no support to continually keep the pressure on the batsmen. Nearly half the post is about Bumrah.
Cummins has it all, bowling, batting and his captaincy. The best short ball in the game. His performance should have been mentioned in this post especially on today’s play.
However, this schoolboy worshipping is not what I’d expect from Harsha after such an amazing day of cricket.
It’s almost like you didn’t watch the game.
Best analysis of the match is here you'd get
India should go for Win
At 91 for six..a good. supporting bowler could have finished the tail.from that dropped catch, indian chances got weakened..to chase 250 was easier than 340..
India has the wherewithal to do it ..for this a century opening stand like in Perth is needed.. thereafter Aussies will become an ordinary bowling unit as evident as when Reddy sundar partnership..so a very good start can draw the game as well..then think of winning later if time and overs remaining..by then Aussies will be shattered if it is 250 for 3 by tea time
Rohit should definitely deliver tomorrow.. otherwise a retirement is imminent for he as a captain had not delivered 10 percent as a batter. for which he is famous for
No matter what India should go for the kill after being up and down in the test match Again new ball is important to negate..
Australian win or draw
sorry sir i m from nepal i love ipl ,i have been watching ipl since 1st edition but bgt specially at Australia is more more interesting, enjoyable and satisfaction as a cricket fan than ipl,ipl is nothing infron of bgt series
Harsha you don’t have to go far to find the right adjective for Bumrah…
He is now serving Indian Cricket single handed, what Tendulkar did for years…..
THE GOD
I think tomorrow after every boundary batsman should celebrate like Australia,, sure it will put aunties under pressure .. If we can able to do this someone from their Boling squad get some side strain and they will bowl will only 2 bowlers
Needed Ashwin or Kuldeep Yadav in this team to get the tail-enders.
Good way to deviate from actual problems by pinpointing AUS' flaws...
Rohit Jaiswal Nitish and Pant are key to play positive game to score runs while Virat KL Jaddu Washi can play support or anchoring... GG ROHIT and Team India will play for a WIN. but it all depends on how TOP order performs.. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Love the show, but, Harsha sir, could you please teach DK how to use the word 'literally'?
Somehow I feel India will go all guns blazing with the bat. Yashasvi had a bad day. Rohit is having a very calm series. Both are aggressive batters and this is a perfect stage for them to come out of these lows. First 20ovs if India can get 100 runs without losing a wicket, I will put my bet on India to win this.
India don’t deserve to win this series. They’ve been second best and just shamelessly riding on Bumrah’s shoulders.
Goodluck team India ❤
Yes,Jaiswal has dropped Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Pujara's spirit went into Boland today
DK … liked what you said about the bowling action of Akash Deep … isn’t this what our Bowling Coach shld be mentoring during practice and working on the release and length … especially our bowling coach who is from SENA country….
PS: During his tenure as Pakistan Coach almost all their bowlers had career threatening injuries and I hope he is not leading Bumrah on that Path
The next Indian team would be like - 10 batsmen and Bumrah..
Jaiswal is probably having his worst day since he made his international debut. Cut him some slack. Rohit should have a chat with him and tell him to let it go. Glad that Pant went to Jaiswal and said it’s ok.
I would love to see DK vs Mark waugh in commentary box for the last test in Sydney, come on, DK, please go to Australia for last test of BGT.😂😂😂
Harsha.. when you use the words ''twist''; reminded me of Sydney 2008.
You fucking mad aus scored 474 in first innings from 300-6 if any team should win from here is Aus not chokers Ind
I am just praying that the dropped catches dont cost us a draw/ win this match
Siraj dropped Lyon when score was 279. 280 would be a great total to knock over. Now team India will go on the field in a half-hearted manner.
