    Hi Kelvin, it will be interesting to find out how the profile should change from being single to married. Big expenses like mortgages and potentially car will be brought into considerations, with 2 income sources.

    I believed the emergency fund is for herself and her mother? For me the amount makes sense as there are other variable like her mother expenses, possible medical expenditures and etc.

    Lisa said in her video, that her interest payments only starts in 2024, thats why she is paying only $100 per month and once her interest comes in she will pay in full.

    the obsession about retirement is a big strange.... for most young Singaporeans. YOu have over 20 years of your life to work - its a journey - so spend wisely but live life a little. Enjoy your career - and passions and live life a little.

    • @andylo4516
      @andylo4516 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, for hospitalisation plans, it's best to buy when young before any health issues develop. Once there are health issues, even very minor ones, the insurance companies will take the opportunity to exclude many conditions from coverage or they will increase premiums by a lot.

    I am sorry to say this, but her budgeting structure is absolutely a disaster. If she is striving for capital appreciation and growth, her budget is what you should not be doing.

    IMHO, for hospi insurance, it is OK to fall back to default using MediShield Life, which deducts from MA, so no cash out of wallet....not necessary to stay in "A" Ward like a "king / queen" lol....purpose of hospitalization is to get well & GTFO ASAP anyway lol

    • @Cinimod105
      @Cinimod105 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fair point, but also need to realize that sometimes there are factors out of your control that may force you into unsubsidized treatments, like when there is insufficient beds and your condition requires urgent treatment/hospitalization etc.

    food for $250? abit unrealistic dont you think? That's $8 per day. Where can she eat 3 meals for $8/day without any entertainment budget? she doesnt need google 1 and icloud - abit strange. She seems to be a TV adict that is not into food. - or at least - unhealthy food. Also a short term obsession with $ is also rather unhealthy - you are only young once - spend a little - but work hard to earn a higher salary.
