Design 2 is sooooo nice. You’ll get the same look of the copper tub by adding in copper accessories in the fixtures, knobs, etc. You could do shiplap about 4 feet up the wall and paint in a warm, coppery beige color. Then add the tile above that line so you can get a similar effect cheaper. The shiplap will match the farmhouse vibe you have throughout your house. Double vanity increases the resale value of your house, especially considering how small the master bath is. You should stain the vanity the same color as your butcher block countertops in your kitchen. Also you could do simple penny tile on the floor if you want the rug to be the focal point. Make sure the rug is natural fiber like wool or you’ll get must and mildew.
I personally only like claw foot tubs by themselves with a window above. It has always looked weird to me when people try to make them into showers. Also, claw foot tubs weigh a TON so you may have to get your floor reinforced to carry that weight. I do really like the idea of getting rid of the linen closet to make a larger space for a fiberglass tub/tiled shower combo. And I’d do a single vanity (48-60”) to have more counter space. Love the brass- I have brushed brass accents in my master bath and I love it!
He's idea to have the Wedding in back yard !!!!!! Go Marcus !!!! Save the money for Honeymoon 'plus the backyard you said needed to be up graded kill two birds with one stone !!!
Style 2 is EVERYTHING! It gives me the feels lol. I don’t love love the copper tub but I do love the idea of adding copper/brass/gold touches and accents
#2 is elegant and schick. It adds a POP of luxury and it goes with the rest of your beautiful home! BUT I just know that whatever you decide, it's going to be Beautiful!
I love #2...When you showed it I was like wow beautiful. Honestly either way you can't go wrong. I have loved everything you have done. You have great vision to bring things together ❤. Thank you for allowing us to come along in your journey. I always look forward to your videos.
I like option #2 with the herringbone tile and a vanity with double sinks because it just looks more modern. Either way I can’t wait for the video of you renovating it.
I really love the half tile wall with the sink in the first option but I think the herringbone design would look really nice. I also think that the half-wall of tile pulls in the vintage style you’re going but the herringbone would make it feel more updated and modern in a way. What ever one you choose it will be beautiful !
The copper tub is unique, but will you like to see that for the next 10 years. I like both designs number 2 for me. I would incorporate copper in some other way. I think number 2 will allow you to do more in the future. Love how you remodel your home.🌺💐🌹🥀
Style ONE! It's different, and just like white, copper is indeed timeless as well! The white is undeniably beautiful, but the copper version is stunning!
I can't be the only one that LOVES the original retro pink bathroom design. It's gorgeous!! It's very Art deco, Hollywood regency glam design style. I would 100 per cent keep it, but perhaps modernise the existing design. However, I know the design you go with ultimately is going to be fabulous either way ❤🤗
I like Style #2! I think the double vanity is a good idea and would be easy to connect new pipes from the existing pipes for the current sink. The brass feet on the claw foot tub and the brass accessories are a nice touch.
I feel like the copper finish is definitely more of a fad right now. I think white is timeless and very easy on the eye. It draws more light in, and in a bathroom, it makes it feel bigger and cleaner. I would go with a single sink as well, centered between the toilet and wall. the vanity you chose is sooo pretty!!!
I like option # 2 with a double vanity and 1 really nice sink to accommodate the faucet that you bought. It screams elegance. I can't wait to see the finished design.
Hey Kayla, I love both options and they're both beautiful. The copper tub is very taste specific over the white when thinking about resale. I know it's probably way off, but just think about if you're planning for this to be your forever home.
I love option 1 the copper tub is beautiful. But you definitely can’t go wrong with either one. They are both beautiful styles. Also I think you should do the double vanity.❤️
The second board is definitely more modern but I think the more antique board is more your style. I think you'll make the bathroom look great either way! ❤️ I like style #2!
I have a claw foot tub in my home on the second floor that came with my home when we bought it. Love the look but it can be difficult to get in and out of and if kids are taking a bath or a shower I get water on the main floor when they splash around. It is still in the home because it's extremely heavy and I have used that excuse not to get rid of it. In a guest bathroom you may think about it is going to use it...if getting in and out will be a problem. Ours is very high.
I think a double sink would be best for resale! Especially if someone with kids. That would be the shared bathroom. I like both design options, so I’m no help there lol 😂
