Can you do a full face of makeup worth the splurge, then one of affordable makeup that gives a beautiful result. I also would love to know what makeup you'd wear if you wanted to look flawless for a special event (perhaps one for day and night). You are always so honest. ❤

Loved this video!! Did you notice if the two powders (Sisley & Westman Atelier) wore differently, or set your makeup for longer? Just curious since you thought they looked similar on first application if one had a better longevity than the other. Maybe that could be a future video - a beauty battle with end of day wear test to see which side of your face did better….putting two luxury foundations against each other or those two powders etc :)

I finally gave in and bought the Sisley concealer, and I love it. My under eyes are super dry, and it’s the only one I’ve found that doesn’t cling to dry patches or settle into my fine lines. I use only the tiniest bit, so it should last a long time.
I use the Chanel Sublimage foundation every day. I mix it with the Purito Bb cream in shade 21 (it has a gray undertone that beautifully shade adjusts whatever it is mixed with and it is nice and creamy so it thins the Chanel out a bit. I also mix in a little dab of Fenty body sauce in Pearl swirl (for a little zing). Once my concoction is made on my palette I might add the Nyx foundation adjuster in white or the RCMA foundation thinner depending on my preference for the day. The Chanel Sublimage is so beautiful. I love it so much. It adds the je ne said quoi to the mix that cant be replicated.
I realize it sounds like a lot. For that price I shouldn’t have to add anything yada yada. But. I am willing to put in the effort each morning because the outcome is so pretty.
i can easily say i’ve never tried any of these products a day in my life, but you know how much i adore you, and i’ve missed your beautiful face soooo much!!! i have always wanted to try the westman atelier contour stick in biscuit. 💗💗💗
Hi Tara! I was going to buy the Chanel Sublimage Le Teint Foundation at Nordstrom, but, the sales rep said that the No.1 De Chanel (which I already have) was way much better.
I recently bought the Chanel foundation and I have to say I really enjoy it. I use a very small amount and I am a combo skin type living in a hot and humid climate...and I didn't love the Chanel No 1....go figure lol
They are very different. It depends what you want in a foundation.
How does the Surratt palette compare to the CT super nudes palette. I have the CT one and it's such a great staple... and the Surratt is giving me similar vibes. Thanks for the video and your overall look is so beautiful.

It is kind of amazing how that eye palette looked meh in the pan but stunning on your eyes!! And now i have to get that pink Jimmy Choo lipstick...i was already going to get one of his glosses...yay to the Choo!! 💕🩷💖

I absolutely love the Sisley Double Tenseur primer and also their concealer. That Sisley primer is my favorite. The Sisley concealer I use when I want a more natural look. The Hermes bronzer is one of my favs also.
I agree about the Hermes bronzer! I bought it after Tara’s video lol. I recently purchased the blush and maybe it’s the shade I got, but I would pass on that one. Bronzer is amazing, blush, not so much! Especially for $80 😬
You can buy the Surratt Eye shadows individually and place them all together in an empty palette for the same money the entire palette costs so IMO it's never out of stock.

Hi Tara, it maybe the sun tan on your face if it cling on certain areas of your face., and not necessarily the other makeup products.

Great video Tara!❤ I never used to wear foundation, just a bit of concealer, bronzer & powder. But bought that Chanel Foundation for a wedding as I had reached my forties and it smelled like skin care and was expensive. But it just sat in fine lines that I didn’t know I had. I have always wanted to try the La Prairie one, Mel Thompson spoke about it but never have. I do absolutely love the Dior Air flash, for summer along, with the Dior Airflash radiance mist primer/setting spray that I also really love and have a couple left. Shame it’s all discontinued!! 😢❤Would love an updated video of Holiday recommendations for hair, spf, skin, makeup etc.
I HATED that Chanel foundation and ended up returning it. My new love is the Revlon illuminance foundation, which cracks me up because I would’ve never considered buying a Revlon foundation before!

