Despite losing for the majority of the other AIs, i think CentaurMan is by far the most unique and interesting to watch. Something about the teleports, followed by an instant Flash its pretty hyped, specially when he's low at HP
Oh, Centaur Man is finally here?! Very coool, dude. (I didn't expected to Centaur Man be... "Guts Man's friends", as i called his little weakness.) Everyone should remember a few of things about stunning Robot Masters: 1) In single battles, they are doing less DPS, than other types of Robot Masters. (For example, even Cut Man can do more DPS, than Centaur Man) 2) In team battles they can be very good supporter for another types of Robot Masters.
Personal Assessment Centaurman is probably one of the most fascinating RMs we've seen yet because of how unique and varied his arsenal is and godawful it is. You know there's something wrong with you if a match-up against Gutsman is close. Centaurman has three (maybe four if you're generous) moves. - The first is his offensive tool, which is the buster shot. His buster shot is unique in two ways: 1) It splits apart and fans out upon contact with a wall. 2) It's shot too goddamn high to hit most robot masters. - His second and most unique move (At least compared to the RMs we've seen on the channel; some RMs do a very similar thing) Is his Centaur Flash. Centaur Flash freezes the opponent in place (but not their projectiles) for a short time. This synergizes well with his buster shot when it fans out since there's a good chance it'll hit any airborne opponents. - His third ability is teleportation. He can flash from one side of the arena to another in just a split second. This is really his only method of evading attacks and is quite useful. - His arguably fourth move is charging across the arena, but this does absolutely nothing for him. I see three major flaws that really drag Centaurman down. 1) He's too damn big; he's by far the largest RM we've seen yet, and bigger is never better in terms of these fights. 2) He takes so long between attacks that his DPS is abysmal. 3) To further exacerbate the previous issue, his buster attack (his only attack, mind you) is incredibly unreliable. The best counterplay against it is not to jump (unless you're an above-average-sized RM like Airman or Gustman) because it's shot way too damn high (another consequence of Centaurman being so huge.) I thought the fan-out attack would make him more suited on uneven arenas or against RMs that spend much of their time in the air. However, uneven arenas can actually make the attack worse because the initial shot doesn't penetrate walls, and I could see him being a better counter to airborne RMs if he increased his DPS. The only thing going for the buster shots is his Centaur Flash; it typically guarantees that at least one of the projectiles will hit, but that only does so much when the attacks are so infrequent. I'd easily rank Centaurman in F-tier, below Elecman but just barely above Gutsman. (Centaurman seems capable of getting at least a few wins every once in a while, so he isn't AS bad as Gutsy.) I think an easy buff to give him would be to make his "charge attack" do contact damage. Given his size and how he runs across the stage, he clearly is built around contact damage. You don't have to make him ALWAYS do contact damage, just when he's running across the stage (and making that silly trotting sound). I don't think this would buff him a crazy amount, but it might pull him up into D-tier and make him not feel so hopelessly weak.
I agree, contact damage during his charge feels like it'd be a very fair compromise between that part of his kit being useless and having real contact damage.
@ethoatom668 It was a very fun research article. thanks as always B^D. get a lot of comments that his walk should be a charge attack. I can't organize it yet, but I'll comment on this video again later. ....but his walk still doesn't seem like a charge attack to me, so don't get your hopes up 8). I'm not being stubborn, but If anyone has any comments to change my think, I'll give him a contact attack right away 8-)
Just now reading this, didn't know we were making tiers for the Robot Masters now. I think that a major flaw that should be added to the list is that, like Elecman, he *absolutely refuses* to attack unless his own is gone. Usually that might be iffy at best. But the thing is, given where he usually is, he then has to wait out the time it takes for his projectile to travel across the arena, and the time it takes for the splitshot to dissapear. By this time, even a Robot Master like Gutman can get in 2 to 3 hits. If the firing rate of a Robot Master is equal to or greater than the same rate that Gutsman's jumps are, then they've basically won. What REALLY doesn't help is that Centaurman's hitbox is *bigger than Gutsman's*. If he were to use the teleport or Centaur Flash better (or BOTH), he could've at least had a chance to turn around a few fights. But "World's Strongest" sadly doesn't equate to smarts. I think watching Centaurman VS Heatman was the most painful to watch. There's not moving while an attack is headed your way...and then there's just charging right into your enemy's attacks 🤦♂
He has like ONE loop where he flashes, fires the shot, it hits, disappear-miss-me-with-that, second shot hits, comes back and repeats. That’s his winning strat.
I think we've got a new Guts Man. Ideas for Super Centaur Man: 1) Centaur Flash causes damage. 2) His initial shot (the one that splits into other shots) is substantially larger. 3) Centaur Man deals contact damage. 4) Centaur Flash stuns enemies for longer. 5) Teleporting creates a spread of projectiles. This could be when he disappears, when he reappears, or both. 6) When he shoots, he simultaneously fires a slow projectile and a fast one. Both split into regular projectiles when they hit something.
Seconding contact damage that only happens during the dash. It's the closest way to simulate what he's meant to do without giving him just full contact damage everywhere. Kinda like Super Guts Man is in this channel's other videos actually.
Good ideas here, nice work! 😄👍 Better idea: After Centaur Flash, but before he fires, he teleports behind the enemy, THEN fires. If there are multiple enemies, he'll go for whoever did the most damage to him in the last 5 seconds. He'll also use Centaur Flash after the enemy lands from a jump before teleporting behind them. He also has a 50/50 chance to use Centaur Flash after taking damage.

