My goodness, I've been playing Crash since June, and 100% them all chronologically, and went backwards for all the platnum relics. Tomorrow, I just might finish. One more level, one more platinum relic, and I will finally get everything in the game. See you soon.
13:14 I finally figured out a solid way to not take damage on this. You have to be at the closest edge of the walkway to the screen, so as far from the wall as possible, then jump onto the stairs, run to the right (against the stairs) and when they retract, you'll slide down and dip to the right as soon as you get to the gap. If you're right by the wall, you'll hit the back spikes, but if you're far from the wall, you'll slip down between the big front spike and the stairs, then you can dip back for the time crates. So frustrating.
A small tip that helped me, I left to get all Relics on Crash 2 and 3 with sprint. After finally coming back it felt floaty and slower by comparison, Almost like moving in a very slight slow-mo
12:49 I just figured out an easy way of dodging this hit consistently. While standing on the gray floor, run towards the screen (so Crash runs towards you, the player), zero risk of falling off, as there's an invisible wall. Then fall down the stairs, doesnt matter if they're retracting at that point or not, so no need to time it. But as soon as you fall from the gray floor to the retracting staircase, make Crash run the other way (to the right). Keep him running to the right until he reaches the bottom floor safely. I always manage not to get hit and save the Aku Aku mask!

Ah, I just made it! 3:08. I'm mostly amazed that I made the three bird jump at the end but I was running out of time by the point I approached them and just went for it. Thanks again for the guide, know I'm late on this one but the Crash 1 trials I had saved for a rainy day. Regarding the second scientist I found if you miss the perfect cycle you can still clip the edge of the platform when he throws and will avoid the damage from it. Can sometimes still make it on those cycles.
This video should be a lesson. This can also be applied in real life. Never underestimate yourself. This level is very difficult to get the platinum relic on. But eventually, you will say it WAS a very difficult level. Stormy ascent became one of my favorites. The only main advice is to practice practice practice! Thx for the video!
Finally got it!! I spent 21 hours into this... But I got 2:44:23 (I missed the 2 seconds box at the end lol I just wanted to finish it) thank you! I used some of your advices to make the perfect run
4:20 in here, you can actually wait until the platform reaches the top, make a long jump, and then another to bounce off of the scientist's head to reach the platform, which I find much easier
Tip for 7:31: if you get the 3 cycle (I do wonder if it’s pure luck) but have an Aku-Aku, you can sacrifice him there as I did in my platinum relic run.
7:30 is the bit that always messes me up. I don't know how to consistently hit that cycle. Missing it is something like a 10 second loss. It almost feels random if I make it. Brilliant video though, thanks for making this so concisely.
Even though this was freaking hard, what I had the most trouble with were all the chase levels. I hate not knowing what's coming next and having to have insane reflexes or memorise where all the obstacles are
Loved watching relic runs. Finally got the plat after weeks of playing this god damn level. Easily must of had over a thousand deaths and restarts but finally did it in 2:49:31!

I also suggest if your dying at certain points a lot go and play it through normally and get to the point with a checkpoint your working on and practice it over and over (did it with the top and finally got it)
The hardest part for me are the stairs at 17:30... I can do everything else but stairs just knock me down time after time... I just can't get the timing right.
Do you have any more advice on that first platform that the scientist throws the potion onto? I have spent at least 5 hours failing to get that cycle to allow me through and it's looking like I will have to give uo if I can't get past that thing with any consistency. Have tried multiple methods and it always seems like a crapshoot for it to line up properly. Sometimes it does and that next horizontal platform is moving away too fast to clear. This is the last platinum I need, so I don't really want to give up, but nothing seems to work.

As long as I can get the platinum relic in under 3 minutes and 10 seconds, I’m happy. I don’t care about these bizzare world records whatsoever.
This relic is impossible, I genuinely can’t do it, multiple hours spent trying to get the platinum relic and still can’t. This is the last platinum relic I need in the n sane trilogy but it’s by far the hardest. Finally after multiple hours over multiple days I got a time of 2:49:46, Fuck sake that was by far the hardest ever platinum relic but it’s done. 85/85 platinum relics

I just finished it and I really have to say thank you. I really was struggling with that level. And dear God and heaven, I'm so happy right now.😅
