Hey! I recommend not buying optics and stuff and to just use the gun to get xp and equip the optics and stuff when you unlock them. The perks are definitely worth it because they give you a massive advantage
The experience states you need to purchase only all of the guns in tiers 1 all the way to 10 to prestige. The guns in Event Tier are not required to prestige.
In a fact, I've completed all 4 prestiges in around 6-7 days. I doubt You are much of a tryhard and a nolife like I am, but in-case You are then all You just do is 12 hours in this game with a tier 10 gun, recommended M2HB. Also what I recommend You to do is save up at least 1.2M money before each prestige. So like, after You do the prestige, You'll be able to buy every gun up to tier 9 or even 10 pretty much. And no, no gamepasses were used in this process. It is time taking and boring, but it's much boring less if You put music playlist or funny video playlist to listen to in the background while slaughtering these zombies.

Idk how much I spent but it was like 600,000 after the first prestige, and the more you prestige the less everything will cost. It doesn't really matter if you're saving or just buying everything but for me I buy everything to get to the next prestige. Hope this helps! :)

My favorite is the fastest reliad speed perk, but the damage one is probably more helpful in most situations.
