Yes, we know and are willing to take that risk for the cause. Just like many social justice movements that came before us, civil disobedience is an important part in pushing for change
Now in all fairness MLK died for the rights and freedoms of black people….and his civil disobedience was met with police VIOLENCE not peaceful arrests….not a good comparison getting out of jail when going in you know that you are safe. I’m sorry I am offended. But I’m sure y’all’s hearts are in the right place smh
Nobody who does civil disobedience knows that they are safe. An animal rights activist was killed by an angry slaughterhouse worker last year in Canada. Another was shot at in Spain. Our activism is peaceful but we can’t control the police if they choose to be violent. It is a risk that we all willingly take for the cause
