I know someone who wanted to be a doctor but she was hesitant to pursue it due to her family’s financial resources so she also took up Business Ad! Thank God things worked out for her and she’s now pursuing medicine kahit na business ang natapos at completely no medical background siya. One year nalang din at gragraduate na! It’s a struggle but she has the best of both worlds. 💕

No wonder you have such a beautiful smile, talagang may pinaghuhugutan. 2. Full of positivity - what is really admirable to Filipinos, in general, that resiliency is ingrained to our souls. In your case, you rise up and took whatever challenges head-on. In whatever tragedies you are faced with, you never gave up, you cried but still managed to give a genuine smile. Really, I cried too when you mentioned about trials involving your youngest sister- losing her at a young age; losing a home to a fire; struggling with college tuition fees due to family's financial struggles; difficulties living in a foreign land alone - with language barriers, being homesick, and everything- it's all getting too much, but you never gave up, never wavered, never lose hope in life's pursuit to your dreams. With a chemical engineering degree and an MBA, I'd think Erica could do more than just work in International Sales. If she is in the US, she would probably be VP by now. But I suppose in Korea there is a glass ceiling for women no matter how well-educated, especially a foreign woman. I am definitely impressed by what she has achieved so far, despite coming from such a humble background. Way to go!! Your family must be so proud of you👍👍👍
Applying for a job and working in US is difficult even if you. Graduated from college and had MBA especially from outside US. There are a lot of Filipinos here in US that came from prestigious universities outside US, but they had to start from scratch. Unless you are a nurse, then things may be different here.
@@bernako1189 your right about being a nurse. My exwife was a nurse from the Philippine got hired by a hospital which led to getting a green card after 5 years of work as an RN. Moved to LA from Illinois because most of her pinay friends who couldn't pass the nursing exam moved to Calif. where it was easier to pass. Now still working as an RN in Kaiser Sunset she has a house with a tennis court in Silver Lake , Ca. worth over 4+ million with working OT at the hospital and buying real estate at the right time.

She is a nurse practitioner so she makes a lot more plus with the overtime. It also helps she got married to a guy who is an Rn in ICU. He is a white guy so he doesn't like to work OT like his pinay wife. Timing is right in buying a house in Silver Lake a long time ago. The average house in that area is worth 1.5 million and she bought a house in a 3 lot property and renovated the house and build a tennis court in the backyard. A lot of movie producers, directors, politicans, and celebs like to live there because it so close to Hollywood and money is no problem to them.

1. Inspirational - your life is such an inspiration, not only to aspiring Filipinos but to all people around the world. Also, I am getting a lot of life lessons in just a span of 15mins. No wonder you have such a beautiful smile, talagang may pinaghuhugutan.
2. Full of positivity - what is really admirable to Filipinos, in general, that resiliency is ingrained to our souls. In your case, you rise up and took whatever challenges head-on. In whatever tragedies you are faced with, you never gave up, you cried but still managed to give a genuine smile. Really, I cried too when you mentioned about trials involving your youngest sister- losing her at a young age; losing a home to a fire; struggling with college tuition fees due to family's financial struggles; difficulties living in a foreign land alone - with language barriers, being homesick, and everything- it's all getting too much, but you never gave up, never wavered, never lose hope in life's pursuit to your dreams. And you handled it well with grace! Amazing!??!
3. You are such an empowered, talented, intelligent (book smart & street smart), confidently beautiful young Filipina (parang Miss Universe lang) who rightfully deserve all the blessings this world can offer, because really, you deserve it. You elevated the Filipinos in the eyes of the world, period.

Who knows your dream to become a doctor or singer maybe your daughter will continue your dreams.And beside you still young and you can still continue or pursue you dreams.Hope ,dream big ,pray,be ambitious and willingness to get your goals in life. My husband (58yrs) still studying n yet he cannot stop learning n he will continue to get his PHD after his second Batchelor in couple months.He finished BS Eng and Masters in business. Now almost finishing with his second BS Applied Mathematics. As long you have courage ,interest ,willingness and be ambitious to reach your dreams there is no impossible to attain your dreams.

With a chemical engineering degree and an MBA, I'd think Erica could do more than just work in International Sales. If she is in the US, she would probably be VP by now. But I suppose in Korea there is a glass ceiling for women no matter how well-educated, especially a foreign woman. I am definitely impressed by what she has achieved so far, despite coming from such a humble background. Way to go!! Your family must be so proud of you👍👍👍
Applying for a job and working in US is difficult even if you. Graduated from college and had MBA especially from outside US. There are a lot of Filipinos here in US that came from prestigious universities outside US, but they had to start from scratch. Unless you are a nurse, then things may be different here.
@@bernako1189 your right about being a nurse. My exwife was a nurse from the Philippine got hired by a hospital which led to getting a green card after 5 years of work as an RN. Moved to LA from Illinois because most of her pinay friends who couldn't pass the nursing exam moved to Calif. where it was easier to pass. Now still working as an RN in Kaiser Sunset she has a house with a tennis court in Silver Lake , Ca. worth over 4+ million with working OT at the hospital and buying real estate at the right time.

@@nini-ef3ji no she doesn't work for a rich athlete or celeb but works for Kaiser Permante at Sunset. Just google the salary of an RN in Los Angeles and you get around 132K a year. She is a nurse practitioner so she makes a lot more plus with the overtime. It also helps she got married to a guy who is an Rn in ICU. He is a white guy so he doesn't like to work OT like his pinay wife. Timing is right in buying a house in Silver Lake a long time ago. The average house in that area is worth 1.5 million and she bought a house in a 3 lot property and renovated the house and build a tennis court in the backyard. A lot of movie producers, directors, politicans, and celebs like to live there because it so close to Hollywood and money is no problem to them.
