Unfortunately, I disagree with most of the content of this video. I believe Roger Martin has an infinitely superior concept of strategy versus planning. Much more can be learned from his work in that area. Strategy is not management and STRATEGY IS NOT A PLAN.
I wish this were true. Performing strategy in the way this recommends is a recipe for a lack of progress. It really doesn’t move the needle at all. This is generally why academic information often fails in a real world business environment.
