Well said Baba... kodwa kulendawo othi adoption is western andivumi. Singabantu abantu abamnyama sakhiwe with the spirit of Ubuntu. Ukusukela emandulo ookhokho noomakhulu bethu bebekhulisa abantwana bezizalwane as their own. Umzekelo umama wam une brothers ezingookanina(cousins). Her mom was very poor and her dad died when they were very young. A woman that shares a clan with My mom's mother took my mom and her twin and groomed them as Her and her Husband's children. Everday she speaks of how well the lived and that they were loved and even ended up calling the woman Mama and her children bhuti... I can go on and on.
This went on to my mom giving birth to 4 of us but ending up having more that 15 kids because she took in her brother's and sisters kids. In Xhosa we say UyiNdlezane because she's full of love and have a LOT of kids.