mm6 masters are really bad in this thanks to how long it takes for most of them to use attacks or even move around I imagine his warping and Centaur Flash would come in handy in a Battle Royale though
It attacks real slow. In a battle royale the time it would take for the one bullet to travel all the way to the edge and bounce would be a disadvantage in larger stages. On less flat stages it hits an obstacle and bounces early missing many of the combatants. I'd still watch for sure but I'm not sold centaur man would be much else than a damage sponge in real terms.

Yeah I didn't see Centaur Man doing too well here. A lot of the Mega Man 6 bosses are... quite easy. Of course that doesn't necessarily always come over when you're pitting AI against AI but still. Centaur Man is definitely interesting, though. Time Freezing, a spread shot, and being able to just flat-out turn invisible. Air Man/Metal Man: Why does this dude keep trying to telefrag me? And yeah I kinda figured that he would beat Guts Man, since Gutsman is A. Tall enough to get hit by the initial shot of his attack, and B. Will sometimes just not attack for a long long time.
Despite not being good, Centaur Man has the tools to give the mighty Air Man trouble, mainly due to his teleportation. Air Man's tornado priority combined with its pushback make AirMan prohibitively hard to hit. But CentaurMan being able to teleport behind both lets him dodge AirMan's attack while getting inside his defenses at the same time. Also, AirMan can't spam tornadoes while frozen, which creates another opening.
Aquí el problema es que Centaur Man se beneficia mucho de hacer daño por contacto, ya sea al correr o al aparecer encima del enemigo, al no existir daño por contacto, el pobre Centaur Man no tiene mucho que hacer mas que disparar

But CentaurMan being able to teleport behind both lets him dodge AirMan's attack while getting inside his defenses at the same time.
Also, AirMan can't spam tornadoes while frozen, which creates another opening.
They do more DMG touching MegaMan than there weapons
Clashman takes no damage. The beast lol
Guts would probably win if he was a bit smaller. He got hit so many times on the ground, while the other robot masters being under the shot !
Technically... shouldn't Centaur Man's "Centaur Flash" damage Quick Man in a similar manner to Flash Man's "Time Stopper"?
@bardinblue9830 If Quick man can damage by freeze, I think it's limited to fights without damage fixation B^D
centaur man attacks: flash, shoot, and walk
Centaur Man seems to have a very low fire rate compared to the other robot masters making his overall dps a lot lower.

Seems Like You Like MM6 Robot Masters, But I Like MM4 and MM5 Robot Masters
@BlueTheMusicianBlob hi B^D. In order to hold leagues, the current robots are biased towards MM2 and 6, but don't worry, little by little making other series 8-)
@@MegaMan-Victory alright, also i am a bit nervous to ask you something
@BlueTheMusicianBlob I have many misunderstandings, but ask me anything! B^D. always look forward to your comments 8-)
@@MegaMan-Victory Okay Umm, Do you Plan to Create Ds Server?
@BlueTheMusicianBlob oh, discord? I don't plan to create 8-). It sounds like fun, but I won't be able to join much B^D
I don't understand.
Centaur man is really weak compared to his comrades
Conclusão o centauro é fraco tanto q no.jogo dele é a primeira arma q vc pega😂😂😂😂
ガッツマン弱いな…攻撃回数が少ないのが原因か…
大概の奴に立ち状態でかわせるケンタウロスマンのショット当たるしな…
He's worthless
But he looks cool.
@@Spoonky92 very, if any 6 RM was to return, it should be him. But here, he's useless
But he has four legs!!!!!!!
Crash Man is too short for him to get hit.
