@@KristenMosca wow, not intentional? That's even funnier! BTW, how much of the entertainer do you hate? As a kid LOVED the first part. The second part kind of fit well. But I always the thought after the repeat of the first things kind of took a turn for the worse. Any possibility of doing maybe just the first half (or 5/9) of the song? Also, I feel the whole fake Entertainer thing would have been even funnier two days earlier than the posted date on this video.

I love your channel and have recommended it to everyone I know. When I was younger, now 74, I would walk to ragtime music as my exercise. I loved it, and felt so uplifted when I was done! It's just happy music and I wish I still had the knees to keep up with it now. Keep up the good work and music!
I used to play Entertainer ... and I agree with you. Favorite ragtime = EVERYTHING ELSE.

Love to see/hear you play Joplin. I played ragtime piano in a South Florida Ice Cream Parlor over 40 yeas ago and had half a dozen rags under my fingers then. I used to hate to have people say "Play the Sting". My fingers are a bit stiff these days but still love the rags, even though I miss a few notes. Thanks for keeping a great tradition alive and well.

We all have our ways of filling our days during this time. I had a package arrive from Wicks Aircraft and Motorsport today. It contained the bolts I needed to attach the brake drums to the wheels of the small plane I am building. You would be surprised at the number of aircraft hangers where music from the 20s to 40s are playing all the time. Thank you hon, you help us all.

Werewrym Kristen is fully capable of transforming any Disney song into an amazing ragtime piece! Touch the Sky might be extra challenging since it’s in compound time and ragtime is usually a strict 4/4 time though...

The pixilation seen at several points in your video... I too have had (yes, past tense) this in some of my videos. If you are recording with AVCHD and using FCPX, the problem is FCPX no longer supports AVCHD. HERE is the workaround: Get EDITREADY (its inexpensive) (and no, I get no kickback from this), run your AVCHD footage thru it then import into FCPX. Or swap out your AVCHD cameras to a non-AVCHD or as many are a few keystrokes ahead of me… buy Adobe Premier Pro.

I really enjoy most of your music. And I understand your dislike for 'the entertainer'. I was a teen when the movie 'the sting' came out, and they played that song on the radio incessantly, until I couldn't stand it anymore. However..... do you know 'I'll see you in my dreams'? I had the luck to hear Dick Hyman play it live, once and it's been a favorite of mine ever since. So I wonder what you would do with it. Stay upbeat, Kristen, don't let the quarantine get you down. Play with your pups; I'm sure they love that you're home with them a lot right now.

I've been listening to your music since finding you on TH-cam almost five years ago. It goes without saying
that your playing is spectacular and so soothing to the soul. In your video "Quarantine" video of 3 April you
asked for suggestions of ragtime pieces that you might record for other videos. That in fact, is why I'm
sending you this note. I have two pieces in mind which you also may enjoy.
1. "Going South Rag" composed in 1914 by Will Reilly and Palmer Jones. The best version is on TH-cam as
prepared by RagtimeDorianHenry. Also there, is the sheet music as well.
2. "Song of India" composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The best version I've found is also on TH-cam, and
is listed as an Ampico player piano roll. I'm not sure if it's a true ragtime piece, but it sure does sound great.
Should you have time to learn these pieces, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. By the way your
"Quarantine Rag" is wonderful and a great addition to my collection.

I just have to complement you because I’m a piano teacher here in Burlingame California I came across your site when I was teaching right time to my Boy students I have several of them now that are doing quite a bit of ragtime and I always like to go to TH-cam and find somebody playing the song so they could hear it and there you were!
So I want to tell you how much I enjoy your side and I was showing it to one of my little boys who seventh Place extremely well and I said look at this she’s actually producing her music! And his little eyes just lit up! So I have to think of some thing that you could make an arrangement of I have boys doing Pirates of the Caribbean my girls are very much into Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast....but I have a smattering of all types of different types of piano playing students! So, I think you should make an arrangement that would be fitting for Kiddies Playing The Piano!” You could mix up all different genres of music into one composition and make it sound like a piano lesson or a piano practice! It’s a wonderful woman by the name of Eugeine Rochelle and she wrote a lovely piece called Mother Goose! And she does an array of children’s nursery rhymes cleverly written all through the Composition....quite clever and I think you’d enjoy it also! Continue on you’re so talented and very gifted and I now will resort to sending your site to a lot of my students because I think they would love it and love to hear you perform! Thank You! Dimitria

I got a challenge for you - Hellfire Ragtime. Or you could do a Hunchback of Notre Dame medley which would give you one freebie. Bells of Notre Dame seems like it would be easier to ragtimify than most of the other songs from the movie as it already has a hop in the tune.
