I just finished Queen of Shadows today and OMG I absolutely agree. Definitely one of my favorite books ever, I already wish I could read it for the first time again. It had everything I thought Heir of Fire was "lacking" and I gobbled it up. All the characters just clicked for me; I can't wait to get to the other books (but I'm terrified at the same time). Are you doing the tandem read?
