I don’t understand all the hate on Adam in the comments on these videos. Adam and Jamie are both very smart and very talented people. They just come from different walks of life which has given them different experiences and lead to them having different ways to find solutions. When Jamie was brought on to host the show he didn’t feel like he had enough energy/charisma to carry the show on his own and felt that Adam (someone he had worked with before) would make a great co-host for the show. The show succeeded in many ways because they both had different solutions to the topics at hand and either combined both solutions into the perfect solution or we got to see two different methods go head to head. Ultimately this is why the show was so great at being a stepping stone into science and engineering… there’s many ways to approach a problem, but it’s often best to work together and find a solution together. But it’s also important to realize when the other guy has a better solution and you help them out. Both Adam and Jamie have given up on their own solutions to help the other with theirs when they realized their plan wasn’t going to work. Adam is still a kid at heart. He is a huge nerd and gets involved in fandoms. He collects props/memorabilia and even makes his own props for his own enjoyment. He enjoys learning new things, cosplaying and getting into a character. These are all qualities that make him a great person to host a show. Especially a show that can get younger generations into science and engineering. Jamie on the other hand is a bit of a master of all trades. He has spent years learning different things and working in so many different industries that he brings a huge level of knowledge to the table that many others simply can’t match. He can be level headed, a great teacher, calm, cool and collected… but he can also be condescending and blunt with others. Sometimes that can rub people the wrong way even if Jamie had no ill intentions with his words. Jamie likes to take things slow and come up with a plan over time. Allowing him to hopefully eliminate points of friction in a design and limit any waste in time and material. Adam likes to dive in and make proof of concept builds. Using trial and error to find the issues in his designs and make solutions. This approach is often faster but can lead to more wasted materials and a lot of failures. These differences in approaches are often why they both butt heads. But it boils down to how they operate. Adam is more hands on. Having a drawing and/or long drawn out plan can be confusing and become overwhelming. The “Go Fast” hands on approach that Adam uses helps him feel and visualize his ideas in the physical world. This lets him trouble shoot faster and come up with solutions quicker. Jamie doesn’t struggle with designing things on paper first and prefers to be a little more methodical with his approach. Neither method is wrong… they each have a preferred method of working and coming up with solutions. All and all this show was successful because of their characteristics. They each brought something to the table that appealed to different people which made the show enjoyable to a much wider audience. Each of them brought strengthens to the table that were a weakness for the other party. This gave them an ability to adapt and overcome nearly any challenge that came their way. They didn’t always get along unfortunately… well they respected each other and cared about each other… their relationship was more professional than friendship. But the truth is they never needed to be friends to make the show work. This is also why the build team was such a great addition to the show. Tory, Kari and Grant were all very intelligent. They each had strengths and weaknesses but together they could overcome basically anything. Mythbusters inspired generations of people to go into STEM education. They have become some of the best science communicators and educators of the modern era. Adam, Jamie, Tory, Kari and Grant are The Mythbusters. Plain and simple.
B-team (Grant, Kari, Tory) were real good addition, but I personally liked those rare moments when Jamie explained his method of tackling a challenge or science behind whatever weird thing they are doing. Herding cats and cabin fever give good examples of plan being explained and then executed.
Thanks for uploading these specials, I’ve always wondered where the footage of Jaime with corn snakes was from. Really hoping we get the shark week specials!
Maybe, but it is tempered with knowledge and self-awareness. Bringing him in as co-host was good idea as Hyneman alone would not have carried the show for long. His expertise is undeniable, but his presentation is kind of dull and snarky.
It would not surprise me if is on the autism spectrum, there are signs. And of course he just likes Adam to endure a bit of pain for all his silliness.. :-P But I think that is normal if you work with a joker like that. And that being the Joker and Prankster in my workplace... xD Nothing more fun if something backfires on you, and all have a good laugh. 🙂
bruh Adam could have left at any moment. If you sign up yourself knowing you're gonna get hurt you can be mad at someone for doing it. "Wow how dare Jamie shoot at me at the 'let's shoot at each other' contest??"
@@sol4925 Oh I don't dispute that Adam could've stopped, but it doesn't change that Jamie really giggles and laughs at someone elses pain, even before Adam starts complaining.
@@Brahlam He certainly is on the spectrum. Is it normal? Is Adam THAT annoying that warrants wanting to HURT him? I don't think so, I think nothing warrants that. Pranking is one thing, but hurting someone AND enjoying it, I don't know.
@@caIigula ehh Adam is always overly dramatic, Jamie not so much and Adam makes little jokes at Jamie's expense very often so its just some comeuppance

19:30 😂😂😂 little corn snake 🐍
At 44.02 theres a cop with a Nokia 3310, probably his most deadly weapon
25:15 - The angel weighs 66.6 ounces 😳🤯😵
Adam saying “I reject your reality and substitute my own” has become apart of my daily vocabulary and I can’t thank him enough for it
they should have redone it but with kari, grant and tori...the same test that would have been a cool follow up
jamie was such a relatable person for me..
Kari. Because
Reason.
When I was young I always rooted for Adam, thinking Jamie was boring, now as a grownup I totally understand Jamie, Adam is too childish.

Little baby man
Little baby baby baby man
Weird, I think I never seen this episode.
17:52 should be giant centipede. Their creepyness is off the chart.
Yea, but they are deadly too
The spider 😰
The tortilla competition wasn't by the rules. It landed inside the paper and fell out after that. Won by Adam.
Adam's was also the only one that was still perfectly intact. Jaimy's was damaged
@@jjochimmwho’s? 😂😂 you mean Jamie’s?
I actually find tarantulas to be quite cute 🕷
Jamie Hyneman is my top from all but they all good
First again lol. Love Mythbusters.❤
damn i only hate daddy longlegs, every other spider is fine, like, theire long legs are so creepy
😂❤😂❤
Is it just me, or is Jamie enjoying hurting someone else a little bit too much?!?

With Savage, it's all drama.
I agree 👍
In case of a contest, the first thing Jamie thinks of is to cheat. A real sociopath.