You are around my age & your so beautiful girl & your skin is beautiful, I’ve never went out & bought this primer because everyone use to hype up la mer & that was expensive but I didn’t like it on my skin & wasn’t good to me & the smell I didn’t like but I’ve heard that this primer sisly is good… 💜💜💜
Hi Tara Lynn! Thank you for this theme - love it! FYI, Sisley’s Stylo correcteur was designed to mask pimples - on the launch promos, it was specified (and I believe it’s on the product box) that the pen should not be used as under-eye concealer. I did the same as you with the Sisley Double Tenseur primer - I am going to start using it again because it is the best primer. I have many of the products you featured and I agree with your assessments - I thankfully did not purchase the Sublimage foundation, so I have no regrets. I now want to try a Jimmy Choo lipstick. Thank you as well for the close-ups of your eye makeup application - so helpful. Great video!!

Bless your heart! The look is very pretty, but I felt so sorry for you as you struggled to achieve it. When makeup is that expensive, ease should be a part of the experience. Thanks for toughing it out. The only product you tried that I own is the bronzer. I love it, too (Sienna & Colorado). I wanted the darker Chantecaille blush, but when I looked through all of the blush I bought this year, I put myself in a time out for wanting more.

I do love the sublimage foundation and concealer. Funny but I thought your make looked like a rich persons face 😂. I find Chanel products don’t place nice with other brands but work great together. I do love Chanel it has been my current brand to use the full line ..skin care included. Thanks for the video ♥️

Great question 😁 The Smokey brick from VBB doesn't have a shimmer shade like the Beyond Beige. It has a Matte with a little bit of sparkle, but not shimmer. But, I will say, the VBB is more pigmented. It is also a great Palette, one of my fav basic palettes😁 Hope that helps❤️

Westman Atilier contour stick is my absolute favorite. It applies easily and looks really good. The one from Makeup by Mario formula is too dry.
That foundation really was awful. Glad I didn’t buy it before seeing your video.
The make up Mario also jams. Literally all the reviews are regarding the same thing. The stick jams and won’t twist back up

I have that chanel foundation & i love it,it is a lightweight foundation,bc its a thicker creamier texture ur probly not supposed 2 put it on so thick,i think uf u wear without building it up 2 much u would like it better.i have extremely dry skin & i think if u have dehydrated skin & u like a lightweight foundation,its a gr8 choice,alot if people have compared it2 the chantecaille future skin foundation,probly bc thyre both cone in a jar & they're both really expensive,but i do think the chanel is longer wearing than the chantecaille & more hydrating,also wen the Chanel foundation wears off nicer than the chantecaille,bc the chantecaille breaks up around my lower face area as it wears off, whereas the chanel wears off beautifully,so im surprised u dnt like it,but i gess we all have such different skin & different needs in our foundation,but i think the chanel sublimage is 1 of the most beautiful foundations ive ever used.
I agree! I love the Chanel foundation more than my Chantecaille future skin. I also have dry skin and am in my 50s and feel like it works well with all my products (including westman atelier contour stick. Unlike the coverage it provides as long as you don’t apply too much!❤
I tried the Chanel cream foundation, and did not like it at all. I found it too matte, drying, AND had the same problem as you blending blush, and bronzer on top of it.

I have the Chanel sublimage foundation and I quite like it, it's not favourite though. I prefer a very light layer and it's been fine, maybe putting it on top of the Sisley and TF products proved too much for it - it's so sensitive 😂😂

U put way too much Chanel foundation on I believe. The amount you first applied to your right cheek alone would have been sufficient to put on yr entire face IMO.
I'm not against highend and luxury i love it but today was just a bad makeup day....hot mess.

AND being that I'm a vicarious brush addict (ever since rcv'ing your package, I've become 1000% brush obsessed!!!) I'd love it if you could showcase your most lux, most high end brushes (especially eye brushes...my ultimate weakness is eye brushes lol) and/or perhaps doing one half of your face using popular lux bru$hes while the using drug $tore (or maybe lesser known high end brands) for the other half of your face.
