Can we all take a moment to acknowledge how great Yuyu's insert song is? i believe they absolutely nailed the energy needed for a passionate main character like him, and it makes the fight's climax all that much better!
Taizo is voiced by one of my favourite VAs at Bushiroad, with his really cheerful energy.I'm sure he had a blast yelling "CEO AUTHORITY!" and acting like his Vanguard, a technologically advanced Demon Lord CEO who's fortress is his company. I really hope we see more of him in this season as he has a really likeable personality.
Raika being a major fan of Michiru is pretty hilarious. I feel bad for Taizo, even though he gave it his all in the fight against Yu-yu but I get a feeling we'll be seeing him again.
I really hope they continue making episodes with full games like this. The battle was pretty epic, and took me back to the excitement of the fights of the original series.
Depends , some episodes dont need full fights they need character development but what they could do is one episode of character development when that is needed and next episode full fight, i mean the Urara character intrduction was a good episode and didn’t had a big fight

When I think I finally think they made the best episode they go beyond. First half was so heartwhelming like they throw a mini party, Raika fanboying, talk with Taizo, why Taizo had to win and his strugle of it then second half like... I dont know how to express it tbh. Seeing Yuyu thought about plan against his deck, Taizo turning those expectations like woah for a moment I wasnt sure who was gonna win in the end. This episode has anything I could ask for. And lastly wonder what that Tazio in flame was about and what Michiru said to Yuyu. Sorry that I made wall of text and ım glad if you read until now. I really love it so I cant contain my excitment!
in this episode we can actually see tha Nirvana and Blitz has similar battle strategy (4x attack, retiring RGs, big power), the deciding factor being Jheva has an excellent recovery ability
They really use the word "GOAT" in this episode. I can't... 😂😂😂😂 Not gonna lie, I really love that Nirvana got some love. In overDress, Nirvana is mostly idle or flying, and Vairina gets the most attention in the animation department, contrast to most ridelines. This episode however, Nirvana is receiving damage and attacking, and I hope this will continue.
I wish we had more episodes so we can get more semi filler episodes where we get to spend more time with each of the characters and properly introduce the new characters. I wish we got to see more preparation episodes and more pre tourney fights.
Ahhh as much as I want Taizo to win after last episode it's definitely going to be yu-yu. I really do hope Taizo will be a main stay since he's been such a delight this season.

One of the weirdest match where no criticals were drawn. Irl, Welstra deck only needs to draw 1 crit to screw Xoverdress deck. It's kinda weird, but it seems they tried to revive PSYqualia
I'm excited to see the new X-overDress cards get animated. But I'm sad that there will be some ridelines that won't get animated. Hopefully, the heroes ridelines gets at least 3 seconds of screentime, same goes to the new Lyrical Monasterio rideline.

Pretty sure this is the first episode that shows a huge being like nirvana being swatted around. Usually it’s vairina that’s animated battling the enemy vg
Oof late for my analysis but here I am! :D. Anyways a good episode having some good moments with our main crew especially with Megumi who has been slowly working on her personality to be more assertive and energetic among the group, I love these little things with side characters like they have their own story and reason for why they fight, feels more natural really. The main fight was a banger I love seeing more detail in the units themselves seeing how they move and react to attacks especially the impact, like you wouldn't expect the CEO to just body a large dragon but sure enough it does, and I love the new Nirvana having more movement compared to its older counterpart who simply flew around in the air, overall a solid episode well done bushiroad.
also predictible, MC gonna win. Too bad for his opponent looks like a cool guy, but will no logner feel like a threat, possibly losing all his onscreen matches, after this oen with YUYU.

Its a tournament so its normal but next episode will be more focused in the characters this time . Since they do have lives its not Vanguard 24 hours per day

OK this episode was decent. The fight with Yu-yu and Taizo was predictable on who would win and it's an obvious step down from the last fight. But this episode has it's highlights. This episode shows why Taizo is in the competition and eventhough he lost Taizo was still fine with it, after the last episode I expected him to have a breakdown after losing to Yu-yu but that didn't happen I guess Yu-yu has influenced Taizo a bit. Also this episode shows Raika's soft spot for Michiru which is probably his redeeming quality as a character. As for those who qualified I'm glad Megumi managed to get in along with an unknown character while the rest of the finalists are as expected. Overall a decent episode and the next one is a filler episode so there would be a lot of exposition. There is any flaws in this episode, it's that the episode reminded me that Urara DIDN'T lose yet eventhough she's a BEGINNER. I swear that if she still has that win streak at the end of the season then she would probably be the worst female character in Vanguard for me.

