thanks mate for watching 😊👍 Yeah i don’t think the independent suspension offered a huge advantage. the only thing is you get bearings and a gt tuned motor included with the SH . which would give it sn advantage over a stock hotshot. i really should do a comparison video over winter 😊👍
The OG Hotshot is amazing when you consider its design is from 1985! I have always loved the looks of it definitely my favourite tamiya 4wd! Well love all the shots! Awesome series and all classics in there own right! Great vid Dom enjoyed that mate!

the OG is just ace . new motor and it’s on it 😊👍thanks addam . i might actually do a comparison as the super is a great value kit . fully ball raced , shocks, gt tuned motor and undertray included. 😊👍
I really thought the super-hotshot would have done better. It has full ball bearings, 4 wheel independent suspension and a GT tuned motor over the Hotshot, It was a close race. Never underestimate the underdog.

bottom line is this is 1985. Why trade memories? My 959 would MURDER both, but I don't care. It was a Super Shot, not a super hot shot. I have both, with every other Tamiya build that built on the Hot Shot class. Just wish there was data back then on head-to-head racing, which there is not, and THAT is what bums me out. Nothing beat a Techni-Gold...Hands down, and us "OLD TIMERS" know that...

What a great race and so close. You can really see that great's hard to improve. My guess is on the 4 shock setup and the big skid plate on the Super.

not much difference at all . infact i felt the og handled a little easier … but then i have driven it so much so could just be experience 🤔👍
