The question is, how do you unlock them as playable characters, esp. in Arcade Mode?
I hate it when people say akuma and oni sucks and say cammy, seth, chun-li, hakan, cody, guy, and fei long are the best characters when that is not really akuma or oni because they are holding back. If only when you select akuma or oni it's their shin version because that is when they try and they are a force to be reckoned with. I like a lot of characters but NEVER underestimate oni and akuma because just be lucky when you play online and you fight akuma or oni and you win, think about what if you fought them again but in there shin form where they are harder and played by a pro player instead of a cpu who can be a bit challenging

1. Shin Gouki since his first appearance in Grand Master Challenge, has the ability to freely fire two Zanku Hadokens at once. 2. Shin Oni's moves has stronger properties compared to his playable counterpart. (Example: Shin Oni's Gohadoken does not dissipate at a certain range.) 3. Shin Gouki's Shin Shun Goku Satsu (Ultra 1) has far stronger properties and damage output than his playable counterpart. The reason that Shin Gouki's Shin Shun Goku Satsu's damage output is seemingly low, it is because Shin Oni's stamina is far higher than his playable counterpart (Shin Oni=1350 stamina/Oni=1000 stamina/Usf4 Oni=950 stamina).

Go to your ssf folder / latest patch and rename the boss's moves to match the normal ones and vice versa.

I never play against bots on hardest. Not because it's too hard, but because they always use the same cheap moves over and over.
