Thank you for sharing! This gives me an idea on what to expect when it's time for me to relocate to Merida.
That’s definitely luxury apartments. Expats who retired in Mexico don’t lay that prices for rent. It’s similar at USA. But they have much cheaper places and good neighborhood. That’s tourist prices
The 1st one was so nice 😮 glad yall thriving can’t wait to see more updates 🎉 congratulations
Thank you Shakia!
Thanks for the tour. I could be happy with any of these! Gives me a great idea of whats available.
Thanks for sharing. This was so informative.
These are really nice❤
Thanks for the video. Those apartments were very nice but a little more than I would like to pay… Just a side comment… The way you are working your camera gives a dizzying effect. It’s tough to watch the whole video without getting dizzy. I would try a different approach.
I have the same problem. A quick fix is the reduce the speed of the video. Works like a charm. 😊
Sorry, I was trying to record them too fast.
Great Job !!!
Thank you!!
I would love this!
Ubers come it’s longer wait early work traffic and late evenings during traffic but they come . You can also schedule a ride . Lately Realtors are saying Ubers don’t come outside of city . You get more for your money outside. It’s also less noisy but depends on what you looking for . You could be living around short term rentals or AirB&B rentals. Many have done this only to move later.
Those are some nice apartments. Thanks for including us in your tours. I keep going back to the question as to how people are able to sustain their lifestyle in Merida. Where are most of the expats working? What are they doing for a living? I have a pretty good job in the USA but this company won’t let me work in Mexico if I got a customer service job that I could work in Mexico remotely, I don’t think I would make as much money. the cost of living in MX may be lower, but then my potential income might be lower.
You’re welcome! Everyone is either working remotely using a VPN, have businesses, are retired, saved up enough to stay for a year, or with companies who allow them to work from anywhere.
these r nice, i see my building :)
Heyyy I stumbled upon your channel by accident, but heyyy. We met at the potluck.
I'm curious about where these apartments are located because they are pretty expensive to compared to the ones I'm seeing on both Facebook marketplace and some of the Spanish-speaking sites.
A lot of the apartments on Marketplace are outside of the city & not close to the shopping centers, restaurants, etc. We don’t plan on getting a car, so it was better for us to find something that’s walkable. Plus we wanted a high rise vibe as well. High rises are outrageous in America, so for us these were affordable. All of these come furnished too.
But yes you can definitely find cheaper places as low as $300 USD. It just depends on your lifestyle.
You didn't show the outside areas. What does the building look like driving into ? What does the neighborhood look like?
ok, thanks. Do you know if there is a bus service from Montebello to Centro and Costco?
Not sure, we use ride service apps like Uber & DiDi to get everywhere
Wow, i did not know apts were so expensive in Merida. Iam sure you could get nice apt. for around $800 and up.
Yes, there are some nice ones in that price range as well.
That’s too expensive, there is way better opportunities. What were your search parameters for these spots? ❤❤❤❤
you should add the locations of the apartments, and bit of context of the surroundings stores schools act
For anyone interested about the locations, you can reach out to Samantha. Her contact info is in the description.
Do the condos have monthly HOA fees like in the states?
They have maintenance fees to upkeep the property
Who is your agent?
Is this complex close to stores hospitals etc?
It’s in walking distance of a shopping complex with a Walmart, plenty of banks, restaurants, and a liquor store. There are a couple of hospitals about 12-14 mins away.
These apartments are tok expensive for Mexico...come on now...they know that the locals can't afford these prices...if I'm going to spend that amount I might as well stay in America
Love to see black people making moves like this! The first spot was a pass but everything after that was ❤🔥although Merida is more of town for couples and old folks🤣🤣 so for singles may not be the best look 🤣🤣😭😭
I've noticed that there are black expats living in Merida. Are you prone to live near other black expats? Will you learn the Spanish language and immerse yourselves in the Mexican traditions? Thx.
Hi! There are a few black expats here, but we are all spread out. Merida has over 1 million people living here, so there isn't 1 community full of black people. We gather together sometimes, but not all the time. We are enrolled in Spanish classes every week, so yes we are definitely learning! 😄We are open to having Mexican friends and immersing ourselves in the traditions. The people here have been so nice to us!
@@tishtrey very cool.😎
