    Thank you for this video. We received our new one today due to your review. At 5m25s you clearly demonstrate a lime green latch at the end of the hose. Our hose is missing this part. We didn't realize this until we connected the hose and it disconnected then sprung back with force when reaching our curtains. Our hose only has the two small pin hole openings where this locking latch is suppose to in place.
    Just an FYI to others, the hose if it disconnects due to non locking in place or is missing this part, it can spring back with force and potentially hurt someone. Outside of this a superb vacuum, tons of power and easy maneuver. Thoroughly impressed through and through.. great demo!

    This video is the one you want to watch first. I found another that showed how to take the whole thing apart and maybe put it back together. If the brush doesn't turn, it's the brush belt, bearings, motor or switch. This one will show you how to replace the filters and unclog the various pipes and hoses.

    My “brush on” button wouldn’t stay on. Before getting a new blower motor or calling the help line, try tightening the 3 screws that are just behind and under the canister. I tightened it and voila! Saved me some bucks.

      Screaming-Whistle NOISE while vacuuming :( [means Suction Safety-Bypass Valve opened atop cartridge...] = Plugged Hose.
      Got this after going around fireplace (wood chips debris) and doing the house. Squeeeeech !! "Aawwwk!!! F*#%&*%$#*&^!"
      Did not know of this Warning sound. Figured vacuum problem somewhere?
      Cleaned out all Cartridge components (both filters -top+atop motor)...still !
      Checked Roller&Head... looked all clear.... STILL !
      Opening Attachment Door while ON, gave me vacuum; but not as much as usual... so something in the Lower Elbow Hose?
      Had to use a flexible tubing to shove down the Attachment-Door opening.... SURE ENOUGH... A PLUG-UP in the elbow Hose !!!
      Loosening the plug some; exercising that hose WHILE ON, may help to dislodge the plug and suck it into the cartridge.
      No more Whistling :)
      Just have to keep hairpins, wood chips, paper clips from being sucked up (I thought it was Tough Enough, but not).

    Your top twists off easily - ours is so tight, cannot twist it off without feeling like it will break. Still do not have it off to clean filter. Any tips?

    VacBin, the step at 1:34 twist off lid. Every removal is painful to either get unlock and twist or reverse. Always line it up properly, never twists smoothly without struggle. Have cleaned it so its not grit interfering. Pain in the .... Do you recommend some lub on the inside?

    Im actually experiencing the opposite, theres too much suction to the point that it has become extremely difficult to move the machine once powered on due to high suction. Any tips?

    My clog was just below the hose adapter - huge clog - used an opened, twisted, and bent paper clip to try to get it all. Fingers crossed that I got it all. I also inspected both filters. The 2nd filter was white on the top but black on the bottom. This is the charcoal filter I think - so should I replace it?

    Can both filters be washed? You didn't mention anything about washing the first filter, which is the HEPA filter if I'm not mistaken?

    If the brush doesn't spin after trying the brush roll on/off button it may be the belt or the end caps of the brush too. Both are easy to check. The brush should spin freely by hand and the belt should be nice and tight. If it is loose or broken, replace the belt. If the brush does not spin freely by hand, replace the brush

    • @nunyabusiness9308
      @nunyabusiness9308 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found out the high pitched whistle was due to the hose being clogged..I had to take off the hose and use a wire hanger to clean it all out..I was shocked to see all that was stuffed in there! Now the noise is gone and it works good as new again.

    • @jimijam62
      @jimijam62 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's interesting. Mine is brand new out of the box. Whistles loud sometimes. I would hope it is not clogged.

      Hmmm you got me there. I would say maybe just return it for a new one. Mine was so clogged I am surprised it didnt blow up. I paid $5 at a yard sale for it and the kid had a piece of tape over the hole...It was to good of a deal to pass up. So I finally took it apart and figured out the problem. Glad I did because it works better than my Dyson does that is for sure!

    I had my vacuum repaired (something with the handle) and it was returned without the dust cup. Unfortunately. I didn't notice until a month later when I decided to use it. The repair person says he does not have the part at his store. Is it worth the money to buy a new dust cup assembly? My vacuum is exactly like the one in the video.