Aside from the other winner for Block C my prediction was correct, not that it means anything since it was probably obvious. First off Raika and Michiru's conversation, I'm pretty sure Michiru does not remember Raika in the slightest, Second Taizo is a pretty chill dude, and his cardfight against Yuyu was awesome, you can really see how desperate he was throughout the fight, of course if you get rejected once doesn't mean that you should give up the idea, and Third Michiru and Yuyu's conversation, what does he mean by star? Overall good episode.
The cardfight between Taizo and Yu-Yu is brilliant and how Bram Vairana flies to the top and helps Yu-Yu reach the Knockout Stage. Now Michiru meets Yu-Yu in person for the first time and imagines he challenges him to a Cardfight next. Also, Tomari is back to being an announcer once again in a drift.
The irony is when a nation in the anime does not even have 1 representative in top 8, but in real life they are constant pain in the ass to beat in competitive level.
it doesn't matter if a character is an established pro, you know if they are playing brandt gate it means they A) mean very little to the story and B) are going to lose pretty much every plot-relevant game they play. love it!

What I don’t understand is why Adults treat Vanguard as worthless in this anime, considering they have pro-leagues and rich Vanguard players in canon, so wouldn’t Vanguard be a profitable business to venture into?

This tournament is so far good but I am little dissapointed. I mean they introduced some new characters and so far we didn't see them in action. Here I though those front fighters will have more screentime.

My headcanon is that OT’s were banned for this tournament until proven otherwise :3. But I feel the fights are better for not having OT’s. Almost like the writers are acknowledging they were a bad idea.

Great fight between Yu-Yu and Taizo! I'm glad to see Yu-Yu rebound after his loss to Raika and make into the finals. A shame Taizo won't be included, but I hope this isn't the last we see from his character. And I see they're keeping the Danji/Megumi ship alive by pointing out how much Megumi is turning into Danji lol.
It sucks we never got to see the dad fight or the lyrical player fight, feels like a missed opportunity. Also its just super funny how it feels like all of Ceo's reguards are just vanillas.

I think Taizo tried guarding Nirvana because he didn’t have enough for Bram. Judging from his hand at 4 cards at the start of Yu-Yu’s turn, we knew 1 was the draw. Considering he guards Nirvana for 10 he either dropped the draw or 2 5ks, and we can assume he didn’t have any other triggers. If yuyu didn’t hit a trigger Taizo could have safely taken Bram and (presumably) have guarded the 18k Galondight

I do wish they would do more world-building in Vanguard. *sigh* sadly they seem to always low bar it nowadays and prefer just to use the anime for marketing.🙄😒
This tournament is so far good but I am little dissapointed. I mean they introduced some new characters and so far we didn't see them in action. Here I though those front fighters will have more screentime.

What I've been realising is that throughout the tourney it's as though non of the people use OT in their decks
My headcanon is that OT’s were banned for this tournament until proven otherwise :3. But I feel the fights are better for not having OT’s. Almost like the writers are acknowledging they were a bad idea.

Great fight between Yu-Yu and Taizo! I'm glad to see Yu-Yu rebound after his loss to Raika and make into the finals. A shame Taizo won't be included, but I hope this isn't the last we see from his character. And I see they're keeping the Danji/Megumi ship alive by pointing out how much Megumi is turning into Danji lol.

I think Taizo tried guarding Nirvana because he didn’t have enough for Bram. Judging from his hand at 4 cards at the start of Yu-Yu’s turn, we knew 1 was the draw. Considering he guards Nirvana for 10 he either dropped the draw or 2 5ks, and we can assume he didn’t have any other triggers. If yuyu didn’t hit a trigger Taizo could have safely taken Bram and (presumably) have guarded the 18k Galondight