I vote keep it pink! There’s so many way to add modern touches while keeping the integrity of the home. You could do wallpaper on the upper part of the wall above the tiles. You can add a really cute chandelier! Maybe paint the vanity white or another color. That floor is gorgeous! I say join some old home/mid century model home decor groups on Facebook. I’m in a few, and they have great tips for people who own older homes! My first house was a midcentury modern 50s home that also had two baths with all original details. We made them look super cute with new paint on the walls and updated light fixtures! And then my second home was a 1900 Victorian farmhouse with most original details. So pretty! And my current home is a new construction in GA. I def. Miss the character from my other homes! Older homes have so much character! I say embrace it! But if you are dead set on ripping it out, you can sell the pieces. People pay lots for vintage bathroom and kitchen items. There’s a large market!
I love Style #2 because it’s lighter and brings more style especially with the brass features. 🥰❤️ You can always add pops of color with your rug and accessories!! I agree with Marcus that a single vanity is better!
That herringbone will be bomb and I like design 2 better. Also, I think you should do a two sink vanity. It really works for my kids. I have two kids and they each have their own area in there. If that will be your home when the kiddos start coming it may be a good option to have two sinks. Also you can do two mirrors, two light fixtures...more design options for you. I don't think you'd mind 😁.
Currently renovating my 1929 Tudor :) I love this channel. Girl, get ready for an unreal amount of dust! I had old backsplash taken down in my kitchen months ago and despite covering the doorway, I am still cleaning up the dust. Cover up everything in the vicinity in plastic bc I was not ready for the dust and mess.
Girl!! We have already started & had to stop to go get appropriate supplies! The dust was CRAZY & we didn’t even do too much! Thank you for the tips ❤️
I like the White claw foot tub with a single large sink in the vanity. Keep the closet for the linen. .. just my opinion. I love everything. I’m excited.
So glad to hear you happy about you renovation. I think that 1 sink is great for the guest bathroom also no need to get rid of the linen closet, just make the front in the hallway so you can shorten it and have more space for the tub. Good luck with this project.
My husband and I’s first home had a yellow tub and toilet! The toilet was easy to replace but we didn’t want to rip out that shower/tub! We deglazed and it looked soooooo much better. We sold the home not long after so I dont know how it holds up in the long run but it definitely transformed the space and didn’t break the bank.
Kayla,& Marcus the only thing that I wouldn't change,is the build in linen closet. I also love an claw foot tub too! I agree with one sink for your guest bath room& I choose no# (2) style for claw the foot tub. And,whatever you two guys do will be great!
I *love* the copper tub. The bathroom is getting a warm, safari kind of feel. Love it. Warm and moving toward the less stark trends. I really like it. Go for the single sink with a larger counter.
That's a cool little history lesson about pink bathrooms, thanks for sharing! I think #2 works well as a guest bathroom, but #1 is totally you & would be great as your master.
I am so excited for the bathroom reno yayyyyyy. I think you should definitely get rid of the linen closet and extend it so you can have a nice spa like vibe with the claw foot tub.
I LOVVVVEEEEEEEE bathroom #2. You can do copper fixtures and handles on the vanity since you really love the copper tub. I agree with Marcus its too much
I’m definitely feeling option 1 with the copper tub, it stands out and it’s different, buttttt to be on the safe side, if you over want to change the color scheme in the future, then I would go with option 2
I love herringbone pattern and white tile and the claw foot tub is so classy and also the brass fixtures also the penny tile on the flood with a old world wool carpet would be beautiful
My family and I stayed in an Airbnb over the Christmas holiday, and there was a pink bathroom. I believe the house was built in 1953. I look forward to this whole process.
I don't know if anyone else has already said but I think a trough sink (one long sink with two faucets) might be an interesting option opposed to two sinks if it goes with the style of the bathroom/home. Edit: I really like the claw foot tub with the brass feet and brass fixtures! Pink might be a cute color for the shower curtain and other decor for continuity with the rest of the home and also as a nod to room's history.
I went to go look at a house and the bathroom was pink. And I. Fell. In. Love. Only the tiles were pink, but idk I just felt so safe. However, I do understand that it’s not for everyone🤣
Also, love love love that middle tub vibe. Very Terre cotta, but in a fab way, and I think you're right about going warmer with your room with the colors that you're looking at with Tile, etc.
I’m happy to hear you guys are starting the renovation for the bathroom. No double sinks please. It’s not a master bathroom. Either design y’all choose is going to be nice 😊 your designs are always beautiful. Can’t wait to see it 😊
Hey yall! Which design yall like better? #1 or #2?? Comment down below all ideas :)
#2 for sure
Design 2 gives you both modern and a classic feel
#2 for budget due to upcoming wedding.
@@mlwashington4118 that’s a good point
#2 all the way!

