Now Vergil somehow has survived his "death" in DMC 1 as Nelo Angelo. So now, to bring back his full power, he'll need whatever power is stored inside Devil Bringer and Yamato. I also think that Vergil conceived Nero not only to show the Order of the Sword the power of a real Son of Sparda but also as a contingency plan if something should go wrong during his search for power.
If you slow down the DMC5 trailer and increase constrast a bit you can see the figure that took neros arm was wearing vergil's clothing. My theory is that, the figure is actually nero's mom who prob only went with vergil to get power but when vergil learnt she was pregnant he bailed. After she learnt that nero recovered the yamato her thirst for power only increases. As she is so obsessed with vergil she wore his clothing and went after nero.

I always thought nero was dantes son and somehow he got an augmentation surgery from the church that gave him the arm of virgil and since hes got dantes blood and virgils arm he can manifest virgil after he was dealt a mortal wound it awoke his demonic gift. Since the arm was the owner of the sword it was able to call it. Without the arm i dont imagine he will have a devil trigger anymore. Idk what to expect the reason for taking the arm from him will be in the new game. Im excited to get my hands on it. I always thought nero was dantes son and somehow he got an augmentation surgery from the church that gave him the arm of virgil and since hes got dantes blood and virgils arm he can manifest virgil after he was dealt a mortal wound it awoke his demonic gift. Since the arm was the owner of the sword it was able to call it. Without the arm i dont imagine he will have a devil trigger anymore. Idk what to expect the reason for taking the arm from him will be in the new game. Im excited to get my hands on it. Honestly tho with everyone suggesting hes virgils son he does look more like virgil than dante but seems more likely that dante would have a child imo
I've played all of them but DMC5 I'm starting to get the story more dante can use yamato as well he shows he can use it as well in dmc4 when he fights the saviour its still hard to say I think he is dante's child there is still some sexy shit between Trish and Dante yo
