Also he omits that there have been Eurosceptics on the right of the Conservative Party (his natural political home in the UK) since the 1970s. Indeed Bill Cash, one of the OG still sits in the HoC and has been a prominent campaigner for a hard Brexit. He is part of the European Research Group which exists to campaign for Brexit. He and colleagues were a very large thorn in John Major's side as he tried to promote the Maastricht Treaty to the HoC. Major infamously referred to them as 'The Bastards'.

That's his stance that he is allowed to take, just as he is allowed to be a part of the ERG and be a thorn in the side of John Major. Interesting argument. If it wasn't for the fact that the Maastricht Treaty carries the signatures of UK - that makes UK a founding member of the EU - that UK was granted a number of opt-outs (anyone mentioned currency?), that UK was not part of the Schengen area so it could have imposed stricter border checks, that only 2% of the EU laws were voted against by the UK, etc.
It carried the signature of the then Prime Minister John Major, who did so without bothering to consult the people of the UK. He did not bother to consult the people because he knew what they would say - and it wasn't the answer he wanted, as he's an eu fanatic. In fact he lost the argument in the parliament, and forced his will by threatening a vote of no confidence, which could have ended in an election - which many conservative MPs would have lost their seats. A signature is worthless, if it carries no mandate.

They are playing games with peace in NI and expecting the UK to accept being divided, which goes against the protocol which states that UKs sovereignty and integrity as a nation should NOT be compromised and which is why A16 was included. The EU knows this but they know they have the Remainstream media and most of our own establishment on side so they can pump out whatever crap they like about ‘breaking the law’ knowing it will be believed.
