Fairly new viewer, here. I ran across your debates with Hovind and Peterson and OMG-how soul draining it must have been to sit there and try to make sense of things with those brainless idiots! It's like beating a dead dog. I feel for you! Thanks for doing that! I was exhausted at the end, too!
In mammals, does tissue maintenance always induce replication of progenitor cells? Or do old cells in surrounding tissue sometimes divide to fill the gap?
Long weekend and I decided to jus listen to Dr. Dave as an attempt to get ahead on my BIO 151 class. But wtf 🤯?! We covered plant life cycles thinking that was complex. Now Porifera and Cnidaria have me like sir I’m a ED Tech, we deal with HUMANS. For the love of all that normally makes sense with nuances here and there, SPEAK HUMAN! Honestly Doc, how many time am I going to have to watch this before it starts to stay in my brain long enough for me to understand because I have no clue what you’re talking about and I’m sure you’re making this up 😩🤣Glad I chose to get a head start on this😫 Thanks for the vids Doc. Not sure where to go swimming from now on tho 🤷🏾♂️
Hello prof Dave i love your video. I wanna ask something, i am sorry but this out of topic. So recently someone that i know said that gravity is 4 dimension thing. This person's rationale is that gravity is capable of warping space and time. and he thinks space and time are 4 dimensional so he concludes that gravity is a 4 dimensional thing. is this true prof?. Sorry for my bad english
I understood everything up until the end when you showed different species/genus of Hydrozoans. It seems like they take the forms of Medusae and Polyps in such different manners and variations, how do you know what is a Hydrozoan and what isnt a Hydrozoan? What really are the defining features? pls reply I have an exam in like 14 hours LOL
You are helping me, as an adult, remember high school. Thank you Prof Dave!
1:00 HAIL HYDRA! Cut Off One Head, Two More Shall Take its Place.
So, I guess, getting old and dying was a gained payoff that was worth it in exchange for all the cool stuff more complex animals can do?
Thank you for including the fact that freshwater jellyfish are now invasive !
7:43 You're joking lmao
This series just got a lot better
Oh wow, I thought the class hydroza are just plant shaped animals that only act like plants! That's cool, they have more than that
7:42 Ha! Didn't know about that one! 🍝
Thank you so much for the Cnidarian love.

Isn’t that from south park. When they were explaining Scientology and faith??? That 💩 was hilariously true
Professor Dave you're just helping me to pass my high school!

1:23 wait, wait, wait, wait, _wait:_ they can _float_ on their own farts?
Siphonophores be like: don't Easter your time developing organs, became one!
Fascinating series.
delightful video
Keep it ip 👍👍
Great video! How does Hydra stem cells avoid driver mutations during DNA-synthesis and cell division?
In mammals, does tissue maintenance always induce replication of progenitor cells? Or do old cells in surrounding tissue sometimes divide to fill the gap?
Very cool - I didn't know there was a real FSM.
Amazing
Professor Dave can do you a video about Phylum Echinodermata
I will hit every single phylum!
Thank you.
The oceans...where the invertebrates are king. So alien, so beautiful.
He is so cool
Very interesting.
This is criminal that you don’t have more likes in ratio to views
These are so cool

Wondering if you could add "Reality Shifting" to your debunk list
Good video i can now finish my presentation.
I'm just curious; how did your presentation go?
@@PunmasterSTP i did my part okay i was to lazy to go deeper into talking but i got a 3 in biology so that's nice.
@@darfdercamman18spielenkomm60 I gotcha, and I definitely remember those days! I'm glad to hear you got a good grade.
@@PunmasterSTP Thanks.

Out of curiosity are you skipping comb jellies? They're a weird group so I would understand.
No I'm hitting everything.
"Not all corals all corals"...O_O
thanks!
I know you're not interested in this whole flat earth thing any longer but I found a compromise: earth is an inflated disc.
Why are you scared to say spherical?
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that these videos are...hydrozoamazing!
Well, maybe not a lot of people, since my puns are very lame. 😀
hydrozoans are cool, they can resemble jellyfish or coral but are neither.
Looks very similar to that thing that's in the [//////]REDACTED
Good luck
Reproducing through sex, but only when stressed. Interesting. ;-)
Great work, as always, Professor Dave!
Takes their little minds off of their problems for a while
please make dark mode videos
This doesn't seem like it can only move forward. 0/10, not rumbling.
wut
@@ProfessorDaveExplains a dumb meme because of the thumbnail.
Nice vid btw
Now if you could explain why the hydra is in vaccine that would be great.
Um, what?
🤯
Hail Hydra
Lot of weirdos on this planet
