I want to marry every single person in that room. This is beyond.
This is an example of a live-sound engineer out-doing the studio album version. Good lord, Kevin Suggs, keep doing your thing man!
KEXP has the best engineer in the biz! all their studio recordings are the bees knees!!
seriously what the fuck, suggs is great
gave me goose bumps :O kudos to him indeed.
Except the bass is way to loud........ way loud
Best 👍
The quality of this engineering, the tone on the guitar, his vocal performance, the hip moves, the energy of thon bassist, the twinkle in the drummers eye keep me coming back on at least a weekly basis
as it shoud.
I'm straight, but those hip thrusts make me think unpure thoughts
You still coming back? Song rips. I'm just hearing it now
the hip moves...
Easily one of my top five songs about fuckin' in a graveyard...
The rhythm guitar tone is holy grail material. Sweet non-denominational Jesus...
good ear. I think he's playin an old Guyatone
Gold foil pickups are a gift from god
I can't be the only one that appreciates the shot of his keys swinging to the rhythm of the song.

God, how many times have I hit replay? I don't remember. This really IS a good latte-sippin' jam.
Right? Pretty sure I've listened to this everyday since I heard it 5 years ago...
Badger Poppy? that’s because it is ☕️🍶🫖 but I still like the screaming part
Kudos to the engineers for KEXP - after watching other versions of these guys playing this song this one sonically blows them away. That guitar tone in the intro....man.
The intro gives me all kinds of serotonin kicks! :D
It helps that this is a different drummer. I don't know why, but I like this hillbilly looking dude the most of all the drummers I have seen playing with FJM. He just gives a subtle little more swing to it.
That guitar tone in the intro is what dreams are made of.
Joe Keenan At least for some of us :)
I agree. At least on this version you can understand the words. Others the music is so loud that you can't hear the words to understand what the songs about.
sheryls face was just melted, and she didn't even know how to deal with it.
I've easily watched this 500 times in the past 2 years lol
this is how every rock band should strive to perform...
This is the closest version I've found on here to how they perform it live. It's like he's going through an out-of-body sexual experience onstage. Intense.
"Yes he's going through a out of body experience, back to his home planet, Pluto perhaps? Take Care Friends: 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ®️.
@@growingupwithfloyd2184 HAHA I'll totally agree with that assessment
@@ironmaven1760☆ I was just thinking, then I smelled something burning? Me! Just joking... Your a very beautiful woman if I may say so. Also, I would have never thought you would like the 'Scorpions'. I have a very funny story, and I'll tell it to you if you would like. Just let me know, right? Take Care and Be Well My Dear Friend:🇬🇧🇺🇸 ®️.

I fell in love with Father John Misty's music in the summer of 2016 and I still feel that way 6 years later. He stirs something deep in my soul.
Still can't believe this video is 10 years old. What happened ?
that was overwhelming in so many levels
I could watch this every day and it would never lose its enchantment
best performance of Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings
I love how Cheryl absolutely loves her job. I bet she forgets to pick up her paycheck sometimes
So incredible. I've seen him twice. He's better live than on his albums. Hard to imagine right?
This is an amazing vibe in this live take.
Oh wow I was not expecting that violin. What a perfect song. It makes me feel things no other song makes me feel. Beautiful and harrowing.
lol @ "another latte sippin' jam!" He is THE BEST!
Greatest single KEXP song ever.
best version
yes shake them hips
Iv never wanted to be a tambourine before so bad...
I've listened to this song like 12 times today and it keeps getting better. how is that possible?
Every video I watch of him,I absolutely love-funny,badass and handsome. Can't get enough and I play this song practically every day.
This version is impossible to play 1x and be done with it. 👏🏽 best 👏🏽 one 👏🏽 ever!!!
After months, still my favorite video on TH-cam.
Holy hell FJM you encapsulate so many of my favourite qualities. Plus yous a hunk.
could listen to this 10x straight
A better video than the official version, by far.
lost my dad in 2021 this song really helped me deal with grief... alot..
I dont think it gets better than this. Fing WOW!
God damm it. This is my favorite version of this song. Kevin can I buy you a beer?
That guitar whirring makes my life complete 🎸
This is so good. I can't deal.
Incredible version
Late to the party. Just found this song, this band. Nice.
One of the most epic thing I've heard
Forever in love with this performance
Listen to Latte sip and jam over n over probably over 10x… having a small rage moment- ( good or bad) this is my jam. Fuk another cancellation … Thank you Cheryl
Earworming on this all day ... I just had to have a hit. But I can quit any time. Rly.
+Chris Cornuelle By Azura it's good. (Don't care if your comment is a year old)
The sound is so good! Props to Kevin Suggs!!
The t-shirt too good doe. Legalize LSD
Totally random auto play(which I never usually use) selection from TH-cam's algorithm, and I'm happy they did, cuz I love this.
Still blows my mind
Father is dancing. I love it.
Goosebumps
Excellent! Love it! Thank you! Love the music, I give a great thanks to KEXP for the content they provide however, as a Seattle resident my whole life (age 35) I have to ask why so many people with KEXP stickers on their cars in Seattle drive like absolute a**hole*? How do they listen to great music and then want to be sh*tty to the human behind them on the road? Anyway love the tunes!
Cheryl is a sweet heart
wow that was amazing psycadelic bliss
Amazing. Absolutely amazing ❤

Magnifique 🙌
Awesome, thanks for the reply.
I've watched this clip about 100 times and a tenth of those views my attention is averted from the awesome sound to dudes wacky dancing which is an altogether different kind of awesome
Just found this 8 yrs later and kudos to Kevin Suggs. Jeesh. Would love to know how that bass drum sound was concocted and captured.
I wish Jim Morrison was still around to cover this
Father John Misty rules the world 😎😎😎

Great performance. God bless you Father John MIsty! Let me tell you that you made Elton John's influence alive. Does anyone knows the vintage guitar brand?
Wellse do a version of that song its good very very good
guitar tone is filthy
This is so fucking good!! Jesus Christ said he think it's lit
Check them out. One of the best live concerts I've seen.
Wow. Fucking beautiful.
Best song ever.
honestly he is just so hot omg 🥺😭
it's damn good
It looks like a Star EG-80H from the late 1950s. These were made by Guyatone in Japan. Thing is, Guyatone made guitars for different companies, putting different names on them. So this could be a Guyatone, it could be a Star, or an Antolia, etc. Anyway, go find a pic of an EG-80H, I think you'll notice they are essentially identical to this guitar.
Did you hear that guitar riff? That was soo good.
Yeah totally agree dude
aubrey plaza!!
