Beastmode has been really transparent with his hours. He said Dan and Atomic consistently put in 60-80 ish hours. However he did say he puts about 50 in consistently which is below average for sure.
heck yea and when pros say hours its usually referring to like the past 2 weeks thing on steam. 50 hours in two weeks when its your job to be the best is insane. Especially beastmode i agree with what jack said. he said Atomic is still playing great and dan is playing good too the only part thats missing is when beastmode looks like hes arguably the best in the world and i agree beastmode looks very human right now when usually well he looks insane.
Ghost hit can happen on both ends, A ghost is is when there is a miscommunication between your client side vs the client side hosting the game. Think of it as a referee in a football match, if I were to handball on my end, but my game doesn't tell the client or server that I handball, the miscommunication occurs and the server then "rolls the dice" on whether I did infact handball or not. It is never always accurate it is just flipping a coin of probability there. It's how developers program these kinds of things. So in short, Atomic case the game determined he hit the ball, but it did not send the signal to the mainframe (host of the game itself) hence why you get a initial wiff with a follow up trail of the player hitting the ball. The game is unable to decide what is right in that moment, so it plays out both outcomes.
Monkeymoons time is over, he is never the best on his team, it was Drali last year and Zen this year. They already lost regional 1 so I’d say KC clears
@renownriverspnw5314 be careful to not overdose on that huge hit of copium. Rocket league isnt a beauty contest, results are what count and MM is the champ and will get the result again
@@renownriverspnw5314 People have been saying that about MM since his first Worlds win and yet he keeps on doing it. 3 Worlds finals, 2 Worlds wins, 3 different rosters. KC definitely look like they have Vitality's number, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Vitality crash out of major 1 and/or 2, then bounce back to win Worlds. It's just what he does.
@nathanswan9534 I think the issue with Atomic was that it wasn't a ghost hit; it was a proper hit. You can even see the trail of the ball change color after his "touch." It's just that he didn't make enough contact, with enough force, at a considerable enough angle - so it didn't matter. So, he effectively missed it. He didn't get screwed, he made an unforced error, which sucks for the otherwise kind lad. I'll caveat this with my admission that my understanding of a LAN setting as it relates to the client/server side isn't at 100%, so if I'm wrong I'm happy to be corrected.
@@gnash.r I can go into detail into the different architectures that exist between clients and servers if that would help...... But I assure you, what I said did make sense. Go ahead and look into anti-cheat architectures and the advantages of server-driven vs client-driven. In rocketleague the server decides everything. In other architectures clients "have more power" meaning they make more of the decisions and the server does more relay of information rather than decisions. I work in programming and the tech field, so I know what I am talking about. I just used colloquial language so the lay-man could understand what I was talking about rather than technical language. Feel free to go do some research about the architectures if you're still confused.
@@AlaReDuS I'd have to go back and look. But my memory of a replay that I watched was that his car phased through the ball a decent amount, but the ball wasn't affected like at all. It might not have been a ghost touch, but the client side touch certainly didn't register like it should have. I could be remembering wrong though.
Man, I hard disagree with the ghost hit take. If it looks like I hit it on my screen, and it shows that I didn't, that's not my fault. From my perspective, I hit the ball. If my screen shows me making contact with the ball, and I don't make contact, what was I supposed to do? Anticipate that I wasn't going to hit it and overcorrect to accurately hit it? If it registered on Atomic's end that he hit the ball, then he did everything right. He and his client operated together perfectly, so if the server registers an issue, then that's an issue with the server. NOT with him or his client. Regardless of what side you take on this, that absolutely should not have happened in a LAN setting. I watched every series live in the crowd. I noticed twice that G2 had ghost touches. I'm not implying anything with mentioning I only saw it happen to G2, but I want to say again that it should never happen on LAN, and I saw it twice. Who knows what would've happened if the system wasn't bugged. Maybe they still would have lost, we will never know. Either way, it never happened before, and it's happening now, even on LAN.
More often than not this is just spectator side only. There have been no complaints from any of the players involved of a ghost touch. He tried for a finesse touch and flipped a microsecond too early, resulting in the whiff.
@Snapey81 the only thing that keeps me feeling like this is the replay analysis. It clearly shows a different touch. I'm not an expert in this, and I know that most aren't, but my eyes don't decieve me on that. Maybe there's a difference between replays and live play, but the replay is showing a hit being rubberbanded back
@@nathanswan9534 Fair enough. For me, you could tell from Atomic's reaction that he knew he messed up. I've also watched Atomic's POV of the whiff multiple times and it simply does not look like a ghost touch or rubberband hit. It just looks like he was trying to soft touch the ball into the corner to grab the boost and counter. 9 times out of 10 he does just that, unfortunately for him this was the exception. As it happens I don't think it affected the result at all, BDS had won the previous two games 4-1 and 5-2 so had all the momentum going into the last game and looked fairly comfortable throughout. They went ahead three times and had the lion share of the possession throughout.
the point wasn't that ghost touches don't suck and he wasn't unlucky. the point was that ghost touches only happen when the ball is on the edge of very slightly touching the car or missing. in the case of what happened at worlds, in that scenario, you would NEVER intentionally try to just skim the ball when you are last back and the ball is heading middle off the corner bounce. NEVER. it was a mistake (bad flip/take off) that led to a ghost touch even being possible, and even if he did get the slight skim there, likely would have had the same result of ball going middle, him being out of position, and the goal being scored. mistake plain and simple
