    Hello Tanner,
I also have the Vanishing Spray. It is very easy to use, shake it before you use it, once you take the black Cap off, You will see a side of the spray can that will allow you to use it. I also learned this trick too, if you get the spray holder to clip it to the back of your shorts, make sure your shorts are tight so the spray is not flopping around

I keep all my Jerseys in my referee bag, shorts, Socks, whistles, cards, Coins, the fancy referee vanishing spray which I finally figured out how to use. I also keep a trash bag in my referee bag to keep my bag dry, I also keep my first aid kit in my bag.

Great video, I finished my USSF and state courses over the past week or so, and started the test tonight. What level referee are you? (grassroots, regional, etc)

I am only a grassroots referee at the moment, but I hope to obtain my grassroots elite certification soon.
I also hold my Intermediate Referee certification for AYSO, and was setting up my assessments to upgrade for an Advanced Referee certification, but the pandemic started a few weeks before my assessments were scheduled, and I was not able to complete them.

I also keep my headsets in my referee bag. I bought mine for the left ear as I am right handed and it feels weird in my right ear.

Thanks for the video! Where is your mic set from? I also see you mentioned in the comments you were going to update your AYSO badge to advanced, any advice for the intermediate badge class? I will be taking it soon.

      Thanks for the feedback!
I purchased the mic set online. There are a variety of options so I encourage you to look around!
Yes! I am now working on my AYSO National Badge, so I can share some pointers for the intermediate class. I would recommend reading through the Laws of the Game a few times and becoming familiar with some of the unique situations that might come up in your match. When you get your intermediate badge, that is when you are going to start working more challenging and competitive games, so I would also recommend watching professional games and really studying how the referees position themselves, and how they handle the situations they are faced with.
      Hopefully this helps!

What mic set would you say is the best one to get but has a reasonable price?

      Hi Zackary!
I would recommend the MaxQuall headset which you can find on Amazon. This is the set I have.
It has a reasonable price for a three-way and four-way com system. They are very lightweight, and have held up very well for me.
      Hope this helps.

How often do you use your mic packs? Are y’all allowed to have them for normal games? It seems in my area, they are only allowed for High School district, regional, and state championship matches.

    • @tannertrout

      Hi Evan!
I am not sure if there is a rule regarding when you can or cannot use a mic set. I will do some digging, and let you know if I find anything.
I can tell you from personal experience that I have used my mics for boys-19 games, but I had a referee that wanted to use them for a girls-10 game (We used them). I tend only to use the mics when I am working an important match, such as a tournament, or if I am working with a crew that really wants to use them.
      Thanks!
