  • Welcome to Nelson Soapery.
    Today im showing you how i make my lip balms from scratch.
    When i first started making them i found that some times they were to hard and some times they did not hold their firmness so after so much testing i am really happy with this formular so i hope you love it to.
    I do suggest keeping it the same if you want it to perform the right way.

    Hi! Thank you so much for the tutorial and recipe! I have tried sooooo many different recipes and they just were greasy greasy greasy. Yuck! When the grease wore off your lips end up feeling more chapped than when you started. Yours on the other hand was so like Burt’s bees in firmness and how long it lasted. Great product! Even my 17 year old grand daughter loved how it felt and she’s really picky. So when she said she liked it I was instantly impressed.

    Your video for this recipe shows you using 30g of Jojoba Oil, with 3G Vitamin E mixed in. But in your video description it is written 10g of Coconut Oil (no Jojoba listed). Which is it? Or are you consciously offering us two recipes? Thanks for your generosity. Just trying to understand what template you are using. Thanks.

      I’m not sure what you mean. If you see the description recipe as I often will make small tweaks. I have a much newer better lip balm recipe so check that out

     @Nelson Interior Soapery are you saying to Rosa Jones below, to use 45 grams of beeswax instead of the 70 grams in this same video recipe? Thank you.

      Yes that’s right. It works eaither way but the 45 grams in a smoother balm

    Hello again. I rushed to the store to get organic unrefined RAW shea butter that is what they had that was unrefined when I opened it up it smelled a lot and not good at all.
    It is not supposed to be Raw shea butter right? Thank you again for your help 🙏

      I use unrefined and it does have a slight smell of nutty but it goes away once opened.

  • @divabarrie08

    I have a question for you obviously cocoa butter has a smell of chocolate. How do you dye that smell down when using fragrance oils for lip balms. I feel like I’m wasting all the fragrance oil as it is not cheep. Because the chocolate smells from the cocoa butter is making my fragrance smells like nothing and that all I smell is chocolate how I fix this problem.

    • @NelsonInteriorSoapery
      @NelsonInteriorSoapery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ve never had that issue but play around with the recipe, you can remove the cocoa if you want and add a tiny bit of another butter like mango buttter.

    • @divabarrie08
      @divabarrie08 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NelsonInteriorSoapery I am allergic to mango and so is a lot of my family members. And the recipe I am using is good. It is just that is does not matter what fragrance oils I use all I smell is chocolate from the cocoa butter. I want to use that butter but I want to smell the fragrance oil and not the butter. What other butters that is the same as cocoa butter. But is not mango butter.

    • @NelsonInteriorSoapery
      @NelsonInteriorSoapery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@divabarrie08 you can use refined and there should be no smell. Once it goes through the process it should be fine

      If I take out the cocoa butter and use Shea will it make a recipe to soft as the cocoa butter is a bearded butter.