Right! It’s sooo classy!
I love #2!!! Light, airy and clean!! You could go with a double vanity with one sink for more countertop space. Love the tile!!!!
Thanks hun ❤️❤️❤️
I was thinking the same thing about the counter space.
Girl that copper claw foot Tub 🛀 is EVERYTHING

The second style is so much better. That first board is giving me a more cabin feel with the dark color. And second style feels more luxe.
YESSSA to HERRINGBONE 🔥 thinking of that for kitchen backsplash…grew up with a claw foot tub and it gives ELEGANCE ✨ Love the visionssss
Yess! I’m excited about it! Thanks so much hun ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Definitely Style #2. The clawfoot tubs are gorgeous, but the white tub looks so classy and will be add lots of resale value to your home.
Style 2 is EVERYTHING! It gives me the feels lol. I don’t love love the copper tub but I do love the idea of adding copper/brass/gold touches and accents
Both of them would be equally wonderful, I like the second one the most but you know what you like.🙏🏾💖💫💯
This journey is literally my dream!!! Love living vicariously through you! Thanks for the beautiful content!!
Yay!! Thanks boo for tuning in ❤️
I love design #2. I think it would make the space look more spacious, and bright. It looks very elegant.

Oh yea…style number #1 is a VIBE🔥

I like the white tube, yes keep the linen closet,so you can put towel n stuff near.I love action 2

I think a double sink would be best for resale! Especially if someone with kids. That would be the shared bathroom. I like both design options, so I’m no help there lol 😂

@@YoungLadyBusiness you are welcome 🤗. Looking forward to this transformation

Option 2 for sure! I love the design you’ve created. I don’t think there is a need for 2 sinks in the guest bathroom. But of course, it’s up to you.
Thanks love for commenting 🥰

We recently moved into a 50’s home with a pink bathroom. I need to make it work for a while so I am adding black pin strip wallpaper and hoping!
oooo! that sounds cute sis! i'm sure you can pull it off!
Definitely option 2 with the herringbone will be so bomb!!!
The both of them are beautiful ,but design 2 is gorgeous. You can still put pops of copper in your bathroom
i agree! thanks love!
Love option #2. And also white/cream you can play/change with different colors decor for a totally different look.
I like design #2. You also can never go wrong with double vanity
thank you hun!
I like style #2. It’s like a mix between modern and vintage.
I love Style #2 because it’s lighter and brings more style especially with the brass features. 🥰❤️ You can always add pops of color with your rug and accessories!! I agree with Marcus that a single vanity is better!

Great bathroom. The linen closet does give you access to shower and water faucets so make sure you keep some access.
Thanks hun!
I love the herringbone pattern and I am OBSESSED with the copper tub! It brings so much warmth
